Negative experience: Phone on 26 Nov and agreed to refund me the 4 weeks membership fees, but didn't receive the refund and keep on charge my credit card for December fees. Very disappointing and the staff didn't act on what they promised to the customer. They need customer to call to remind them.

Negative experience: Nice staff, unfortunately gym is constantly disgustingly dirty. Cleaners do not do their jobs at all. Boxing room in particular is disgusting, I would be surprised if it is cleaned once a month. Constantly dust and dirt everywhere, screws on the ground and falling apart bags and equipment. The rubber flooring is covered in holes, whole room is in urgent need of an upgrade. Toilets are disgusting, visible black mold everywhere and improper ventilation. For a gym in a nice area with a high membership cost one would expect that the facilities and environment this. Management should look at their neighbouring gym at mitcham and take notes

Negative experience: I took over a membership and came to Cross Rd because it’s close to home. Fortunately the membership I have means I can use any Goodlife Health club as this one feels very dirty and grungy.

Negative experience: really dirty. The showers are gross, with mold and grime everywhere. The changing rooms smell bad, and the floors are filthy. The toilets are unclean.

Negative experience: When I signed up for this gym I was told a renovation was going to be happening. This has not happened this gym is always very crowded and machines are constantly breaking and the treadmills are as old as me, and trust me I’m old. I am paying top dollar for this gym and they have just lied to me about this I think that they need to do better and I will be expecting some major upgrades soon.

Negative experience: Its really due for a renovation, Especially in the strength training area as the machines are constantly breaking being out of order and it is always busy, It needs more machines and benches and it would be great to see things like a Hack Squat, Shoulder raise Machine, TBar Rows, Incline chest press Machine plates and Hip Abductors. The place is just falling behind for the cost each week and it needs to do better John

Negative experience: Countless billing issues, staff unhelpful and not following through with pausing memberships, machines always out of order and bathrooms are always dirty and smelly. Goodlife Memberships are expensive, and you simply do not get what you pay for. I won’t be rejoining, (the crossroads location is especially bad, their city and paradise gyms are quite good though)

Negative experience: As a paying member for one of the more expensive gyms, almost every time I have asked about the sauna/steam room, it is never operational. I regret signing up with this gym.

Fantastic experience: This rating is based solely on the boxing classes which are run by Val. (Currently wed morning, Thur arvo, Sat morning). Val is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and an absolute machine. All her regulars (and there are a lot) would say the same! If you want to learn proper technique which is not just restricted to standard boxing, then you should start here. If you're a beginner, you should start here. If you wanna learn a gazelle hook, you should start here. Val has a background in various martial arts and even though she's 5ft nothing and adorable, I would not want to fight her LOL. This is NOT mind numbing brain dead boxercise. You will be challenged mentally and physically. You can expect long combinations/body shots/spinning back fists, elbows, knees, kicks. (Gentle of course, and/or supplemented with something else if you are injured, you're an adult you'll figure it out.) You will feel accomplished. When they say "everybody was kung fu fighting", this is the one. Edit: Thanks for the response GoodLife, please give her the recognition she deserves!

Negative experience: New client (three weeks in). Signed up and paid upfront for a 3 month membership only. They then incorrectly deducted a further $168 from my account the very next week. They apologised and said they will fix it. Here I am 2 weeks later and still no refund and I'm the one following up. Poor customer service and down right theft if you ask me. They keep pointing the finger at their outsourced billing company. I suggested they raise my situation with management and reconsider their service level agreement with their billing partner. It's not hard to provide good customer service. I think it's called "good manners" and "common sense". I will not be renewing.
Positive experience: Not the newest or best GoodLife, but does have a large sauna and steam room and a large cardio set up. Free lockable lockers and friendly staff.

Negative experience: They wasted my time. I told them that I wanted a short term membership and offered a 5 day trial. Went to the gym and they just wanted to sell me a big membership. They could have told me that by phone. Total waste of time
Positive experience: Staff are lovely and considerate. Some of the cardio equipment is showing its age. Bathrooms and change rooms are clean. Overall, it's one of the better gyms out there in terms of the variety of classes and things to do to keep fit.

