Negative experience: The pool water is very cold in this cold weather. Most shower’s faucets don’t work and showers floors are dirty and has fungus. It’s absolutely disgusting.
Negative experience: Showers are extremely bad in both male and female bathrooms. No taps and no shower heads. There are only 4 working. One is not working properly and was warned by another member not to use. So only 3 working really. Such a long wait for showers. Apparently a long time member says it has been like this for a long time and no matter how much she complains they never listen.

Negative experience: Partner and I cancelled memberships in January. They continued to charge us until I noticed the overcharges in March, and my partner when he noticed them mid-May. Have agreed to refund but from the below reviews, this is a common occurrence for Goodlife.

Fantastic experience: I am surprised at some of the negative comments. I cannot say much on the pricing and staff etc but I find this gym, pool and facilities etc to be very good. I have unlimited access to this gym during staffed hours. Staff appear friendly and have always greeted me with a smile. I dont really need much more help from them. This gym is huge with a lot of equipment and machines. It has some good machines which are not present in other gyms. It is not crowded everytime I have visited but I do avoid peak hours. The swimming pool is very good and clean. Plenty of showers etc in the locker room. Some of the shower doors are broken etc but that can be easily fixed. One or two machines may need some oiling or WD40 etc but thats not a deal breaker. Overall a very good and big gym with plenty of equipment and good facilities.There is a big clean swimming pool to go with it. I will be coming here more often and will be bringing friends with me also.

Negative experience: This has been a deeply disappointing experience. As a long-time Good Life Club member, I’ve never encountered such a lack of professionalism and care from both management and staff. Reaching anyone is near impossible — they’re too busy to even return a call. The gym facilities are severely outdated, with most equipment showing clear signs of wear and age. The situation is made worse by the cafe on the first floor, which allows random individuals from the street to freely access the gym bathrooms — a serious security concern. Even more alarming is the presence of unsupervised children running around near heavy gym equipment. This is not only inappropriate but incredibly unsafe. To top it off, the facility often carries unpleasant odors, which reflects poor maintenance and hygiene standards. At this point, I have no intention of returning. This is not the standard I expect from a club I’ve supported for years.

Negative experience: I enjoy the sauna and pool, but the cleanliness isn’t great, the gym equipment is outdated, and I wish the sauna stayed open later (I have noticed sometimes the sauna malfunctions or gets turned off earlier before staff hours). This gym has lots of potential and needs a glow up! The biggest issue was billing, I was wrongly charged $25 a week instead of $15 for an entire year. As a student, this was a huge financial burden. I tried for months to get them to stop overcharging me, but the money kept coming out. Despite contacting staff multiple times (11 times and counting) and repeating my story over and over, nothing was done until I threatened to leave a negative review. It was very draining mentally. They eventually apologised, but when I asked for compensation, they ignored me. For the high price, the poor management and lack of customer care make it not worth it. I'm locked in a 2-year contract.

Negative experience: I don’t want to give them even 1 star. I took 1 year membership with Goodlife health club sorry for me it’s badlife unhygienic health club. My story is that they took my everything from my locker(which worth near about $400-$500) list of items :- over ears headphone, BCAA, Pre workout, swimming Gears, 2 pairs of shorts and Sando, shower gel, does,and put that into dustbin and I am using locker after asking their unprofessional staff member (who even don’t know the rules and regulations of gym). And when I go for compliment next day to a staff member instead of apology he start educating me about locker rules which they didn’t tell me when I start using locker. How anyone can throw so many things into dustbin. Worst than worst thing is I spoke to manager about all of these things and he tell me that we just freeze your membership for 2 weeks and they deduct money again with fine in next week. That’s my life worst experience. As i leave here on my own far away from my parents they just charging money for everything and I feel like mental harassment so, today I pay them $51 to stop my membership I wish I lived here with my parents than 200% I go in consumer court for justice. That’s my worst experience and my feeling. I request you to all who are reading my feedback just please go to your nearby gym because specially this Cannington Goodlife health club doesn’t worth your money, time and your efforts. Thank you.

