Positive experience: I get the reviews below, I've been a member for 7 years. Stopped going to Glenelg instead of using other areas. Then this week I was in the area and walked in shocked. The brand new machines were modern, fantastic and refreshing. The lick of paint was inviting. Tinted windows made the place be so much cooler to workout. Easy carpark, large group fitness room. Grateful for the wifi so I can get motivated. Thank you Glenelg for the new equipment.

Negative experience: worn out equipment, regular issues with the property of some kind: liking ceiling or speakers won’t work, the floor is sloped at an angle the bar with weights can roll and usually floor is dirty Classes are full In reply to your request contact you directly I did a few times via email on a few occasions, nothing happened received standard reply similar to this sorry to hear that , but bad luck .. sort of attitude I don’t have social media accounts

Positive experience: Update: the staff help me to chase up the refund and cancel the membership at the end "I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Goodlife Gym. I have called three times to cancel my membership, and each time I was assured it would be processed. However, my membership is still active, and I continue to be charged. This level of negligence and lack of follow-through is unacceptable. I expect a company of this size to handle basic requests efficiently and to value their members' time and money. It's frustrating to have to chase after something that should be straightforward, and the lack of accountability is concerning. I urge anyone considering a membership to be aware of this poor service and lack of customer care. I hope this review gets the attention of management and prompts them to take immediate corrective action."

Negative experience: Was cohersed into joining at Glenelg saying they offered Pilates ! I used the gym once and it was floor stretches not Pilates !? not what I wanted ! I rang up next day and said cancel the membership ! I actually have been calling fir last 6 months to cancel thinking they would ! I have arma credit police contacting me daily saying I owe $500 and I’m about to loose my credit rating even after explaining to them 10 times I only went once and it was cancelled with in my cooling off period !! This is causing me so much stress ! For god sake sort it out good life !! I expect this so stop sort it out Milena !!

Fantastic experience: I love the fact that I can go to classes as well as use the gym equipment. I love my 'Barr' class on Monday's at Glenelg with Leeanne. She welcomes everyone and gets to know all of our names and makes us feel so welcome. I love the equipment at Marion and Hindmarsh. Please bring back Yoga on Saturdays at Marion 11pm. The teacher was amazing and I will miss the class.

Negative experience: I have been a GoodLife member for seven years and have generally been satisfied with the gym. Both the current staff and previous manager have been commendable. However, last week, a trainer displayed rude and inappropriate behavior towards my partner. We promptly emailed the manager but received no response within a week. When I approached the reception staff to meet with the manager, she declined to meet me. On the same day, the trainer exhibited the same aggressive behavior towards me, which prompted me to respond similarly. Despite notifying the manager again, she refused to engage in a conversation. I find this new manager's management style and practices to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I hope to see positive changes soon.

Negative experience: Be very careful when cancelling or suspending your membership as they will keep charging you fees and then use excuses not to refund and will be extremely rude and unprofessional. The admin services are very substandard with the staff lacking basic customer training and knowledge. The machines and equipment need to be cleaned more often the current cleaning service is not sufficient.

Positive experience: Love GoodLife gyms. Glenelg have recently upgraded all their machines. Good amount of equipment, good classes. Definitely recommend
Negative experience: Male staff at the desk refused to help my mum with the machines. She didn't know how to use them and they said "we aren't sure either!". Still waiting weeks on a call from a personal trainer. Her first fitness class the instructor didn't even speak to her, it took someone in the class to advise her that a particular other class might be more suitable. No one is on the floor to help. Do they even want members?
Positive experience: I was holidaying in Glenelg. The club has the best Zumba instructor...I think her name is Alexander...absolutely brilliant!!!
Fantastic experience: Joined recently. Took the quick start option with trainer Daniel. Couldn't have been happier with his help and advice. Also kudos to the team on reception who were all so friendly and welcoming, especially Hannah. I'm looking forward to joining the many classes which are available and already loving the amazing equipment. Never a problem with overcrowding here either.
Fantastic experience: I have to rate 5 starts because they hired Alexandra as a Zumba trainner. I love her classes!

Negative experience: Really awful experience. A year or two ago I saw a Groupon ad for a short term GoodLife Gym Membership (around 2 weeks) paying directly through the Groupon app. I was very interested however i had afew questions before I committed. I went into GoodLife Glenelg and was completely forced out of the Groupon deal. The guy would not listen to a word I had to say and continued to tell me that I need to join and that the Groupon deal was a waste of time and money. He had all the paperwork and a pen waiting for a signature so I could be locked into some form of contract. I've never felt so bullied into doing something I didn't want to do. I ended up walking out and obviously not purchasing the Group on deal either. Today I receive a random phonecall from GoodLife Glenelg asking about my fitness goals and expectations? For some reason my number is still in their system? Obviously with the intention of signing me up to some form of contract. I've never had such a bad experience with a gym and I've never even joined.
Negative experience: They lock you into long contracts with high cancellation fees. Very old equipment and little quantity.

