Fitness First Barangaroo Titanium

Negative experience: I don’t normally bother with reviews, but Fitness First Barangaroo’s appalling lack of care for its members deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. They lure you in with a fake friendly vibe, then forget you exist the moment you sign up. I was promised an access card for their “24-hour gym” weeks ago—it never arrived. Despite never being able to use the facilities, I’ve still been charged this entire time. Any attempt to follow up has been met with indifference and excuses, making it one of the most disappointing, impersonal, and downright neglectful gym experiences I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Virgin Active, for example, actually values and engages with its members. Save your money, your time, and your sanity by avoiding Fitness First Barangaroo at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Fitness First Barangaroo Titanium is such a great place to workout, the facilities are great and it's so close to my place of work (Barangaroo), the convenience is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, super friendly and helpful. The gym is clean, spacious and my favourite to go to. Makes working from the office feel like a treat!

Negative experience: They keep harrassing me after I cancelled my membership more than a year ago. Literally spoke to them a few days ago and they are calling again...

Negative experience: They do not refund payments for PT when you close a membership with them. Titanium owes me $49. I joined the club and closed the membership within a week. Paid for PT when I joined it and was promised the PT manager contacts me within a week to arrange a session. I kept an eye on my phone and waited for them to get in touch but no-one did. I attended the gym for that week and came to a conclusion that the gym does not fit my needs and cancelled the membership. Now, Titanium gym refuses to refund the payment for PT which does not go in line with their Cancellation / Termination policy: “All monies paid will be refunded with the exception of a reasonable administration fee which shall be payable by you if your membership card and/or 24.7 access pass or any other merchandise you received on joining are not returned within seven (7) days of termination of your Agreement.” I tried to contact Titanium gym to see if they follow some other policy but they ignore my messages. https://www.fitnessfirst.com.au/terms-and-conditions/

Negative experience: I've sent 3 emails to sign up for a membership at this club and haven't received a single response. Clearly they're too exclusive to sign up new paying members, wondering if their facilities are a poor as their sales/customer service.

Negative experience: Great PT staff, good equipment but filthy, smelly showers. Lots of complaints over many months but nothing has been done.

Fantastic experience: Clean, new, very good equipment. Good friendly staff. Good facility for solid work.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff, shout out to the front desk guy who is always friendly and Gym manager Keiley. Mike Nolan is a great PT and knows his stuff would recommend. Some of the equipment like the ab bench could be better as the feet holders are not long enough, besides that, great convenient location, which is perfect for me.

Negative experience: Nothing special and lacking of equipments …..and more expensive that a standard fitness first …..no thanks….

Negative experience: Very average, dnt expect much equipments in there. According to them they are titanium based on their location and all you can see is just a building that blocked every single view and there is nothing special about them. Sorry if im honest

Negative experience: Took 3 in person visits and an email to try to cancel my membership. Long past the waiting period and I’m still being billed. Was told by multiple staff I’d receive confirmation email - never occurred. Poor admin team.

Positive experience: Quite a small gym for the price however well situated. Staff always friendly and welcoming.

Negative experience: The gym air condition is turn OFF during the weekend - why would weekend gym goers deserve less than weekdays gym goers ? I thought a titanium gym hold the highest facilities service & quality !

Positive experience: Positives - Really great staff, good range of equipment and a decent space. Negatives - weights, mats and other equipment left around almost constantly. It's hard to know if people are still using things because there is stuff left around on the floor next to machines and in the squat rack area. Would be good if people could rack their weights, or make it more obvious that things are still in use instead of walking away and leaving it for someone else to deal with. Makes for a rather underwhelming experience, and considering the price, I definitely would expect an uncluttered and safe area.