Negative experience: Worst possible service ever….money hungry but never willing to assist a member. Equipments are old , shower rooms are mouldy. Steam room is not maintained…lockers are not working…it’s a bladdy rip off.. No wonder my friends are all cancelling their membership…extremely poor support

Positive experience: Gym is decent has a lot of potential. Not the worst gym but definitely needs a revamp. Kind of like how GL mt Lawley went thru a stunning transformation. They ditched their pool which no one was using. I don’t like how the saunas seem like butchers slaughter booth. Doesn’t give the same vibes from international fitness firsts or Good life’s. Lighting is terrible, gym layout is similar to the Myaree gym. Came here because of the sauna and pool facilities but was disappointed. Came because expect saunas to be dope af and place to socialise and make new friends males and females, not to be leered at by creepy old letches. Service staff was nice on a Sunday. Great vibe she was very friendly although seemed new, seemed to work extra hard even though supposed to be clocked off. Literally the day after the burst water pipe in the front of the building. TLDR Recommendations - change lighting - unisex cold plunge - unisex sauna & steam rooms

Negative experience: Toilets are always flooded, there is a light that flashes constantly (not a new problem, many reviews mentioning this) weights are never re-racked, just laying all over the floor. The price for a membership here is too expensive for outdated machinery, unclean conditions and not the friendliest staff. When I called to cancel my membership, I was asked why. I stated everything above, the lady then tells me that you will find that at every gym. Wrong! You can go to Revo for 10 dollars a week, have access to every location, toilets are pristine, weights are always re-racked and staff are lovely. Instead of telling your customers they are wrong, have a look at your business

Negative experience: Outdated equipment. Poor gym etiquette Water is occasionally turned off no email or anything to advise. Gym is closed no email or anything. Only upside is staff and certain times/areas not being busy.

Negative experience: The good thing about this gym is that the floor is clean and tidy. However, everything else is disappointing. Most of the machines are outdated, with treadmills that are only compatible with iPods, which is technology from over 15 years ago. The cushions on the machines are severely worn out, making them uncomfortable and unhygienic to use. The weights on the machines are all covered in rust, and many of the machines show significant wear and tear. The water cooler setup is an electrical hazard, which is extremely unsafe. Hygiene is another major issue—there are no hygiene wipes available. Instead, the gym provides only two bottles of homemade citric spray with paper towels at each corner, which is insufficient for maintaining proper cleanliness. Also, unlike other gym fitness which offers 14 calender days or 10 business day cooling period with 20% of remaiing membership fees, goodlife cancellation cooling period only offers 7 business days with fixed fees of $345/295/245, depending on your remaining contract period. If you're looking for a good old school gym environment with a price premium, this is the only place you can find in Perth. This gym desperately needs an upgrade and better maintenance to meet basic standards.

Negative experience: When I signed up I asked for a 1 month trial membership and they said they would help me with an exercise and diet program, never got the exercise and diet program the then charged me for a second month without my permission refused to refund me told me I need to give 1 month notice to cancel my membership and then attempted to charge me for a third month , They have good equipment but it's not worth the stress and hassle you have to go through never going hear agin , I've been to 3 outhe gyms(or similar places) and never had any of these issues

Negative experience: Pretty disappointing when you plan a workout and recovery session only to find out the staff turn off the steam room 30minutes before staffed hours officially come to an end on a Saturday. 10 + people left sitting in a steam room that doesn't work 30minutes before close is pretty piss poor.

Negative experience: I've been going to this gym for over 4 years now and I have only seen it declining over time. The machines get broken and don't get repaired for months (it wouldn't be an issue if there was multiple of every machine), they recently removed heaps of perfectly usable lower weight Dumbells and higher weight Kettlebells from upstairs and replaced them with Kettlebells of lower weight?? So many of the cable machines also need to be oiled as they aren't smooth to use anymore, I don't need added resistance when doing Lat Pull Downs. The pool is gross, last time I was in there I saw dead skin and bandaids on the surface of the water and when I went to complain, all they did was handball the responsibility of cleaning the pool to another organisation that also uses it. It honestly sucks that it costs $20 - $27 a week with the conditions stated. I bought a membership to REVO across the road and it costs less than $10 a week and I don't have any of the problems there that I have at Goodlife. The only thing I like about this gym at the moment, is that there are rarely ever any school kids/underage people there.

