Negative experience: I’ve been a member at Core24 Carrum Downs, and my experience has been very disappointing. 1️⃣ Cleanliness Issues – The gym is not well-maintained, and basic hygiene standards are lacking. The steam room is extremely grimy, with members going in wearing shoes and used gym clothes. There is a notice inside the room instructing members to use a hose to rinse the seats, but there is no hose provided, making it impossible to clean. 2️⃣ Poor Rule Enforcement – Staff do not implement gym rules, making the environment frustrating for members who expect a clean and orderly facility. 3️⃣ Unhelpful Customer Service – The staff are unfriendly, unprofessional, and unwilling to address concerns. When I raised the issue of the missing hose, nothing was done to fix it. 4️⃣ Unfair Fees – The gym charges a dishonour fee if your payment fails due to insufficient funds. However, I was charged twice on the same day ($8.50 each time), and even after making the payment on the same day, these fees were not refunded. I come to the gym to clear my head and have a peaceful workout, but instead, I’ve had a frustrating experience due to lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, and unfair fees. I do not recommend this gym unless they make serious improvements. To further prove my point, they don't even acknowledge or respond to these comments members have made.

Fantastic experience: This review is specifically for Rachel G's reformer classes at both Frankston and Carrum Downs. Rachel is consistently professional, helpful and friendly, and she's always quick to help newbies or anyone struggling as soon as they put their hand up. As a complete beginner with low-level fitness, I initially found her classes pretty challenging. After getting over the mental hurdle of the first couple of sessions, and really giving the other options a go, I've realised how brilliant her classes are. The movements/sequences are so well-planned, inclusive/suitable for all levels (remembering to ask if you need help), controlled and well-paced. They are challenging in the best way, and after coming to her classes consistently I've noticed physical improvements in my strength and balance. It's the only low-impact workout I've experienced where I actually feel like I've moved the intended muscle groups. Plus, she has a brilliant playlist. I've ended up changing my work schedule so that I can make more of her classes. She's a real asset to the Core24 team.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Core24 Health and Fitness in Carrum Downs, and have been impressed with the experience so far. From my initial online enquiry to the tour and sign-up, the process was seamless and hassle-free. The staff were friendly, making everything really easy and convenient. I’ve already booked three classes and attended sessions at both the Carrum Downs and Frankston locations – both facilities are fantastic but Frankston does have more to offer! What really sets Core24 apart is the value for money - the membership includes Reformer Pilates classes, which is a huge bonus, and I’m keen to try the other group classes on offer. Highly recommend for anyone who is needing motivation and variety!

Negative experience: not the best gym here they advertise no lock in contract but when you ring to cancel your membership get told you cant . plus none of the other member whip down equipment after uses no one put they weights away after uses , i have seen smaller gym with better weights and equipment .

Negative experience: Weights always left on machines. Members made me uncomfortable while working out, one I reported to staff and nothing was done about it. I was told he does that with all the girls and multiple people have also complained. Wouldn’t recommend lol

Fantastic experience: I started at core 24 over a year ago. 1 am 42 and only just starting my gym journey. I took up pole dancing through core and am able to go to a variety of different classes that makes my journey fun and exciting.The staff are helpful and very friendly. I look forward to spending many more years at core learning, growing and having fun.

Positive experience: I am a long time member of Core Health Club. I attend the Frankston Club 3-4 times a week. Core has an extensive range of equipment & facilities. I use the free weights & the heavy bags etc. in the cross training studio, the running treadmills & bikes in the cardio room & the infrared sauna, salt room & pool. there's pretty much everything you need for fitness, strength & conditioning training & general well being. If equipment falls into dis-repair or becomes outdated, management makes every effort to maintain, repair or update it. I don't need to go anywhere else to fulfill my fitness & wellbeing requirements.

Negative experience: The classes are good but good luck if you ever have issues with a membership. The managers absolutely do not care they fob you off to other people to email and you do all the work while paying exorbitant fees.

Negative experience: The gym is a dump. The owner is a Bully only cares about his wallet and not members experience doesn't care about his staff either. . They are to cheap to hire cleaners forcing staff to do cleaning when they are not trained cleaners. They will hit you with a $10 service fee every 3 months for up keep of the gym. Nothing changes. The equipment is old, out dated and rusted. The Staff are never the same because of High turn over. Go sign else where.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Have $50 voucher for a trial of 1 month only. They want me to take 1 year contract which is not what I want. When my husband buy the voucher they told 1 month is turned to be a lie. Ripped of from the money and not the best customer service. Very disappointing and frustrating. Waisting two days of my time to try to figure out something and not helping me with anything. Worst service ever. Never again with them.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym ,cleaning is poor !!!!