Positive experience: I was at Goodlife for a total of 2 years over the span of about 4 - this goodlife is quite big with a lot of facilities which is great. Bathrooms typically smell and appear clean too. Sadly I did not renew this year as the gym has gotten progressively busier over time, leaving next to no machines free at a given moment when I’m there. Once I arrived and would see how full it was, I’d just want to turn around and go home. I feel like there should also be signs advising customers to not super set, as they’re just hogging 2-3 pieces of equipment at once. In my opinion there is far too many treadmills and far too little of machines for the customer demand there is. I have found a cheaper gym chain closer to me that also does not charge extra just to use a punching bag, it’s free for anyone (charging extra for boxing classes I don’t agree with). All in all, my experience was mostly positive, but this Goodlife needs a seriously big upgrade to fit its demographic. Also Goodlife - the picture I’m attaching is not at all your fault - but I cannot believe the audacity of some customers. This is one example of gross habits I’ve seen in your gym, which I think is enough to prompt more signage about hygiene. This is one example my brother sent me when he attended this gym. Thank you Goodlife - I’d love to come back one day if these things are tended to.

Negative experience: After being a loyal member for 7 years (while new members get cheeper memberships) never missed a payment, never complained, always been respectful and compliant, I got fined for updating my expired card a few days late. Very disappointed.
Negative experience: If I could give zero rating I would do that, just recently I had an extremely bad experience with them. The staff there is not trained, they are just greedy to get people on board and too focused on meeting their Sales targets and KPI that they practice un ethical behaviour. I gave them clear instructions on when I wanted to start my membership and the staff member called Sam agreed and yet set me up prior to date. On day one I spent 15 minutes just to attempt and get hold of free weight dumpbells with no luck. The smash balls were only the heavy one and deflated and when I raised this at the reception instead of looking into the matter other staff member tried to upsell me a PT session!!! Which I would pay more to show me around..... and when I asked to cancel my membership they told me my cool off period of one week has passed !!!! (Due to him starting my membership prior to the date I gave him and wanted to charge me a cancellation fee of 250$ for doing nothing. I would say please stay away from the gym, in all of this, the manager of the club didn't make any contact with me, despite of me requesting for it and I was told she is always busy!!! What good is a business ifthey don't have any customer service

Negative experience: Rang to do a trial and the creep manager kept calling saying I needed to give him a time to do a tour. I said I wasn't going to be in Adelaide until later in the week but he continued to call and insist he needed to lock in a time. Weird experience all round.

Negative experience: I got offered a trial for 7 days and due to work and study I couldn’t commit myself and cancelled my membership within the 7 days (which is free of charge). However the person in charge did not cancel my membership after I called in to cancel, and I got charged $140 the following month. Called up to the gym, they kept insisting that they will get back to me, it has a been a week and there is no update on the refund, and I just got charged another $15. Will need to resort to bank for the refund due to the unprofessional and incompetent staff. Absolute disaster
Positive experience: Facilities is good with open spaces but wish they update this flat and incline benches which has seen better days. Credit goes to the sauna and steam room (during staffed hours) which is a rare sight for a 24hr gym.
Fantastic experience: Sauna and steam room are great quality. They have great staff open hours and the steam room & sauna are quite large. Toilets and showers always clean and gym is never completely full when I visit. Staff are super friendly at the reception area. I would say this good life has the best open hours and facilities in comparison to all the others. Probably would like more machines here though as a lot of the space is taken by treadmills. Overall a great gym to go to!

Negative experience: A member for over a yr now. Customer service, not good at all. Staff barely engage. Machines are pretty old and crusty. Too many treadmills and minimal weight training space. Membership, just found out after being a member for over a yr that I pay for half hr training session with a dedicated trainer as it’s money incorporated within your membership that’s deducted every 3 months on top of your membership. Apparently, they tell you when you first sign up and because there are so many members, each member is supposed to track it up and contact the dedicated trainers, ( not sure who they are as no names were given out on my sign up day) then book it for yourself. How many members paying the 10 dollars every 3 months and unaware of this? Very much of a rip off! Happy to donate the 10 dollars to charity any day just not this. Very disappointed!!!
Positive experience: Can get busy after hours till 8pm. Good classes, training space, threadmills, bikes, sauna, steamroom and shower facilities. There's a mixture of old (weight mc) & new (dumbbells) equipment. Missing v-grip triangle attachment for seated cable row mc. No manual dip/leg raise mc. The gym site could also do with a few more flat benches and incline bench seats. The squat rack area (only 1flat bench?) and main area with (4 incline benches). No bar supports on the deadlift platform. The Weights rack for deadlift could also be move closer to d/l platform to reduce travel. There is space for this. These are small things but would essentially take the ratings to a 5star.
Fantastic experience: Man, I wish I had sussed out the Cross Roads GoodLife before any of the other gyms! Went there for the first time yesterday and the staff were lovely, the gym gave off good vibes, and the place was very clean and well set out. Definitely going to be my go-to gym from now on :)
Positive experience: Great gym have been going here since they opened friendly staff great fitness instructors. Plenty of options to suit all fitness levels love the fact that there is a boxing room. Definitely worth looking at if you are looking for a gym good job Cross Roads.