Negative experience: How long does it take to fix a broken shower? 3 years and still waiting - this sums up Goodlife Cannington. The gym is good for fitness classes and the pool. Otherwise the fitness machines are old (none of the entertainment system works on any of the treadmill etc.), and despite having 12 men showers, only 3 are working properly - broken shower head, broken door, only has hot or cold water etc. Update - despite the response stating the showers have been fixed, it's a complete and blatant lie. Again, it just sums up how seriously they take the feedback. A gym staff told me he pays to go to another gym to work out even though he has free membership here, I wonder why!

Negative experience: I have been extremely disappointed with my experience at Goodlife Gym. The facility is far from clean, with dirt and dust evident in many areas. Additionally, the workout machines are either not working properly or are incredibly outdated, making it difficult to have an effective workout. The customer service is also below standard. The staff members are unfriendly, and their communication with customers is rude and unprofessional. It’s clear that the team lacks proper training in providing good service. The overall atmosphere is unwelcoming, and it’s unfortunate that this gym doesn’t prioritize its members’ experience. I expected much more from a gym of this size, but unfortunately, Goodlife has fallen far short of expectations. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and clean workout environment.

Positive experience: Its a Gym guys! sure lots of equipment's are dated but they still work. This isn't a super modern gym but i didn't find it bad at all, like its suggested by many other recent reviews. The only issue i had was with the sales/reception, i went there couple of weeks back and they quoted me a very high weekly price to join and when i tried to takeover someone's membership of Marketplace they tried to match and even beat that price, even made the whole transfer process hard and until i had a heated argument they didn't send me a link to transfer for 4 days. I found this very unethical. All that is sorted now though. Went to the gym in the morning, loved the vibe, good experience overall. was busy but expected i guess. Men change rooms were clean and dry, iron, hairdryer all worked. What else do i expect. maybe shower areas, some doors are sort of broken (Or half close, other half is missing). if they can upgrade some dated machines then good else it doesn't bother me too much. Negative experience: I ent to Cannington Goodlife yesterday after ringing them before 7.00 am. I did not speak with anyone until 7.15 after ringing several times. The website states that they open at 6.00 on Saturdays. But they were not. I rang to find out when it would be least busy in the pool. The reception said that no one was in the pool then and would get busy at 12.00. I arrived at 9.30 as I do not live closely and noticed there were swimming lessons on. I stared that she told me on the phone that there was no one in the pool. How could she not see that there were many people using the pool? Reception faces the glass wall to the pool. I was given wrong information which was frustrating. The receptionist should have known this as the swimming lessons are on every Saturday from 8.00- 1.00 pm, which I found out when I entered the pool area. I went to the pool this morning arriving 7.50. No one was at reception so I went to the pool noticing a sign saying the pool was closed. I was very annoyed as I had come from far. I made a phone call then had a shower. At 8.15 I noticed a woman walk through the pool door and saw the sign had been taken off. The pool was open. I spoke with the receptionist and was told the reception area is manned from 8.00 on Sundays. In Myaree which is where I tend to go, reception is open at 7.00. Why is there such a difference in time especially since the weather is warming up and more people are wanting to use the pool. But again this information is not on the website. Very annoying and disappointing Goodlife. Also the toilet area and sinks were very wet and dirty. Not a good look.