Negative experience: Was disappointed with my experience. It was ok to start with. One of their personal trainers took an upfront payment from me. Unfortunately he was not responsive. It takes more than a week to receive responses. After all that he refused to refund my payment. This is after trying to arrange training with him for weeks. Escalated it to the management with a full detailed chronology of events. Apparently they’ve addressed it to him firmly. Sadly I have to make multiple calls leaving multiple messages before their management responded.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to Matt that works at reception at Fitness First Barangaroo. I’ve been a life Member at Fitness First & ever since I can remember their front desk staff NEVER welcome their members or say goodbye it’s absolutely poor across all their locations NSW wide considering the fee’s we pay. Matt however for the past 2 years never fails to say hello & goodbye with an absolute smile!!! The only person I’ve ever experienced in my history as a member with Fitness First that actually fills his job role. Matt deserves to be recognised for his out standing customer service with recognition from the company awards, pay-rise or bonus. Keep up the good work Matt, the other staff across the state need to take note of your exceptional customer service skills & I hope you a recognised from this post.

Fantastic experience: I just joined FitnessFirst Barangaroo, and everything from onboarding me as a member to using the gym facility has been nothing short of outstanding. Tom and his team have everything covered, I felt completely looked after, everything was handled with my needs in mind and the gym itself is heavenly for anyone wanting the best equipment and environment available (truly). Thanks again Tom, I’m still smiling :)

Negative experience: They let all the people join the titanium for free at Barangaroo after they shut Shelley Street. They are here for the same price so basically they ruined the whole place. Full of men. Not fair on those paying titanium or black label.

Fantastic experience: Great place

Negative experience: Had one yoga class here in 2019. The teacher didn’t demonstrate any pose. It feels like she learned those lines the night before, all she need to do is to read it out. Hope it has been improved. I like the machine for checking body fat. Nice touch.

Fantastic experience: Barangaroo has some group class which other FF does not. Needless to say the super quality amenities here.

Negative experience: I have been a member for one year. In all honesty, there is nothing "special" about Fitness First Barangaroo. It's reliability small with not a lot of selection on the weights and cardio section, along with no extra club benefits. With $120FN you can get memberships with other gyms that provide a lot of benefits. Being a black label member, I did receive complimentary towels. However, the towels were always dirty with stains on them. The bathroom showers are not clean. It's a convenient gym if you work around Barangaroo, but not worth the money. However, the staff and management are very friendly and always give great advice to help members achieve their desired body results.

Fantastic experience: Really nice staff. The gym isn't an upgrade over the other platinum ones but it's really convenient.

Positive experience: it's great value for what you get considering you can use the gym and have unlimited access to Barre, Yoga and Pilates classes with another studio. The gym itself is nothing special though - considering the price you pay, they don't even offer complimentary towels. Gym space is quite small and cramped together.

Negative experience: Black Label member in Germany. The gym wouldn't allow me to train despite having all the necessary paperwork. On glance, nothing amazing about the gym despite being a "titanium" level.

Negative experience: Nothing special about this gym. Being a Titanium I was expecting it to be huge and a level above the Platinums. The gym was too small particularly around the weights and machines area and not spacious enough, and the music was quite soft and depressing. A note to members - when one lifts heavy dumbbells, show some respect and stay clear of the person for a few moments. A very disappointing experience i'm afraid. Sincerely hope my review is noted and the place is seriously upgraded.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, spacious, immaculate. Lots of racks, tons of room. Premium club with all the bells and whistles.

Positive experience: Good facilities and classes. Staff is helpful. A little pricey though works well for me as it's close to the workplace. Lockers can get annoying though, sometimes they wouldn't open or close easily.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic space, brand new equipment and great staff. It is a little pricier than usual, but if you work in or near Barangaroo it's worth the extra cost for the convenience. If looking for a PT ask for Daniel, he's excellent. I've lost 7kg of fat and put on 3kg of muscle in 4 weeks working with him. Excellent training and conditioning.

Positive experience: Great gym, stunningly expensive. If you're looking to become a Fitness First member there's a Platinum level gym just a few minutes walk away on Shelley Street that's a cheaper option. Given the facilities here the extra expense is not justified.

Negative experience: Nothing special, not even spa facilities. What's titanium about this gym is that it's new. Meh. Disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Awesome ! State of the art equipment, very friendly staff and environment, only 7mins walk from Wynyard Station

Negative experience: Not much choice of cardio machines, too pricey for what it provides
