Fantastic experience: Plenty of equipment, not too busy, friendly and helpful staff.

Positive experience: Machines need to be upgraded. But the staffs are great.

Negative experience: It’s a complete scam. When you sign up, they tell you there’s no lock-in contract. But when you try to cancel, suddenly they claim you did sign a contract — and if you don’t pay, they threaten to your credit.

Negative experience: Be careful of this gym! My partner had a membership. He went into the gym to cancel his membership. They told him it was cancelled but have kept charging us for months!

Fantastic experience: Nice view)

Negative experience: Terrible experience. The gym is poorly maintained, often smells bad, and nothing ever seems to improve. On top of that, there are hidden fees that were never clearly explained. For the same price, you can get much better service and facilities at other gym brands. Absolutely not recommended — very poor value for money.

Positive experience: newton zap fitnes, nice place to exercise after work. clean and comfy

Fantastic experience: I have been going here since it opened. It is a small gym with enough equipment for the people who come. I like how clean it is - and the friendly professional staff. Juliette is amazing & a great asset to the gym. My kids also go here & they think it’s great too. (It could do with some more fans at the cardiac areas however)

Fantastic experience: very clean gym, good place to lift weights very spacious if you have never been shown correctly how to lift highly recommend to get a professional trainer also recommend strength lab on grave st, newton for the gains ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: After being in the Philippines for nearly a year, I couldn't wait to get back to Adelaide and rejoin with ZAP. You realise how great the centre is when you go abroad. The facilities are great as are the staff. My recommendation is to join up and book in a session or 2 with the personal trainer. He will turn your life around. I have only been there for 1 session and am already reaping the rewards !!!!

Negative experience: Good gym but really only for beginners, most machines max out below 100lg and definitely need more plates for progressive overload and also lacks some important machines like lying hamstrings curls, no machine for abductors, no variety for back.

Fantastic experience: Please check the hours where staff work. I went at an unstaffed hour, and to come back later. You can’t enter without a membership key or the help of staff. The lady working there was friendly and helpful and helped me sign up. The equipment is great. I’ve read other reviews that the equipment is old and/or in the sun but I didn’t have that problem. They also have two personal trainers, and when I went Dave was on duty.

Fantastic experience: At 70 and my husband at 65 years we firmly believe that strength is a huge asset as you age. We do weights three times a week at Zap Newton. We can go at any time. Atmosphere good and excellent equipment. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: not too bad of a gym, its has a good variety of equipment, everything was in good condition, its pretty chill and not crowded most days I went. Totally opposite environment compared to derrimuts.

Fantastic experience: Love ZAP. Always has a very good atmosphere and has very friendly staff and people who go there. Everyone is respectful and keeps the place hygienic and clean 24/7

Negative experience: recently found the temperature is always quite hot and muggy in early AM. Seems like the air-conditioning is only turned On when staff are there ( I may be wrong ), but definitely needs to be cooler specially on hot days. Also sun shines rights through the windows in early AM heating up everything.

Just standing next to my friend training her, barely moving, sweat was running down my back. Gym is a decent size, with two free weights areas/sets of dumbbells, two cables, a squat machine, standing abductor, two squat racks, push sled, loads of bands and accessories, and multiples of some machines. Cardio is just right, not too much or too little, and very modern machines with nice screens. It's a lot of equipment packed into a small space so can feel somewhat cramped when it's busy, but overall good. It's clean and well maintained. Morning clientele are mainly older people (don't let that fool you, they pump some iron that's for sure!) with a few characters to boot. Just turn the damn air conditioning on!

Fantastic experience: Good value for money, good range of free weights and non free weights. If you want classes this isn't the place to sign up to, but does have a full time PT that has continuous repeat customers. All the regulars are friendly too.

Positive experience: Bit disappointing after their renovation. Went on a Sat morning. Sun comes belting in when on the bikes, need to wear sunglasses.. bit disorganised, dusty, no gym vibe..

Positive experience: Changeover from jetts to zap hasnt really been reflected on google, but Newton Zap is pretty good.

Positive experience: Out of all gyms this probably the best gym. Regret cancelling my membership. Very comfortable to work out and one of the trainers is always very friendly and makes sure everyone is happy. Would be good if it was bigger tho