Negative experience: Extremely poor experience with the customer support and the way good life works in setting up contract, As I have enrolled on behalf of my wife for one month only and made it very clear to them but their staff intentionally tick recurring payments for weeks on week. My wife went only first two days in July and never went back and we were hoping membership will be cancelled in month time but i was surprised today when I see today they keep debiting money from last 2.5 months continoulsly and when I went there to close it asked to pay $50 and then after said you need to pay next 4 weeks as well($140) Asked them to show me my signed contract they don't have even we check our all emails didn't find any contract signed copy sent to us. After so much argument we asked to share your manager details and staff said we can't share. This is completely unethical way of doing business and staff behavior was so rude when we asked for cancellation. Their intentions is to just robbed customer money Completely unethical, unprofessional people at cannington I will escalate this matter to highest level and won't recommend anyone to go goodlife gym

Negative experience: I signed up for a membership at Goodlife hoping for a good workout experience. Unfortunately, what I got was a workout in frustration. The customer service is abysmal. I've sent multiple emails about issues with my weekly payments, which haven't been updated since July 23rd, but they haven't even bothered to respond. It's like they're actively trying to avoid communication. The gym itself is old and outdated. The equipment is worn down, and there's a severe lack of options. It's clear that they haven't invested in keeping the gym modern or up-to-date. If you're looking for a gym that values its customers and offers a decent workout environment, steer clear of Goodlife Cannington. You're better off investing your time and money elsewhere.

Negative experience: Bad service. When I went back home and cannot use gym, I discussed with the receptionist about the fee. She told me I just need to pay $10 each month, after two months, when I came back, I received the payment of 533.39! I asked the receptionist she said my membership has been cancelled and I need to contact ARMA ton discuss. Every time I contact with ARMA, no one response! How terrible it is!

Negative experience: Girls on the reception are low IQ, everytime I walked in for an inquiry they would say they would take it to ‘management’ and get back to me but it went on and on for months. Not sure if any of them received any training or if they even communicate together because no one seemed to have any clue about the inquiry I put it with the other staff member. My sister asked the receptionist in person to “upgrade” her membership to Pilates and she received an email later that day telling her that she needs to pay a fee to “downgrade” and that she has to renew her contract first. You’re losing a lot of customers by hiring low iq receptionists that can’t comprehend what you’re saying to them and I have now moved on to a different franchise solely for that! Cheers!!

Negative experience: I had a negative experience with the service at this gym. The staff had poor communication skills, often changing their responses. I requested to cancel my membership due to the gym's lack of cleanliness and maintenance issues with the equipment and washrooms. This gym stands out as the worst I've encountered in all the countries I've visited.i just never go to gym they still charge me.

Negative experience: NEVER JOIN GOODLIFE GYMS. Most unethical gym ever. My brother in law joined specifically mentioning he wants to join only for 3 months and while signing up staff mentioned all good just send us an email it will be cancelled. But when we sent them an email here comes the catch first started asking silly questions and said it will be cancelled after you finish your 30 days notice. I knew they will pull something off not surprised with their behaviour. They are thief’s will lie to their teeth while signing up. Gym is dirty and has old machines. So please do yourself a favour and not join GOODLIFE gyms.

Negative experience: Old and dated treadmills, ellipticals, and cycles that don’t connect to Apple Watch. The place has a constant chlorine smell as soon as you enter, from the poor ventilation of the swimming pool. It makes me feel yucky while doing cardio, and the bathrooms are just actual yuck. It’s a poor gym experience - I don’t feel healthy there. I prefer Goodlife Karrinyup for a much nicer gym+wellness experience. The parent company Fitness & Lifestyle Group should probably do some investment since they are such a hugely profitable company…

Negative experience: Be careful with their contract, my contract for gym and pool ended on july, and I asked to them to cancel my contract on july cause i was no more interested. And since July, they kept charging me every weeks for the service, i did not notice until september when my bank account didnt have enough credit to charge. Is this consider as scamming? when I asked them about why you guys keep charging me even my contract is already expired, they replied me "because you did not tell us the reason you quit"... I DONT THINK THAT IS YOUR BUSINESS? After I refused to pay, they still keep charging and I had to pay more than 200$ for overdue payment for service that i did not use for 2 months, which I already paid them? STOP SCAMMING!!

