Negative experience: Two stars for the view, no problems with the view etc., i just became pee'd off with my Pushhy being vandalised. F4 I visited this pool from Leichhhardt via my Speedwell pushbike early 1970's. Nice ride along Great Western Highway, nocked off my bike by a Nunn allighting from a Taxi at Railway Square- She was most apologetic. 2 stars because my bike was trashed while chained up outside the afforsaid Pool. Never went back after that, and stuck to Leichhardt or Ashfield pool.

Fantastic experience: This pool is quite simply a joy to swim at… lovely views across the harbour and for those less keen on swimming, it remains a great location for sunbathing!

Positive experience: Peaceful and serene pool tucked away in the middle of the park and harbour. Modern facilities and well manned. Some areas are showing noticeable wear and tear. Hope the upcoming long refurbishment (May 2024 > Sep 2025? See website for details), helps repair and polish this gem for a long time to come. Those who can’t stand the cold also need to note the ‘is it or isn’t it there’ heating of the water. Try to come on the warmest parts of the day if so (~1 - 3pm?). Salt water takes a while to get used to (my 1st time here). Thankfully there were showers and water dispensers nearby, which one could use to rinse off between laps. Also a lovely space for non-swimmers to enjoy the picturesque views, and get some sun.

Positive experience: Lovely pool, great facilities, and friendly staff, however the adult pool is very cold despite advertised as heated. I saw some people could only swim for few laps then gave up due to cold. When I went there, only children pool is heated Please advertise correctly, if it's not heated then don't write in website it's heated.

Fantastic experience: Tolles Schwimmbad direkt am botanischen Garten. Hier kann man für wenig Geld mitten in der Stadt schwimmen und relaxen. Es gibt einen großen Pool, um seine Bahnen zu ziehen und einen kleinen zum entspannen. Super nach einer anstrengenden Besichtigung.

Fantastic experience: The salt water is very refreshing. Great spot for lunch time cool off. Water temperature was perfect. Followed by lunch in the upstairs cafe and friendly service.

Positive experience: The views were amazing. So cool to be able to see the war ships up close and swim at the same time. The pool was very very salty which for me knocked the experience down to 4 stars. Very nice facilities, showers, toilets, changing room all clean and there wasn’t many people there so I got a lane to myself

Negative experience: So excited about my first visit to this pool as I walked in I realised the 50 meter pool was closed but I wasn’t gonna let that ruin my time I went to the counter and got a rude awakening by the most horrible person me telling her that I won’t be swimming I will just be supervising my 2 yr old nephew she continued to go on to tell me that I have to pay $4 so I paid then as we went to go into the elevator she said “what about that little one?” I say something across the lines of I thought you already added that into the cost any way I pay another $4 and head into the pool to see an outstanding amount of people doing laps in the TODDLER POOL I was thinking of getting a refund but I decided not to my nephew almost got pummelled by 30 people not watching where their going anyway we pack up and on the way out she had the audacity to say “are you going to pay more?” I said “why would I pay more” she then continues to say because you swam keep in mind I don’t swim I just was SUPERVISING MY NEPHEW I walk out and do not pay more

Positive experience: Great salt water pool. Usually very crowded. You'll see more people sun bathing than actually swimming though

Negative experience: Showers and toilet areas are very dirty so much that I would only go there oig I absolutely had an emergency. There is a lot of hair, rubbish, toilet paper on all the floor areas inside showers and toilet cubicles. It is very dark also which makes it harder to see the extent of uncleaniless. It is very stinky. I was appalled at the dirty conditions.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite swimming pool in sydney (outdoor) I like that they have different lanes for different speeds and swimming levels. Can be very crowded on weekends (when hot weather)kids swimming pool is heated, which is good but kids never want to leave the pool haha. Change rooms (male) will need to be renovated but otherwise nothing more to add. There is a cafe at the entrance but never had a change to try it.

Fantastic experience: Killer little spot, salt water pool. Friendly environment however, somewhat limited space. Showers, a cafe, good location.. it’s one of the nicest pools in Sydney I think for what it offers. $7 entry! Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: ABC pool- I had a lovely swim here this morning, apparently it’s one of the best public pool locations in Sydney. The outdoor 50m pool has lanes to suit every level of swimmer - slow to fast. It’s a saltwater pool so no chlorine smell which is really nice and the salt helps with buoyancy, water depth from 1.2m-2m. The 20m leisure pool has shaded and is perfect for chilling out. Tuition with VLAD is available too! The cafe is a good place to chill after some laps. Changing rooms are great - plenty of bench space and showers although a couple didn’t have shower gel/cream. I’ll definitely come here again soon.

Positive experience: A swathe of rainbow flags does not disguise the increasing levels of aggression early morning swimmers are encountering in the lanes set aside for public lap swimmers. The perpetrators are invariably not regulars and the staff are unable to control what occurs in the water so those of us who choose to continue to patronise the place do so at our own risk. Telling someone who is concussed to report the incident to staff does not resolve the problem or even the individual incident. Boy Charlton might pride itself on being "gay-friendly" but it is certainly no longer friendly per se.

Fantastic experience: Visited Oh Boy! cafe on Saturday, which has recently been very highly reviewed, and with good reason. There seems to be confusion as to whether one orders via the QR code or from the waiter and this actually needs to be sorted out so that there is ONE way to order and that is uniform across all patrons. The food menu, sensibly, is quite small and that's a very good thing, since food comes out quickly. Certainly this a cafe well worth re-visiting.

