Fantastic experience: Great place well manager and maintained, seems to be busy during dinner with a lot of kids. I came here for the shower 2$ per person for hot and pressured one! I would recommend if you are in need of one or traveling around

Negative experience: Often frequent with my kids, Always pay full price for entry and yet half the time the children's play feature is out of operation or half the pool is cordoned off for revamps but never has this been reflected in the price or mentioned by the receptionists.

Positive experience: Theirs some really good things, like all different size pools, the spa is gorgeous, and the staff at the Cafe especially the gentleman I cannot complain about in the slightest!! However changerooms need an upgrade, needs to be a deeper pool or even just two lanes for free swim that aren't just for laps, for adults who just want to enjoy themselves but can't do laps. There was so much sand in the spa which has me confused. Take the good with the bad !!

Fantastic experience: All around a very good experience only downside is there was a price of in the pool

Negative experience: I generally like the pool, but someone tried to steal from my backpack while it was left unattended at one of the tables (I left it closed, came back to it open). Nothing was stolen because my valuables were in a smaller pocket. But I told the receptionist about this in case they could warn the other pool goers that a thief was about, or check the security footage and discreetly ask the individual to leave. However, I was told that they know about thieves, it’s a common problem, and they only send security footage to the police if something actually gets stolen. The receptionist’s attitude was rather rude and dismissive, as if I was the problem, and that I was making her life harder by trying to help others not have their valuables stolen. I’m honestly surprised that, if the pool knows this is a common problem, they don’t have warning signs up or strictly advise patrons use the lockers.

Negative experience: Its a hugh disappointed that the pool is always in 25 mt lengths a barrier across the middle it is far more enjoyable to swim 50 mts .

Negative experience: Disappointing. Really the only place to swim laps and quite expensive to just get in and do so. Pool is filthy inside and out and the women's changing rooms is just sad. Rust on the lights and the showers look like they have been there since the place opened. Charging $3.40 for a locker is disgusting since there is no where to keep your belongings safe. Most days there aren’t enough lanes available for people to swim safely. Needs a massive upgrade and a membership program for people who swim for fitness so it’s not so expensive.

Negative experience: Change rooms, bathrooms, walkways and eating area are filthy and in a state of disrepair. Pools are lovely though. It would be an amazing place if a decent cleaning regime was in place. This is an ongoing concern for the 6 months my child has been attending.

Positive experience: Pool is in such a good spot and very kid-friendly. Spa there to enjoy some relaxation and there is lots of parking. In winter the outdoors is shut, however, inside is enough to suffice. The lifeguards take their jobs very seriously and make certain no one hurts themselves.

Fantastic experience: Magnificent pool. Choice of lanes, indoors and outdoors, nice gardens.For all those people whinging about the food….you dont go to the pool to eat hot chips….do you think Arnie got stuck into the pie and chips after a session? Eat laps…not fast food.if you want good chips…go to bridport

Positive experience: fantastic location, clean and safe. Only downside is need to be aware of the time, usually its very busy even just to do quick laps. Unannounced bookings by different school and squads left regular members with less choice to do laps.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from interstate today and my kids absolutely loved the centre! Hits included the Inflatable Ninja Challenge floating course, outdoor waterslide, diving boards, heated pool, outdoor rec pool, and of course the cafe for snacks. Hands down the staff were friendly, alert and approachable. Had a good yarn with a young lifesaver outside who was educating both myself and kids about water safety. Launceston is lucky to have such an awesome venue. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: We don't utilise this facility as often as we should. My 7yo loves it. Usually, he always sees someone from school or makes a new friend and has a great time. It is relatively cheap compared to other activities that deliver this much fun.

Negative experience: Restaurant service was horrible me and my kid waited 20 min still they ignored us. We just left after 30 min without food

Positive experience: Kids under 18 are not allowed in the premium pool

Negative experience: the water was great and fun, had fun with the obstacle course, etc but the food was HORRIBLE and so was the service took me 20 minutes ti finally get my food and it was coated in salt, my chips were somehow cold…

Fantastic experience: Fun, lots of good memories here

Positive experience: Good clean facilities. Can get busy at times, particularly during the day with school groups. Our kids love the outdoor pool and water slide during the late summer months. Swim school has been great, lovely staff, and a nice discount for swim gear at the shop.

Negative experience: The Hydrotherapy pool was so cold.They seem to be having a lot of trouble lately with the heating of these premium area Which we pay for.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities for all ages and levels of swimming.

Positive experience: Pools and temperatures are fine. Change room floors at premium pool are often dirty. People are supposed to clean the floors with provided tools but more often than not the floors have black (wet dust etc) yukky stuff and talcum powder all over it which make using the showers something to avoid and get out asap. The facilities are getting old, cracks in tiles especially at the premium warmer spa-like pool, and gaps are larger and blacker overtime. Rust on all stainless steel. Big spa is fantastic! Big renovation is needed to enhance the leisure/swim experience especially where I see it most in the premium part of the facility. Children's play equipment is also showing signs of date and might need replacement.

Negative experience: My kids love this place however we recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks as the cafe/kiosk there is so expensive for so little that you get, place is nice however could do with regular cleaning and some of the life guards we found were very rude to some children up there especially the younger life guards and an older ladie with short hair I mean it's not hard to say please and thankyou to children while telling them they have to go down feet first only down the inside slide.