Negative experience: Equipment needs repairs. Dumbbells loose. Barbell ends loose. Broken glass left on floor for days. Maintenance man or cleaner whatever his roll is, (only seen him 9pm onwards) was spray painting above my head and couldn't see any issues with fumes or over spray. He seems to harrase female's to the point they walk away from what they were doing. They even thank you when someone gets close so he walks off. If he shows up wanted on crime stoppers i wouldn't be suprised one bit. Strongly avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: I have been a member at Core in Carrum Downs for 6 years now and stayed because of convenience . Now suddenly being charged a 'Service fee' this year. I have been told by 3 different workers that the service fee was in the contract since i signed up. Then when i asked the staff member to please check she even stated that i was correct and it hadn't been. To be charged an added fee with no signature is so wrong and not to mention the cleanliness of Carrum downs centre is so poor lately and half the equipment that has service tags on them haven't been fixed since the start of the year. Extremely disappointed with the service and to be charged an added fee is ridiculous. A lot better gyms around the Peninsula.

Fantastic experience: Back open after the long lockdown. Facilities as good as ever.

Negative experience: The gym charge an extra fee for "covid cleaning" which I thought was fair enough but I havnt seen anyone doing extra cleaning also they have equipment that hasn't been fixed for months. I thought the extra fee was fair enough until I realised my usual fees aren't even getting utilised to keep equipment working. Just an excuse to increase fees I think

Negative experience: I'd been a member of Core Gyms since 2016. I I have never found the staff to be particularly friendly. Recently after lockdown at the Carrum downs gym I was told I could not enter the gym unless I scanned a QR code. My phone is not able to do this so I offered to sign in another way and was denied this option. Another lady was sent away for the same reason. After 5 years I'll go else where.

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly and professional, facilities are spotless and constantly cleaned. Equipment is well maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. Love going there!!

Negative experience: What a horrendous gym! I have been a member of a number of gyms over the years and am a qualified PT. The staff are rude and personal trainers are dull and lack any sort of knowledge and enthusiasm towards exercise and running classes. They don’t model exercises or even have the basic understanding. Classes contain people with poor technique and no trainers even help to correct it. Not to mention the reception staff who barely acknowledge you. The gym is dirty and treadmills need better maintainable and general basic cleaning. One of the managers even abused us for parking in a spot next to the staff parking which was not staff. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Their after hours access finger print barely works and often doesn’t let me get in even after registering several fingers. I often leave frustrated and annoyed. I will be terminating my contract as soon as my 12 months is up.

Fantastic experience: My fav Core24 to train at! Nice open space weights room, isn't too busy, nice new treadmills and stairmasters and a big ladies only area. Staff are friendly and always up for a chat!

Positive experience: Has good equipment. Only prefer here over iGym due to iGym lack of certain machines. Downside to this gym is it’s not clean

Negative experience: In all the years I've being going to the gym and worked in the industry have I been disappointed in a facility. I went in to trail the gym. Was taken on a bs sales pitch only to be told I had to actually join before I can trial I was given very little help and on the tour was cheapened on what the gym has to offer and only shown the weights area. The sad thing is I useto work for the company and not only was I insulted by the staff I've been ignored by the owner. Be very careful I believe this gym is more concerned on the botham line than they are the people.... I'm most definitely not the only person that feels this way... Remember my fitness needs come before your bs stereo type and your bottom line. I never complain about facilities trying to do there best...but I've been spoken at 2/3 locations . U have a great gym model. Just lift your game...

Negative experience: I like the gym and what they have to offer. But the maintenance of the equipment is poorly. Especially the treadmills. Cleaning is also missing out. If they get those things fixed, then I'll give it 2 more stars.