Negative experience: First off my 24 hour card pass keeps on stop working so I have to keep getting it reset. Next equipment is broken and when I try to report about in in the Facebook group page my post keeps on getting removed as they don't wanna fix anything. Weighs are left all over the floor and staff don't do anything about it same again I try to report it and my post gets removed, they can't handle anybody making complaints or trying the make things better.
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the fitness classes And so looking forward to Melvins combat class in June. The instructors are amazing Full of motivation and the smiles and joy they have on their faces while doing class is extremely inspiring. That’s why I go very good for your mind. Negative experience: Very disappointed with first time experience this goodlife gym. I thought why not to join goodlife back again as I was their previous member in different state. They are running a free trial on website and I upload my detail , receive call from receptionist to quickly come to zym , when I went to the zym she said $20 for entry and they running the promotion on website for free trial. Still she charge $20. I highly recommend everyone do not go this zym and do not get any 1 year contracts or 18 month. They are just money minded person. there are plenty of zym to join near by Revo fitness, royality fitness , no contracts, very low fees with very professional staff and lookafter their members as well.

Positive experience: Pool availability is a huge bonus. Water temperature is beyond perfect. The pool floor is a bit stained but still the best around the whole area. Exercise machines are old and definitely need replacing. Lots of space allows a more relaxed feel. Showers need fixing as most of them you cannot control temp. Sauna is a real bonus and although I haven't had food at the restaurant, it's always full of people eating there.

Negative experience: I needed to cancel my gym membership and was told that it was going to be $245 due to the length of time that I still had on my membership. This was different to what I was told when I signed up - which was that the cancelation fee was $150 at any stage. Very disappointed. That is a huge amount for a cancelation fee - borderline scam. I also agree with the other comments that the toilets are dirty. I would not recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Gym! It is always tidy and the class selection is a perfect range of fitness options. The staff have always been kind and happy to go out of their way to help the clients. They also have a lift in the facility which is a great bonus for my mother who attends with me as there is less than five gyms in Perth who make Their facility accessible for Disabled Clients.

Positive experience: it's early 2023 when i began this review just one dedicated flat bench. just one ez bar. just one pin adjustable dipping/chin up machine just one smith machine. the adjustable flat/incline benches are too high off the floor, anyone under 6 foot tall will have difficulty handling heavy dumb bells using these benches and the seat and back rest are not independent of each other. the air conditioner can't keep up on hot days. it is quite expensive. on the positive, they have recently spent some money on the place, best change was install of 8 new power racks, which opened up the gym area by moving pin loaded machines to other parts of the floor. however should of spent some money on above equipment. there's a new pilates room. there's plenty of parking. it has a 25 metre swimming pool and a cafe'. ...................................................................................................... since writing this review about 6 months ago, the smith machine that I mentioned above has been replaced with another seemingly older one, it is smoother in operation, however framing at the base of the smith machine does not allow the adjustable flat/incline benches I mentioned above, to be placed correctly under the bar in position for a seated shoulder press. need to turn bench around so you are unhooking the bar the wrong way. need a new smith machine that can properly fit adjustable seat under it. ........................................................................................................... well another 5 months has passed it's april 2024 ... they have removed some of the older equipment, there's new flat benches, incline bench, seated rear delts/pecs machine, standing calf machine, lying hamstring curl, more adjustable benches, more flat benches seated lat pulldown and leg press. air conditioning seems to be working better this past summer too! they have a cleaner doing rounds of the gym they have made an effort since i joined 2 years ago. would like to see a seated overhead triceps cable machine, we had one at the carousel goodlife gym. (now revo) also a new smith machine would be nice
Negative experience: I can only speak for morning period and the Men's facilites, have been coming here for 5 years mainly due to the location. They have had plumbing problems for years now, not once in my time here has all the male showers been working, even at teh time of writing this, only 3 out of 12 showers work properly. Issues ranging from can't get cold water (yup! not a typo), missing doors, no temp control, missing shower heads, soaps are always empty etc... The sauna is working only 50% of the time at best. There is no ventillation in the locker rooms, during the summer they barely had any air conditioning working and I had requested at least a fan be put in there or something but nothing happened. Priot to COVID, they ahd wet wipes all around the gym for wiping down, DURING COVID they took them away and replaced with spray and wipe bottles (that are handled by everyone) and paper towel dispensers which are typically empty and probaby why no one wipes down their equipment. You see they actively maintain the upolstry on the equipment but most of the machines are outdated and not even bolted to the floor and slide around. They have an empty "Arena" group area which is another example of wasted money trying to buy customers with the latest workout trends, their latest is the Reform Pilates, see how long that lasts but they did manage to up my pricing at the same time. There are alot of machines they don't have, its a very basic gym with what mostly feels like 2nd hand equipment, nothing like a locally owned gym... They shouldn't have ONE of any piece of equipment, its a VERY busy gym... They're last "BIG Renovation with new equipment" took six weeks, they tore up some carpet, moved some machines around, put up cheap plywood over existing tiles and painted them black, but they did add squat/bar racks up stairs which is a plus and put in some super scratchy floor/carpet that actually made me bleed once from connecting with my skin LOL (it was probably cheap). On positive note, the staff & trainers there are absolutely lovely, always a friendly hello as you walk in/out, they seem to be busy filling up paper towels and soaps etc when I'm there... Problems above trend from poor managment, I pay $38 a fortnight which is alot to pay for a gym that isn't 1st class and what actually feels like a 3rd world gym most of the time (Sorry, I meant "health club" LOL)... I'll keep on attending, because the location is so close to work but they could definately improve the facilities. Sorry for the essay!! :P