Negative experience: There is little or no social distancing, even in the light of the new strain of the Corona Virus. Have rarely seen any of the members either put their equipment away, much the less wipe equipment down. Staff usually too busy chatting behind counter to take any heed. Out of all the Goodlife Gyms I attend, this is by far the worse... too bad it's the closest one to where I live.

Positive experience: Needs a new carpet. Makes the club look outdated as the other gyms seem to have looked like new carpeting,
Negative experience: Out of date equipment. Bathroom facilities are very dirty. Misleading upon sign up, state No sign up fee. Then add it into the contract. I’ve been in the fitness industry for 17 years, never had such bad service, disgusting facilities and unethical practices. Best to avoid.
Negative experience: Decided to cancel my membership because I’ve recently moved and the Goodlife near the new place is no where near as well equipped, big or new as this club. Called the gym to cancel and was told over the phone that I need to do this in person, when I came in I told the person scanning people into the club I’d like to speak to someone about my membership (so obviously I’ve already got one) and was directed to someone else who asked if I wanted to join - I said no actually I’m here to cancel. ‘CANCEL?! I don’t do that mate’ he screamed at the top his lungs - super embarrassing in front of other members and staff. Really awful way to end a customer service experience. Why pay one price per week to access to all Goodlife clubs when the difference between the quality of everything from machines, change rooms, toilets, equipment, parking is totally different between clubs?
Negative experience: Severe lack of weights. Way to many unused cardio machines. Should be replaced with weights machines. The aerobics classes keep stealing the weights and never returning them. Almost impossible to find the right weights. The poorest maintenance of all the goodlife gyms I've been too. Maybe it's because its surrounded by one of the richest suburbs the owners and staff and beyond complacent. Bins often overflowing. Paper towel not replaced. Just not good enough. I've been regularly to 3 other goodlifes Payneham. Dernancourt and adelaide. All heads and shoulders above cross roads. I expected a better or atleast equal class of gym. Smallest weights area of any goodlife I've been. Ridiculously oversized cardio areas. Great sauna and steam room tho. And great changerooms. Seriously struggle to find a machine always have to modify my workout. Where there's 38 too many treadmills. Pick your act cross roads

Fantastic experience: My wife & I are foundation members of Goodlife Westbourne Park and have recently returned after a 6 month break. I was unsure of the return process but I was quickly reassured by Emma, the Customer Service Manager, over the phone, who walked me through the process with her friendliness and professionalism. She took her time to explain what our options were and welcomed us back personally when we returned the next day. I would like to commend her for making us so welcome and highly recommend this gym to anyone considering joining. Thanks once again Emma.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Heakth Club, Westbornèpark is on the corner of Goodwood Rd + Cross Rd. Plenty of offstreet parking. This is a popular large gym withh plenty of equipment + amenities to test yourself + enjoy.
Negative experience: As someone who works in customer service, this is not what it should look like. You are not told when the T&Cs are updated, phone calls, Facebook messages and emails often go unanswered for days, weeks at a time. When you finally get onto someone, even on messenger, they drop off and stop replying at random parts of the conversation and there is little to no communication between these platforms so they appear incredibly unorganised. I cannot wait for my membership to run out so I can go somewhere that actually values customer service.
Negative experience: For a while now I had been going as a guest of my wife. Today I wasn’t allowed in as a guest. The girl at the counter said it was not continuing. We told the girl that we used the guest entry last week without problem and the week before that??. Also another issue for me is I offered to join a few weeks ago if they matched my wife’s membership for me. Hmm um ahh....no
Negative experience: Have called twice over a period of a few weeks about my membership ( which I have been a member for many years). They said i'm on a list with hundreds of other people on there and that they have no idea how long it will take to get to me (wow if you have that many people waiting to hear back, you have a serious problem!). The guy who answered the second time said he doesn't have time to keep talking to me and that its tough luck! I couldn't really believe that after being a member for so long that I would be fobbed off like that!! Very disappointing!! Surely in a time like this the club would really be trying to hold onto their long time members.
Negative experience: A worst gym, such a lier, they need our money, if you go there, don’t show you bank details and anything about money, such a greedy thing, staff are very bossy type only one staff I impressed Brayn or something sorry unfortunately I forgot the name, no aqequate utensils and nothing, a very worst gym in Adelaide, The main thing is the lier,they Gide everything and keep a smile until when we signed in the contract, then after we can see the real greedy portion, I never ever referred this club for anyone anyomre
Negative experience: been a member there for around 9 yrs, have called 3 times in the last 24 hours asking for a call back regarding a price increase they have sneakily changed without letting me know. all 3 times the managers are in meetings and i have been told i will get contacted straight back - still waiting for a call back. very disappointing having to contact any business 3 times with no return call.
Fantastic experience: Super friendly stuff, have been to other Goodlife gyms but no where else had such good customer service. All the girls at reception are super nice, always smiling and welcoming. Unfortunately, I can’t remember their names, only remembered Hannah, she is always very helpful! The gym equipment not the best but pretty good, sometimes can be very busy during peak hours and not easy to find a parking. But overall, I enjoy going there. Highly recommend!
Positive experience: Facilities are good but staff are oblivious on how to turn their music down as it's too loud if you want to listen to your own. Seems the volume control is a state kept secret, having asked numerous times for it to be turned down only to be told the "volume control is broken" and "don't know where it is" to reduce volume. Not good enough!