Fantastic experience: I dont usually get excited when i go to the gym but this time i just cant contain myself. From the minute i walked into core fitness at frankston south i though, hey this gym isnt too bad. It is quiet, close to home and has basically everything you need! But i have been to alot of gyms in the past and my expectations are pretty high. Frankston south has plenty of cardio equipment, enough machines to cover MOST muscle groups, a little short on weight plates.... ( if the owner reads this, no offence mate, ill make up for the diss....) the showers and overall facilites there are GREAT. I have been to the training ground in rosebud, anytime fittnes, empire fittness, and iron kingdom even QLD gyms before discovering core 24 facilities and i have to say im gob smacked !!! :/ After i paid an extra 2 dollars a week i then realised i had access to other 24 core gyms around town! After frankston south i then discovered the behemoth which is frankston.... WOW. omg, finally a gym that i cannot fault... It is absolutely Amazing. Move over anytime fittness, who are you?, and any other gyms out there need a lesson on how to facilitate the health and fitness premises. Sorry Iron Kingdom. I will never step foot in your gym.again. i would like a shower!!! Bruno? Lets not go there. OH MY FU#&ING GOD. frankston core has absolutely everything you could ever imagine including christmas and birthdays all at once! It has a MASSIVE cardio room in the front door, womans retreat to the left, massive weights room with fantastic equipment for body building which is very well ser out,everything for your general fitness. Loads of weight plates... its the bomb in there There is a high altitude room, god damn heated Swimming pool with spa, Sauna, steam rooms, salt room, health and wellness area, fu#@ing massage chairs for christs sake! This place is a freaking luxurious get away for gym junkies and it just makes me too bloody happy to know i need to look no further for a quality 24 hr gym. This is the best. I cannot commend the owner highly enough and this business is by far the best in the business. I am very picky although there are smith machines and a calf raise / squat machine. There is no seated calf raise or standing dedicated calf raise or glute machines. Im sure if this is bought up it will be addressed as it will leave the gym faultless and utterly AMAZING. the next thing i did was go and check out the new facilities in carrum downs. Im not gonna lie, i only wanted to see if this gym had a seated calf raise machine and if it did i was going to head 4 mins down the rd to carrum downs and do legs on leg night. I walked into this place last night and i nearly packed my dacks!!! Omg. Its not ad big as frankston but this place is BRAND NEW and Absolutely amazing. It is packed full of brand new machines to cater for all muscle groups, i couldnt believe my eues when i walked in.! There over in the corner was a BRAND NEW SEATED calf raise coupled with a brand new standing calf raise machine both the highest quality available!!!!!! I was like a kid in the candy store. It was my day off and i found myself testing out half the new machines because i was so excited about the fact that this place and this business caters for ALL OF YOUR NEEDS!!!!! At carrum downs i was sold the minute i got off the freeway and was there in a flash and i couldnt believe how easy it was to pull out of the drive way, cross the rd and jump straight back onto peninsula link. Sorry iron kingdom. I will never pull out of your building and do the most annoying u turn ever!!!!! Hello core 24. You have my business, my loyalty and anyone i meet for the rest of my journey. Look no further guys. Core 24 is your one stop shop for 1 hell of a healthy life.

Positive experience: Core 24 is a good gym i would like to see the equipment cleaned by the staff the treadmills have sweat and lots of dust the free weight room i suggest staff always have the weights on the rack in the morning/ evening instead of looking for them everywhere which is annoying. The function room is messy at times no seems to put things back where thay belong and maybe get some new equipment which would be great.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, very large exercising areas. Lots of cardio equipment, weight machines and a sizable free weights area. This gym is not full of flogs either which is excellent. The staff here are very welcoming which makes you feel welcome. Large change room with showers and a steam room with lockers.

Negative experience: I signed up to a 12 month contract with Core 24 on April 4th 2017. I had to move areas to the other side of the city in October 2017 and asked a staff member at Core 24 Carrum Downs whether or not I would be able to transfer my Gym membership to another person. The answer was a clear "no" which is strange as most gyms offer this option at a fee. I called back numerous times only to get nowhere and have finally called through today - March 7th 2018 - to ask if I can terminate my contract early. I was then informed that I could've transferred my gym membership in the first case which was noted down on their system that I had had this conversation with someone. I asked the woman on the phone why this was not rectified sooner and the only response I received was "Sorry, she was new". I asked to have my membership cancelled early as I am less than a month out and i've paid over $300 in membership fees which I could've avoided this whole time if their staff were trained properly. Incredibly disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My fave club to attend by far! Staff are friendly, encouraging and always welcoming. Classes are fun and enjoyable, with the instructors always ready to step in and help you every step of the way. Prices are fair and the facilities are well maintained. The membership options are fair priced and contracts are explained thoroughly with no hidden fees and they are happy to answer any enquiries you have. I would reccommend to anyone who is looking to start out because the classes alone will leave you wanting to join in more and more. Best thing I have ever done and my fitness is through the roof now.

Negative experience: Dont explain contracts proply , sugercoats it all just to rip you off.... 200$ down the drain ... found nitro iron addicts gym in carrum 10000x better. Better equipment and the staff dont trick you into anything , their service is 50x better then core.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love it here! There is a lot of equipment, a cross training studio, cardio area, weights room, a stretching room which you can do classes in, pole dancing and a HUGE ladies on gym. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They remember my name, notice my accomplishments and keep me motivated. Since joining, I have been doing PT with Zora once a week, and she is the best trainer I have ever had! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Core has such a great atmosphere to work out in, especially now the gym has been newly refurbished...love it here!
