Reply to review Hi Sharnae, we apologise that you feel this way. And we fully acknowledge and appreciate your recommendation - which is why we already have these in these things place. You must have missed the message. The video you make reference to with people working out in leggings and crop tops etc is showing what’s not allowed in our gyms versus what’s allowed. We also have a copy of our dress code policy on our website. Again we understand that you may not have seen these and we also understand how confronting it must have been for you to have been told that we have a dressed code policy when it’s not something you expected. Our dress code policy goes beyond just the fact that we have children come to our gyms. It is a major point of difference for us and what sets us apart from other gyms. We are a gym for everyday people and creating an environment where these people feel comfortable to train in is why we’re in business. We’re not against people wearing what they choose to wear. But it is very important that we keep our gyms the way our target market expects them to be. Thank you for your review and for your understanding.

Hi Laura, We apologise for your uncomfortable experience at our gym. We should have made you aware of our dress code policy before allowing you onto the gym floor. I understand how shocking this may be to someone new to our gym as not many gyms would have a dress code policy. As our name suggests, we are a gym for everyday people and we have put policies in place to make it a comfortable environment for our target market. On the bright side I guess 1 star is better than no star .From our records, though you signed up, you never actually attended our gym despite multiple attempts of us contacting you to use your gym membership. Usually we contact members with a friendly and caring approach to find out how they’re doing and encourage them to use their membership. Thank you for your feedback though. We’re not perfect and we believe there’s always room for improvements.Regarding fees, all of our fees are clearly stated on our terms and conditions. Please look at the terms and conditions of your membership which would have been emailed to you and if we charged you anything that wasn’t clearly stipulated on the terms an conditions of your membership we will happily provide you a refund. If you need a copy of your contract please let us know.Thank you

And that they will take the time to read those conditions which are clearly stated on all our membership forms including our online signup platform.Though we’d like to help everyone, we really only want those who first understand WHY it is that they need a gym in the first place. Those who want it bad enough.We do our very best to clearly explain all of our terms and conditions and every little detail to people who come into the gym, unfortunately we’re not at home with people when they’re signing up online. We only trust that they are educated and will take the time to read the terms and conditions relating to what they are signing up for and make the right decision for themselves. By no means whatsoever are they under any coercion to signup at Muscle Garden. It’s strictly on a take it or leave basis.Muscle Garden is not about us. That’s why we ask - How Bad Do You Want It?! “You”.Sometimes people join Muscle Garden because they’re looking for just another another gym. On this basis, I can almost certainly guarantee that they won’t last.Everything that makes us great and sets us apart - our commitment to providing a Family orientated, friendly, supportive and welcoming environment that is free of intimidation, where you’re not just another number but greeted by your name when you walk through the door and held accountable by us calling you when you haven’t been in the gym for 2 weeks, our commitment to providing an all inclusive state of the art fitness facility at a very affordable price etc.. All of these things that we do would mean absolutely nothing to anyone if they don’t first identify WHY it is that they need a gym in the first place.When that reason is not clear and no commitment has been made to achieve that goal that’s when we get reviews like this. We understand this and that’s why even though we care a lot about our reputation and people, we know these things will happen and when they do we can only look at the bright side.We cannot break the law, we can only break ourselves against the law.