Fantastic experience: Pool is a great salt water outdoor pool. It does get busy after work. Beware: If you are driving and parking in the metered area, we advise you to take a photo of your ticket and get the e-receipt. We had been wrongly fined but luckily had taken a photo. The ticket meter doesnt print instead you link in to your number plate.

Negative experience: Nice pool, great atmosphere, etc but a very arrogant male duty manager who works late shifts. The website says the place shuts at 8pm but we were asked to get out at the pool @7.45pm and got yelled by the Duty Manager because we were 5 mins late. Recommended Suggestions: 1. Update the closing time on the website to 7.45pm 2. Recruit a civilised Duty Manager & get rid of the current one (Or maybe send him on a customer service - training course).

Positive experience: Pool and location is lovely... the Cafe is another story... the service is poor, the food overpriced and not good...$11 for a smoothie that comes out of a pre packaged bottle and not made fresh is just abit shocking, staff don't even know what's on the menu... Enjoy coffee overlooking the pool , and leave it at that.

Fantastic experience: Great pool in the CBD and reasonably priced. It’s saltwater so you won’t smell like chlorine and has a decently sized changeroom with shower facilities. Perfect place to visit especially on sunny Summer days.

Positive experience: This is a really pretty pool—right at the water’s edge, next to the botanical gardens, with great views. The water is clean and it wasn’t too busy in the mid morning. Unfortunately, the water was nauseatingly salty (this was definitely the saltiest pool I’ve ever swum in), making the swimming experience somewhat unpleasant. Great place to visit, but I’d probably choose a different pool if you’re looking for a good place to swim laps.

Fantastic experience: Excellent long course pool. The view is great and the facilities are clean. It’s a salt water pool, which is refreshing, but can be an adjustment if you’re not used to it. This pool is also popular, so be prepared to share a lane. If you’re an American, get ready to enjoy clockwise circle swimming. There is also a shallow splash pool for small kids. They also sell swimwear, googles, and some other equipment, so don’t fret if you don’t remember something.

Fantastic experience: One of the best public pool locations in Sydney and the facilities are The outdoor 50m pool has lanes to suit every level of swimmer - slow to fast. It’s a saltwater pool so no chlorine smell which is nice, water depth from 1.2m-2m. There 20m leisure pool has shading and is perfect for chilling in the 1m depth. The bleachers offer a great view of the pools and also Garden Island and the harbour. The onsite cafe is a good place to chill after some laps. Change rooms are great - plenty of bench space and showers. Casual entry is $7.40 Street parking along Mea Macquarie’s Road is $9 per hour. Busses also run alone the road and the Domain car park is a short walk away

Fantastic experience: My most favourite pool in Sydney! salt water, great views and lovely staff. The moment i enter through the doors here im instantly excited to get into the water. I love coming here at 6am when it opens and watching the sunrise. It's also super cool coming here during the day and watching the giant boats leave the harbour.

Fantastic experience: Located right next to the botanical garden this is one of the most scenic water front swimming pool in Sydney. The pool is filled with chlorinated salt water and while it is crystal clear I find it a bit harsh on the nose and tongue. Not a big deal though. Plenty of deck areas for sunbathers, including deck chairs. Scooter and bicycle parking outside the venue but car parking is expensive and sometimes in high demand. This may change but the pool is never too crowded.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic salt/sea water pool that is reasonably priced and has friendly staff. The change room/shower facilities are great as well. Perfect place to start your day in Summer.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. The staff have been brilliant through some testing times 2020/2021. The views are unbeatable. With a 20 visit pass you're paying less than 6 dollars to get in. Hot and cold showers. Plenty of parking. One on one lessons available with the brilliant coaches at Vladswim. I could go on. As of Dec 2021 the Cafe is regrettably out of business and greatly missed. Bring goggles. The water is treated sea water and can get very salty. All up, 5 stars.

Negative experience: I was a regular swimmer at the ABC pool but I won’t be returning whilst they allow unvaccinated people to enter. I don’t care if there’s group of only 2, they are still a huge risk with the contagion rate of Covid-19 Delta variant

Positive experience: Superb location, especially on a nice day. Good simple food. If you want to show off Sydney at its finest, this is a good place to start.

Positive experience: Well regulated by staff for COVID rules. Pool is in good condition and salt water is a good temperature. Can be a little crowded, before the pandemic started. The views from the pool are spectacular and include Woolloomooloo and the Naval Base on the opposite side of the bay.

Positive experience: A lovely 50m pool in a nice location, good facilities, a cafe and the price was very reasonable. The covid policy of not sitting by the pool was a bit extreme however. I understand that it is swim and leave but having been swimming lengths for an hour it would have been preferable to sit for 5 minutes to relax afterwards.

Positive experience: Beautiful saltwater pool in a picturesque location with a beautiful view of the harbor. May be one of the most beautiful pools and locations for a pool in Sydney. Perfect if you walk or take public transport, however parking is exorbitant and not friendly, with rangers roaming around regularly. Parking is $9 an hour and you have to park outside in the Royal botanic gardens.

Fantastic experience: Why isn't this pool open all year? It's picture perfect, water temp is fabulous and this isn't a city that gets particularly cold. The cafe was delicious, too
