Negative experience: I recently visited Hartsfield Park Recreation Centre and had an incredibly disappointing encounter with one of their receptionists. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the receptionist was more interested in enforcing her own biased rules than providing a welcoming atmosphere. Despite my interest in exploring various areas of the facility, I was rudely denied access to certain areas without any valid explanation. It was clear that the receptionist's discriminatory behavior influenced her decisions, as she only permitted me to enter the volleyball area, which was in a deplorable condition. The facility was filthy and run-down, which made it evident that maintenance and cleanliness were not prioritized. What's even more appalling is the underlying implication that I, as an Indigenous Australian individual, would somehow be perceived as dirty and unworthy of accessing certain areas of the facility. This prejudiced assumption is not only offensive but completely unacceptable in any establishment. Overall, my experience was marred by the rude and discriminatory behavior of the receptionist, as well as the neglected state of the facilities. I urge the management to address these issues promptly and ensure that all patrons are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background.

Negative experience: if i could give no stars i would!! rude, arrogant and racist staff… reception was the worst for this… no help whatsoever!!!! the whole place is a monstrosity, absolute filth everywhere. when brought to the staff attention they said “you clean it then” and started laughing between coworkers. they don’t care about concerns. a lot of health and safety problems, as a mother i would not be taking my children around this centre EVER AGAIN! waste of money and time, would recommend taking a drive to a different recreation.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a inclusive place to work out. It is usually uncrowded and so you can use the equipment you need. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I went to the volleyball courts. They're nice but it can be hot since there's no air con. The serving space is pretty decent.

Positive experience: Excellent lighting and very good venue for soccer. Some of the club rooms on the outer grounds are dilapidated and in desperate need of upgrades. Not sure how you can fit a cricket team in them.

Fantastic experience: I did the Tuesday training before Covid and it was great. The fans worked well, staff were friendly, and facilities were clearly labeled and easy to find inside. Enjoyed playing and using the 2 hour special for Squash and Badminton!

Positive experience: Play table tennis here with a friendly bunch. The centre hosts a wide variety of activities and staff very friendly. Ps already getting very warm inside not even full summer yet - cooling/insulation needs improvement!! UPDATE: played here today and as I suspected it was unacceptably hot and humid everyone sweating buckets not what you want when exercising. Only has ineffectual fans in roof no aircon.

Positive experience: The squash court hire is quite expensive. We changed to Belmont Squashworks which are more reasonable price. I like their kids holiday program because Ruth is there. 3 Stars are all for Ruth. Other receptionist's customer service is not impressive which bring their star down. If we go there, it is purely for Ruth's great customer service. Every sports center is the same to us. But the people there makes big difference.

Positive experience: We usually go here to rent badminton courts. Pros: Clean and modern facilities Cons: A $22 rental price per hour for the badminton court is much more expensive than others. Tip: I've only been here during the weekends, so I'm not sure if it's also the same for the rest of the days. But it is advisable to book your court after 8am as the centre opens at exactly 8am or a couple of minutes past 8am during the weekends. This shaves about 5-10 minutes from our booking, so if we book an 8am-9am badminton session, we only get to play straight for only about 55 minutes at the most.

Negative experience: Beware. THIEVES ARE BRAZEN . Went to our sons weekly tball game only to have some low life obviously watch us walk away b4 smashing our car window and taking wife's out of view handbag which she'd hid b4 we parked up. As she got out of the car, with one lit cigarette, door slightly ajar, she tucked the rest under her seat -THE ONLY POSSIBLE TIME the lowlifes would've seen a pack of cigs going under there. .park under cameras if going. Yes reported to police.