Negative experience: DONT USE THIS GYM. Find somewhere else!!! Their equipment is always out of service for weeks on end. Sauna nearly always out of action. Their contracts are like home mortgages with cancellation payments.

Negative experience: THIS PLACE DESERVES ZERO STARS!! This gym is the WORSE gym I have ever gone to. The staff is annoying and does not care about the well-being of the members and all they want is your money. They already have exceeded the capacity of people within the gym but they push for more people to join. I have only gymed at Crossroads for a few months and I am sick and annoyed at the staff and the gym all together. If you are thinking of joining a gym please at ALL COSTS avoid this gym.

Negative experience: Lacks of variety of bars, Outdated equipment with no weight indicate kg/lb on it. Around 40 people gathering in weight area at afternoon and you can hardly get your equipment without waiting. Hidden fee costs a lot because their employee won’t tell you that when you set up Feels like this gym only focus on how to get more members to set up and their gym maintenance and equipment and services are awful af. Overpriced extremely, Hidden fee costs extremely high.

Negative experience: My suggestion is do not show your bank detail to them. Their employee won't tell you the truth of fee costing in order to earn money off you. I said I only stay in this gym for 2 weeks and their employee said Ok it will be 15.95 per week then they charge me 99 dollars as set up fee without telling me.After negotiate their stuff promised me to refund but actually they did nothing, Just a liar. Also the equipments and the environment are pretty awful. Most of their equipments are old af without kg/lb label on it. if you want to go to their gym at afternoon around 2pm-7pm you will hardly to find your machine because it was around 40 people gathering their. they hire people to give theirselves 5 stars rating on google map lol. If you are really rich and want to donate to them you can set up at goodlife cross road. If you really want to workout and get gains you should go another gym otherwise you will regret it.

Negative experience: The employee won’t tell you the truth. The facilities are very old and most of the equipment have no kg/lb on it. Many hidden fees are exist. Too many people in the gym and hard to find empty equipment. Felling suck during the workout

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in Adelaide. It has a great range of equipment, plenty of personal space even on busy days, a range of classes and good friendly service. The body balance class instructor (Kate) is also amazing. She is a friendly, always smiling, cheerful, motivational and passionate class instructor and always switches up the workouts so it never gets boring. Really an amazing class to go too.

Negative experience: such a liar, the lady said i should pay 3 section for 3 hours and my old trainer said I just have 1h30 and the manager said i have 2 hours. SO THE QUESTION IS WHO IS THE PERSON I HAVE TO LISTEN TO? and i already paid for that 3 week ago and received 30 min for only 1 section. i already talked with the manager and their club so so many times but nothing change until now. they said they will find another trainer for me again again and again. hopefully you can cheating on new member like that. this is new experience for me and the worst i ever had.
Negative experience: Be very careful about signing up. Staff will not tell you correct facts in order to get more money.
Positive experience: Pretty decent and a good size. The equipment is all getting toward being a bit old but seems to be reasonably well repaired regularly. Often very busy even at what would normally be considered "quiet" times
Positive experience: Great health studio with a lot of group exercise classes everyday including weekends. Sauna and steam rooms for relaxation. Lots of lockers on the changing room. But no swimming pool facility. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Positive experience: Great airy bright open plan gym. Spacious weights area. Plenty of room to do your thing. They even have emergency duress pendants for personal security. A fantastic idea.

Positive experience: Great boxing room and good weights set-up but best avoided if you spend most of your time on treadmills as they're quite old and the belt has a tendency to slip when jogging.