Negative experience: This gym has been in constant decline since Goodlife took it over. The equipment and facilities are very old and unhygienic, despite apparent "renovations" and they've removed some of the best equipment for some unknown reason. The final straw for me though, is that for many months the alarm has been going off sporadically and the noise is so piercing that it's impossible to concentrate on a workout. I've complained many, many times about it and initially I was told that it was just testing but then they admitted that it's actually faulty. It's got to a point where it's affecting 70% of my workouts so I'm quitting. When I've complained about this, the staff and management have been completely dismissive and uninterested.

Negative experience: DONT BOTHER! Gym is dirty, disgusting locker rooms. None of the equipment is maintained. Hygiene culture is absolutely atrocious - not many people wipe down equipment and it seems people are against putting their equipment back. This is the same story for the past year I’ve been intermittently coming and nothing is being done by staff.

Negative experience: Was member for over 14 months, cancellation was easy. Gave 28 days notice. My phone broke after an MVA which left me in hospital for a month 2 days later. Found through my emails that the cancellation fee had over doubled and had debt collectors harassing me over $120. Went to settle the initial payment of $60 owed after speaking to them and explaining the circumstances and they agreed for the $60. Was charged the full amount when checked the bank statement. Lack compassion and empathy but guess that happens with corporations like that.

Fantastic experience: Since starting at the gym I have felt welcomed and very supported by the staff The instructors are very professional, looking after your safety at all times. They explain exercises clearly, whilst making it a fun and enjoyable experience. The gym is clean and very bright with the lovely big windows. I would recommend the Cannington Good life gym to anyone that’s keen on feeling healthier and getting fitter
Negative experience: They are just after your money! They were not true with information given to me at the time of joining membership. The free trail thing isn't true and money was deducted as joining fee. Firstly, the marketing team or whatever it is, its so annoying, they won't stop calling even after telling them I'm not interested in their gym. Later when I decided to join, they said I can cancel at any time just give them enough notice. I asked the lady so many times about any cancellation fee or lock-in contract but nope, nothing told about any fees included. Later when I had to cancel due to personnel reason, they told me I have 12 month contract or have to pay cancellation fee!! they keep saying everything is in contract, but contract was sent to me only after I made my first payment and gave them my card details!! My payment didn't go through one week and they charged $10 more , at least could have let me know my payment didn't go before adding extra late payment fee. Just don't join this place, would never recommend to anyone.
Negative experience: When I joined they told me I could cancel my subscription anytime as long as I give them enough notice. When I wanted to cancel, they said I'm bound by my contract that I still have 10 months to go or pay a cancellation fees of more than $200! The reason I wanted out was because there was a staff I met who I felt racially uncomfortable and I was not going to take that. Please do your thorough background check before you join. In addition for the money we paying, we need better restrooms and a clean pool.

