Positive experience: The gym is very good, the machines are new and in general there are quite a few. A good point is the break room with the massagers. The pilates reformer classes are good and the teachers are very friendly, in addition to paying a lot of attention to you. On the negative side, the abductor machine was broken for a month and so on. The staff leaves a lot to be desired, the receptionists made many mistakes by charging me wrong for my membership which they could never solve so I paid weeks that did not correspond to me. In addition, I felt very uncomfortable talking to them since they got very nervous and rushed me without empathising with my English (which is not my first language).

Negative experience: Insanely expensive to have “brand new” equipment broken all the time and nothing serviced.

Negative experience: Couldn’t be more disappointed in the staff here. The gym is well designed and the equipment is often serviceable, but the “PT’s” and managerial staff have constantly dropped the ball with my account, my use of the crèche, and my membership status. Use literally any other gym in Mackay.

Negative experience: I went to Snap Fitness Mackay this morning for some information about the place and their pricing. I told the (friendly) guy behind the desk that I would stay in town for 2 months and he gave me an overview and explained the price policy to me. However - he only explained one type of available contract to me, the so called guest contract which costs $174,- per month, so $348,- for 2 months. He did not mention that they had a special offer for a regular contract for $4 per week for the first month and subsequently $100,- per month with a cancellation term of 30 days. Including the usual fee for the card this would have been $200,- for 2 months. When I made him aware of the online offer that I had read before and asked him why he had no mentioned this to me, he became quite tight lipped saying that that was what they offered people who only wanted to stay for a short time. Interesting experience. It is obvious that they are trying to allure short term customers to the more expensive contract by not mentioning the cheaper option. Shame!!

Fantastic experience: Visited this gym while travelling and was blown away by the size! I felt like a kid in a lolly shop with all the equipment available! Everything was modern and in good condition. If I lived in Mackay it would definitely be my regular gym

Not sold on Snap , still love my Jetts Gym for best equipment and value for money. +++Jets is international, you can walk into any Jetts world wide with your fob key. "BRILLIANT"

Fantastic experience: I was blown away by the this gym. The equipment is unreal, I’ve never seen such good facilities and the team behind the front desk is the best part! Specifically Milla who helped me with my card issue, it made my day to train here. I highly recommend!

Positive experience: It is a great sized gym, lots of equipment, if you go at times when there isn't too many people it is a very versatile gum which I love going to. Some of the equipment needs to be repaired and it would be nice to have someone monitor people as some rude people do not clean off their machines after they sweat all over it.

Fantastic experience: One of the best and largest snap fitness gym in Australia. I do nursing pretty much all over Australia. Loads of equipment with wise professionals and very friendly staff. I would really recommend Snap.

Positive experience: Great prices for regular membership, but beware of premium prices if you want to access the powerlifting or the crossfit room. It is also very messy with people leaving weights everywhere you go.. If you're in to a lot of different bodyweight training you will honestly find better equipment in a park... Otherwise it is huge and has everything you need and more!

Positive experience: A large gym with great welcoming staff. I visited here over the Christmas period. For non-local Snap members visiting this gym, be aware that to gain access to the wider and parts of the gym a (affordable) premium is to be paid onto your membership. This will allow you access to wider part of the gym, which includes sauna, bigger weight room and other facilities. For those of you Snap goers who aren't on the premium on a short visit, the facilities you'll have access to are still good, just some of the equipment may be weathered and you may be stricken for space during busier periods. All round, a very good gym with very friendly staff eager to assist you in achieving your fitness goals!

Negative experience: Rang to enquire if they allowed Casual Visits..& Cost. Got a Message Service on the Mobile number. So textd same. Replied..Yes they did come have a look. I textd back..Cost? No reply. So i textd back saying i didnt have time to come look without knowing cost & my original question on this was ignored & not into playing games..did they want customers? Reply..'have a nice day'. Advised ..Very strange Customer Service.. more interested in establishing negative experience than Customers. PASS !!