Fantastic experience: Loving being a new member at GL Glenelg - should have joined a couple of years ago as it's only a 15 minute walk from home - oh well I'm here now : ) The staff are very friendly & they actually use your name which sadly, is rare. It's very obvious the club is run extremely well by the amazing manager Jess. It's never too crazy busy so I usually get to utilize the equipment I'm wanting to use at the time. I haven't done classes for years so this is a real bonus for me beacause the variety is amazing. I love Leanne's body balance & pilates on a Wed & Thurs morning - oh how my poor old body need this these days lol. Sue's RPM is fab also. I look forward to going to the gym regularly & it feels like home - I'm a very happy member : )))

Positive experience: I love the gym, I go 5am and I like it then, works for me. The gym can be crowded at later times though, so morning is just perfect for me. The gym is not as spacious and they don’t have some equipment compared to the one @ Diagonal Rd,Marion, apart from that I like. I can’t comment so much on the staff because I rarely have any interaction with the staff but the times I did they were nice.

Fantastic experience: One of the best of all the goodlifes in the state for sure. I've been a member off and on for 7 years, I've been to many other gyms all across the state and the staff here and at all goodlifes are just so extra. You totally get what you pay for.
Positive experience: Not too crowded decent equipment could do with a couple small upgrades on equipment but it all works well not much Room for Floor exercises such as lunges But God do they harass you about paying the money So if your going to sign up make sure your going to stay signed up

Positive experience: Decent gym with good trainers, but comparing to other good life health clubs it lacks spa, swimming pool and sauna but other than that it's good
Negative experience: Staff are rude, unprofessional and dishonest. Placed me into a contract I did not ask for and signed it on my behalf behind the reception desk without my permission. Apparently I went behind the reception desk to use the check in computer to complete an Online Management Gateway link that is supposed to be emailed to new members Be very careful about what you sign and what personal details you give to staff. Avoid this gym, there far better options such as Derrimut's and the Gym Glenelg which have far better facilities and you wont be railroaded into a contract. You will be also supporting an Australian owned.
Fantastic experience: Out of all goodlife in metropolitan southern area Glenelg one is best for weight training in general in my opinion, not the best range of equipments and machines but still got all the things you would need to train and are well maintained. Would be nice to have hack squat machine, hyperextension bench, decline bench press, proper cable crossover full deck, deadlift platform, lying leg curl machine.

Positive experience: Timetables suit students, mothers on maternity leave and those who exercise late during dinner. My membership recently expired apparently about a month ago. I went to use my card and the man informed me its expired. I was like okay.... how come no one bothered to call me? So my previous offer was $14.86 p/w for all clubs and he offered me 22$ per week or 18$ for 1 club only. I laughed. Id raher walk my dog for free. Thanks anyway. I find the membership price has increased++ within 12 months. Maybe see you in winter for 3 months.

Not winning GoodLife just average life.. nearly worth traveling even to anytime
Negative experience: A bunch of penny Pinchers. Pretty faces, not much else. The facilities aren't bad, but when they refuse to change a simple battery in the rowing machines, even when asked, you have to wonder why you're paying $50 a month + a $60 signups fee. I could dribble on and on but I'm going to quit as soon as I get the chance - so glad I chose a monthly plan, not locked in to a 12 month contract like they bullied me to!
Fantastic experience: Anzac Hwys one of the best equipped in Adelaide.
Positive experience: Joined over a month ago. Staff were very prompt with attending to my interest. Received 3 PT sessions on joining and was paired with someone who matched me quite well. Sometimes can get a wee bit crowded, but with friendly gym goers, it all seems to flow well. Plenty of parking on the perimeter and underneath. Always a friendly smile at the desk. Equipment clean and functioning. Very happy with my choice of gym.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with this gym. To use the lockers you actually need to buy a lock and bring it every time. All other Goodlife Clubs have the tap and lock or code. When its my leg day I have to drive in another gym so I can train. This gym doesn't have neither the basic machines for legs. (Missing Prone leg curl, Abductor & Adductor Machines, Step-mill and more I will write till tomorrow) No space for stretching. It's an absolute joke! No sauna! You need to be lucky to find to park in the morning because of the medical centre downstairs! Outdated equipment! Also lacks the variety of bars, versatility and equipment most gyms have as standard. Definitely don’t go here during busier times as there is no where near enough equipment to go around. It's a cute little gym for classes and cardio. I email the manager this as well, he made an appointment to meet me and talk about this and when I show up he said that we don't have any appointment and that he is busy but he will give me a call the next few days. Never! Very unhappy can't wait for my membership to finish and sing up in a gym that deserves my money.

Positive experience: Nice enough gym, with lovely reception staff on Wednesday nights. A good variety of classes, but I find having a multi-club pass that the same class if often on at the same time as nearby clubs and the time tables rarely change so if you can't make particular classes when you join it is unlikely that the classes will be swapped around offering you other options next term.
