Fantastic experience: I’ve been a regular member of Anytime Fitness Lara for over two years and have had an excellent experience. The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, with friendly patrons and a supportive atmosphere. The manager is professional and approachable, ensuring a positive environment for all members. Upgrading the treadmills to the latest models would be a great addition to the already excellent facilities. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey.

The relaxed, friendly and laid back environment of staff and members make it a pleasure to visit on a regular basis. Negative experience: Rude staff, only anytime fitness I’ve been to as a driver in all of Melbourne where I’ve had to come to this page and write a review after years of visiting AFs all Over melb . Never have had a bad experience at any except this gym, has really let the AF great culture down here.

PT Shaye’s expert knowledge has helped me build personalised workouts tailored to my needs, abilities and allowing for any pre-existing injuries. Best of all Beth and Shaye ensure Anytime Fitness Lara is a safe, inclusive and respectful environment where everyone is welcome and encouraged.

Positive experience: I dont personally know what the gym is like, but I can tell you that my mailbox has 'NO JUMK MAIL' listed on it but yesterday 20.8.24, what do I find in my mailbox? An Anytime fitness ad, nothing else, just a paper ad from this place. It is illegal to post ads in a mailbox with no junkmail posted on it. Please see to it that ads are not put in these boxes, none of them that do not want junk mail. I know you're there, if I want to come to the gym an ad won't prompt me to or not. Just please make sure the ads stay out of my mailbox. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: the gyms amazing, clean

Fantastic experience: AMAZING GYM! The most clean and robust gym in Lara. Gym has 3 large showers. A huge selection of free hand weights and machines. Classes are available aswell are qualified PTs for group classes and one on one sessions. They also have a cleaner that cleans all equipment and toilets. Drfinately reccomend.

Fantastic experience: Have been frequenting this gym for about a year now. I am no spring chicken, in my 70’s, and feel quite comfortable and at ease. The gym is kept very clean and there is plenty of weights and equipment to keep you striving for the perfect bod. I suppose being retired and not going at peak times, I do not find I have to compete with available machines. Last but not least, Bethany, the manager, welcomes you with a lovely smile and is there to assist you.

Negative experience: Grace the manager at this site is very rude and confrontational. I went in to clear up excessive charges on my account. Threatened to call police on me for no reason, as expected never did as it’s all made up allegations and assumptions, trying to make me avoid following up with the excessive charges. Their response “you signed up with old gym owner Jason, we are new management and can’t follow up on past incidents” Very poor way to treat teenager, won’t be doing direct debit again. Was pressured by old owners to sign contracts in first place.

Negative experience: I joined Anytime Fitness Lara August last year. After 6 months of my membership, my personal circumstances changed drastically. I was hard hit by the high interest rate and inflation. Financially I was struggling so much that it was almost impossible for me to continue the Gym membership. Initially I joined the gym to lose my extra body fat but with the sudden economical changes, I needed to do the other way around . March this year, I talked with the manager and requested to cancel my membership due to the financial difficulties or freeze my membership for longer time. she asked me to pay half of the amount of my total 18 months contract period. Then I reached out to the Group manager who basically referred back to the manager saying that he didn’t have enough authority to wave my cancellation fee. So the manager froze my account for 3 months to see if my financial situation improves. After 3 months, they started to debit $18 every week. At the beginning of September , once again, I requested the manager to cancel my membership, she, as usual, asked me to pay half of my remaining contracted membership which is $473.I tried to convince her to pay $300 in one transaction but she refused to do so. Once again, I contacted the group manager with my request. This time he was kind enough to agree and asked the franchisee to cancel my membership for $300. I understand that I signed a contract and they had all rights to force me to abide by. However, I find their action was un-Australian, lacking empathy and mateship. Who would know that a economic crisis was just on the horizon when signing a gym membership and who would read all the clauses in the contract. Anytime fitness is big company with good reputation and customer base, I am unable to grasp how there is no way to cancel the membership even if you are in a dire situation. A piece of advice for anytime fitness’s policy makers- a robot would be better suited than a human manager.

Fantastic experience: Clean and well maintained gym. The facilities are quite new which is an added bonus. It’s usually not too busy so you can use the equipment you need. It is on the smaller side but I don’t mind. Staff are really friendly and run regular classes that are open to all abilities and very inclusive. Members are usually considerate and well behaved. Lockers are available for everyone to keep belongings safe.

Negative experience: Been a member here for so many years, was told my membership was going to be cancelled because I was accused of staring at people. These guys have let the Anytime Fitness name down. Cannot believe how demeaning staff talk to people.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocked. The staff here discriminate against certain members and demeaningly accuse members of false accusations. Management here has seriously let down the Anytime fitness branch in lara. Very disappointing. Will be reporting this to higher management and possibly an ombudsmen.

Positive experience: ATL is a smaller franchise than some of their other gyms but has all that you need for strength and cardio. The gym staff are both helpful and friendly maintaining a good atmosphere and hygiene throughout the gym. They are also blessed with ample parking.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Lara Anytime, the personal trainer Jason, is terrible at his job and has poor manners. I would not recommend Lara Anytime Fitness.
