Positive experience: Cooling woefully inadequate in Summer. Please extend Saturday hours to 4pm. Lockable lockers would be a bonus.

Positive experience: I understand it is a university gym but the operating hours are abysmal (it is also open to public) It closes at 2pm on a Saturday smh It gets insanely packed at peak hours. With the weekly cost at such a price point, I expect it to be open on public holidays. A bit disappointing

Negative experience: I've been frustrated with them when booking the courts. They canceled my booking that I made 1 week in advance because of some sudden uni event. I had 12 people coming over for the booking. Absolutely unprofessional

Positive experience: The space in nice, staff friendly, not too much equipment choices, especially if you come during the peak hours. The working times during the weekend are disappointing. And the gym is not open during the public holidays. It’s a shame as it would definitely bring a lot of people in. Sometimes the cleanliness of a common/ stretch area is not up to the standard which for a gym and that amount of visitors is not healthy to say the least.

Fantastic experience: Great Fitness Centre. Ambience is also good. Fitness Equipments are top notch. Really loved the vibe there.

Positive experience: Great equipment (uses Technogym), but at certain times (4-7pm especially) the gym is so packed that sometimes you can’t even use a treadmill. The classes that are run here are amazing and inclusive to all fitness levels. Unfortunately the gym is only open for short hours on weekends, but it makes sense as it is on the university.

Positive experience: Really good and convenient if you are living in the Res.

This gym truly lives up to its name by offering a comprehensive fitness haven that satisfies a variety of fitness objectives. You are welcomed by a tidy and contemporary environment as soon as you enter, which immediately sets the mood for an excellent workout session. You'll never have to wait to use your prefered machine or weights thanks to the excellent, well-maintained, and ample equipment. The outstanding staff distinguishes Deakin Active . Along with being extremely knowledgeable, the trainers are also very approachable and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: A good gym, the staff is friendly and really helpful. The trainers are good and are easy to approach.

Fantastic experience: Good gym with great trainers and staff. Health consultations and group classes are included in the membership which is awesome. Convenient as a student to get active on campus.

Positive experience: It's a small gym and not 24-7. However, it is clean. Everyone is friendly and staff are great.

Positive experience: Over crowded, too small, old equipment and not enough weights.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t allow me to extend the program I bought and hadn’t had a chance to use and wouldn’t allow me to get a refund despite me having already paid $159. As a new member who was unfamiliar with how the memberships work I found it very disappointing that they were unwilling to be accomodating to me.

Negative experience: Way too busy. Can never access the equipment you want. Full of entitled A-holes who leave their stuff on equipment so nobody else can use it. Hours are awful Toilets/showers are disgusting Went here for 3 years bc it's cheaper. Do not regret leaving one bit.

Fantastic experience: Good place for Deakin students to engage in exercise here. I feel excited every time working out there. p.s. There is a thin barbell which is super friendly for small-hand guy (like me) to do deadlifts.

Fantastic experience: first gym i ever joined and was super anxious but the entire team was so welcoming and helped me so much, PTs are extremely supportive and are always willing to help and receps are very friendly :D loved the environment so much it became my home within two weeks of signing up

Negative experience: Worst gym I've ever been to, and when you realise it is gym for students it's very sad. Stupid rules (cannot train without shoes...), Instant fee when your automatic credit card transaction fails, even though you pay it right after... Shame