Negative experience: Old facility, rusty equipments, gym goers doesnt have hygiene ettiquette (meaning this gym isn't promoting it), toilets smelled like piss 24/7, toilet flush not working properly, half of the lockers not working, sauna looks disgusting and didnt work during my membership, VERY bad communication between reception staff and finally above all ....... rude and bad mannerred reception staff (not all but I am unlucky to have experienced with some) Yep I paid $37 a week for this, and $600+ on cancellation of contract for me and my partner (I had to get consumer affairs involved as they weren't very helpful in the beginning lol) Do not join
Negative experience: It took 6 or 7 phone calls + visits and 3 weeks of waiting for them to cancel my membership. First they said I had to cancel at a different club, then IT issues, then they didn't send my cancellation confirmation email (twice), on the 3rd time requesting, I got it. Each event with a different staff member (Beth, Alana, Shavon). These overly franchised gyms often use really sleazy sales tactics. To anyone in the area, consider going to another gym (Roar, Genesis, Revo). To anyone else who has had these or other issues, please create a report with the ACCC so they can prompt action into these business practices.
Negative experience: I transferred from this gym to another goodlife. They stopped charging me as they should but then started charging me again a couple of months later. Now they won't refund me over $1000 and closed my account at the other goodlfie saying I had to use theirs, even though I don't live anywhere near Cannington. Bunch if crooks.

Negative experience: Class les mills core disappeared without replacing the hour on weekends which I really like that class. Most people like this class on weekends because they work full time. The quality of Goodlife Cannington going down. I am thinking change another fitness club
Fantastic experience: Impressive fitness experience! One of the standout features for me is the cleanliness of the gym. It's well-maintained, and I always feel comfortable using the equipment. The locker rooms are clean and spacious, which is a big plus. The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable, making it easy to ask for advice or assistance if needed. They offer personal training sessions too, which have helped me tremendously in reaching my fitness goals.
Negative experience: The customer service at this gym is beyond abysmal. They stole my partner’s number from my emergency contact details and started calling and texting him with marketing, trying to get him to join the gym. There is no other possible way for them to have got his number. When we emailed Goodlife asking for an explanation and apology, we never heard anything back. I mentioned it again when cancelling my membership on the phone and all I got was “okay” and she moved on with the cancellation. Trying to cancel my membership has also been unnecessarily difficult. I’ve called twice to cancel, both times being told I will get sent an email that day confirming the cancellation and final payment day. Still no email confirmation. The second time I called, the person I spoke to started complaining about me calling again to other person before hanging up the phone properly! As for the gym itself, at least half the lockers in the female changing room don’t work, the female steam room hasn’t worked for 75% of my membership time, the equipment is old and machines are often out of order. At this point I don’t just not recommend Goodlife, but would actively discourage anyone from joining.
Negative experience: Dirty gym. The men’s steam room is covered with molds and kept complaining to them but done nothing. I was with them since 2014, when I left the club because I moved work and home in Albany, they still have to charge me for a month as it is their policy while processing the tenure of my membership even if they don’t have a club down south I can use.