Fantastic experience: The hometown pool of Titmus - the Olympic champion. Great coaches and near Olympic standard pools! So happy to send my son here

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed the time here. The water slide is super cool and the water play area works very well.

Positive experience: Reasonably clean changeroom facilities. Friendly staff. But poor public access for lap swimming. As a visitor to Launceston, the choices for indoor lap are very limited; with the 50m pool divided into 25m with most of the lanes given to squad, learn to swim and other bookings. It’s a madhouse indoors! The only real choice for lap swimming is the outdoor 25m pool; which is actually a very nice pool for laps if not too busy. After 5.30pm/6pm is a good time.

Positive experience: The aquatic centre is amazing and the swim school staff are brilliant. Downside is definitely the parking. It's so hard trying to find a spot at the best if times, let alone during swim school times and this needs to be addressed by the council ASAP. It would be better if the bigger kids had a another waterpark area inside, as the existing waterpark is designed for little kids and is quite often inundated with bigger kids.

Negative experience: The chips my friend and I ordered didn’t have the right salt that was asked for…. Not very happy took there 15 minutes to get some chips they were cold and overpriced and the worker gave us a smug look… don’t recommend coming here

Positive experience: Previously I had written a negative review after reading a couple of articles, about the aquatic Centre, I've since changed it. Apart from the food maybe being overpriced, this is a lovely place to go for a swim, with two indoor pools and one outdoor with a waterslide, it's a nice place to spend some time.

Fantastic experience: This is our all time family leisure point, we can't get enough of how incredibly entertaining this place is. Definitely recommend families and there children

Negative experience: I have alot to say, so I will try to summarise. First, the cafe is wayy to overpriced. it was $7 for a small container of watermelon, no larger than a small snack bowl. shoulve been $4 at most. Another thing with the cafe, the menu said it was $3.50 for a coffee. I ordered one, and they tried to charge me $5.50. i thought i mist of ordered the wromg thing, so i told them the menu said the coffee was 3.50. they instead charged me 4.50. i didnt know what to do in this situation as im only 13, so i just paid them and left. Now onto the pool. The lifeguards seemed to not care what was happening. people were trying to drown eachother (this was a school trip, all children) but the lifeguards just stared without care. the lifeguard at the slide didnt wait for the kids to reach the end of the slide before sending the next kid off, so i nearly had another kid fly into my back. also the slides arent built well. they should send you down with a mat or something, because the bumps on the slide covered my legs and shoulderblades with red marks, and a few bruises. ive been here many times with my school, and everytime it has been bad. please try and fix these, at least the staff/lifeguards. dont recommend. go to George town pool instead edit: i was one angry kid oml why did i write this. still stand by alot of it but i did not need to be so angry

Fantastic experience: Fun spot to take the kids swimming, do laps or go to the gym. Kids birthdays can be spent here with the BBQs and the water slides a family favourite. Helpful happy staff!

Negative experience: Absolute pathetic there today took my kids for a swim, once was knocked over my older kids and hit head on wall they did nothing. Then refused service at counter for not having a mask even though I have a exception.

Negative experience: First time I've been to Launceston Aquatic having spent many years frequently using the old Launceston Swim Centre. I was terribly disappointed. Every pool was overrun by programmes and I get that this is important and bread and butter for the centre but there just wasn't a good spot to swim leisurely or practice odds and ends, not to mention how overwhelming the chlorine was! I was overwhelmed from the moment I set foot inside and this wasn't helped by the heating at the centre. Also the lifeguards are not as strict as they once were. Twice a family encouraged their older daughter to "bomb" into the pool beside us. She did this only metres away from the lifeguard who said nothing. The layout of the centre is nice I guess and the inclusion of the kids play area and gym are a nice touch. The waterslide is nowhere near as nice as the previous one, with no splash pool at the end, just what looks like a large bath (I know that's the norm these days) The changerooms were really lacking if you would have liked a bit of privacy. I changed in a shower cubicle because I'm modest. The kiosk/cafe looks ok (I didn't use it) and the seating is more than adequate all around the centre. Overall I was disappointed but I guess that's what an aquatic centre is these days.

Positive experience: Would love to be able to get into the heated pool program slow one. Have bought membership phone two hours before and can't get in. Couldn't get in before because not a member, now a .ember can't get in. I need this service due to having to improve strength in back and knee

Positive experience: Learn to swim school here is great, however the facilities are average. The water playground in the leisure pool has not worked in months, the change rooms are usually smelly and are often dirty and/or broken by careless patrons.

Positive experience: Excellent facilities. Maximum 90 minutes parking is ridiculous. I wanted to stay a lot longer. 5 stars for the centre. No stars for parking restrictions.

Negative experience: Its not bad but I feel it already needs an overhaul, needs more play parks/water slides for kids to use. The waterslide is tiny compared to the old one. The overall feel of the place feels cramped compared to the old design. Great memories as a kid in summer playing in the long creek and old waterslide, now gone forever.

Fantastic experience: When the inflatable obstacle course is running the kids could keep at it all day, very active, well occupied, even in winter. Views from this eyrie location are down over the city and river, fabulous. Silos draw the eye to the other great active venue if Riverbend park.

Positive experience: No seating on grassed area, for older people unable to get down on the grass, had to stand at a club function for 2 hours. If I'd realised would have taken a chair.

Positive experience: Not too busy, BBQ and picnic area was clean and tidy, kids had a great time, admission was cheap and so was slide tickets. 8 slides for $6 kids didn't want to leave. Spent the whole time outside where it was a bit quieter