Negative experience: Over charges exorbitant fees which will be disputed in due process Staff notes saying that they have contacted you on specific dates and Left voicemail messages or attempted to contact you , I have not received any such correspondence they shelter behind their payment platform Debit success and any billing query they advise you to speak to them instead of sorting out the query in-house
Positive experience: Good if you're wanting a reasonably cheap gym, has 24/7 access, good facilities and group classes. Not much community feel to it. PTs can be annoying. Has a creche
Fantastic experience: I am at GoodLife most days and I cannot fault anything. The trainers are all amazing and always willing to go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. Rhoda Mae is the GFM and she is so awesome. She is knowledgeable and always so positive.
Negative experience: Gym equipment atmosphere is awesome Staff reception are a nightmare to deal with not helpful at all trying to communicate with them is difficult they need to have the same attitude & be helpful like their cancelation fee is $295 is expensive only cause i moved from Vic Park to Eglinton there was no acception don't sign up with this gym try and sign up with no contract policy gym trainers there 0 ZERO for not contacting you back for your free sign up ⭐ for gym equipment 0 ZERO ⭐for the admin team
Fantastic experience: Great gym, I have been a member of this gym for over 15 years (initially Fitness First). Low membership fee, variety of classes, open 24hrs, good choice of trainers.
Negative experience: Dirty and smelly bathrooms, old equipment. EDIT: I rocked up 3 minutes late to reform Pilates that I booked after rushing to get here on time and going out of my way time and way to try it (was considering upgrading my membership). The lady wouldn’t even open the door and (didn’t even speak to me) signalled to me I was too late. Really disappointed and upset.
Positive experience: Nice gym, very spacious and clean. The tall gentleman with brown hair was especially helpful. Thank you Goodlife team.
Negative experience: Poor customer service. I requested for membership cancellation multiple times but money is still being deducted after one month. When I contacted them again by phone call from overseas, I have been asked to give another one month notice. Extremely disappointed.
Negative experience: Tried to cancel - for 6 weeks money kept coming out. Called again to cancel and they said they’d take another month of payments as I had no proof of first cancellation call. So much for loyalty. Facility is fine. Service is woeful.
Positive experience: 09/11/22 Gym is now in better shape having been revamped ---------------------------------- Poor. The upkeep of equipment is abysmal. I've been a member of Good Life (Fitness First) since 2002 and have never seen the Cannington gym in such a poor state. One will routinely find that half of the x-trainers or treadmills are out of order. The same holds true for the weight machines. The team managing this gym need to pull their finger out...
Negative experience: Place is a absolute joke from bottom to top changerooms are straight out of 1997 and in a appalling state. Equipment is in a terrible condition and should be at the museum on showcase. The leg press almost killed me while racking weights the saftey failed causing 220kg to smash into the floor. Best part about the gym was walking out the door knowing im never going back.
Negative experience: Useless customer service just keep charging money, change of club to another suburb taking more than 3 weeks and getting charged without using it. I moved 35kms away from the club I was going now can't travell there anymore but my request is still in process and money getting deducted. Can't even freeze without paying nor can cancel before paying them for 30 days. Think twice before joining there you'll get stuck in their contract and no support for customer.
Negative experience: I called them up on december 2022 to ask about the end date of my membership and ask if they can cancel it after and they said they did but turns out one of the guys there didn’t do his job properly and didn’t put the 30 day’s notice for the cancellation and now i have to keep paying them until 17/02/2023. I told them if they can make it stop paying cause i dont use the gym or even live in WA anymore but they said i still have to pay for it until the cancellation finish. I really wish I remember the guy that i talked to last December on 23/12/2022 So in summary if you want to cancel your membership they wont put in the notice and they will keep taking your money Of this is how you guys make your money i hope its worth it and god bless My suggestion for people that thinking of going to this gym is dont the equipment is not that good anyway just go to genesis in Bentley they have better equipment and way cheaper than this gym
Fantastic experience: Formally a member of Goodlife for 10 years i stayed due to the community feel and the pool even if the atmosphere wasn’t too great. then I left to Sydney fora year.. upon returning I was looking around for a new gym however Goodlife emailed me with a good deal. I signed up and didn’t realise it had been revamped. The new upgrades is a whole new vibe. After experiencing Sydney gyms i was a bit disappointed with Perth standards but this has levelled up and now I can get my healthy routine levelled up too. The music is a better level before it was too quite and made me sleepy. Now it’s vibey and gets me in the mood creating atmosphere which I need for a good sesh. I spend about 2 hours there now as everything I need is there. After I do weights I can sauna and swim and have my Brekky or lunch there too. Or just come in for a nice recovery day.
