Fantastic experience: I have recently toured almost all the GoodLife gyms in Brisbane and this one is among the best. Very spacious, nice squat rack area, nice big dumbbell area, and even a belt squat machine, and also glute adductors - those aren't in many GoodLife gyms. Lacks a proper seated row - they have instead put a bench in front of a regular cable machine so no foot rest. But still the best GoodLife in Bris 9/10

Positive experience: I've got a membership at both Fitness Cartel & Goodlife and hands down Fitness Cartel comes out on top. Much better newer equipment, freezing AC and just a great vibe compared to Goodlife

Negative experience: Have been to this gym a few times now. The gym is quite nice, has nice lighting and has good equipment for most workouts. But is not well equipped for a leg session. The leg press seat is too small, the calf raise machine padding is too wide making it hard for anyone that doesn’t have larger legs. Other equipment is difficult to use for first timers to use as there is a lot of moving parts

Negative experience: This gym is in a great location to where I live, however there is only 1 of every machine with exception of cardio. Their target audience is between high school to 30 year age group so at peak times you are surrounded by kids. The fortnight payments are on the higher side compared to other gyms and there is an additional $8 fee every month they charge you over and above your membership. The staff are not that friendly or helpful either.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife … what can I say. For years I’ve put on weight, become lethargic unmotivated and told myself I’ll walk tmw. I promised myself to join a gym - any really and Goodlife at Wynnum - the best ! Great equipment, great program. Great super friendly staff and my PT Laura is the best !

Fantastic experience: I am extremely happy with my experience at goodlife wynnum so far. It’s the nicest gym I have ever been to and I’m so glad I decided to join. I was nervous signing up to a contract but I haven’t had any issues thus far and the staff are happy to help with anything. The bathrooms are so spacious and always clean. It’s very good value for money at this gym especially when you get a good deal at certain times of the year. All the staff at the desk and the class instructors are all extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone.

Negative experience: Really bad customer service, extremely disappointed with how my situation was handled. I signed a contract for 12 months then went to cancel it and they said the contract was for 18 months and if I wanted to cancel I’d have to pay a hefty fee. I asked for the record for my contract and they didn’t provide me the original contract I signed only an online agreement with a box ticked yes, didn’t do this when I signed up. Then asked to speak with the guy that I signed my original contract with as he assured me it was for 12 months and I was told he doesn’t work there anymore. Spoke with Maggie on the phone who was extremely unhelpful. Wouldn’t not recommend this gym.

Negative experience: The mens' bathrooms have 3 urinals, one of which has been broken for about 2 weeks (at least), and flows water on the floor every time it auto flushes. I recently went to use one of the stalls instead, and found the toilet literally smeared with faeces all over it. One of the only two soap dispensers is constantly empty (I assume broken). [EDIT] Visiting again today, the bathrooms have been cleaned, and all three urinals are working again. Still only one soap dispenser working. Their single dual cable crossover machine has been broken for nearly 2 months. One of their Cold-War era rowing machines has been broken for over a month. Their seated cable rowing machine has been broken for nearly a month. A lot of the pin lock machines have the weights either too faded to read or completely scratched off the plates, so you'll have to guess what weights you're moving. Most staff are indifferent when you report these issues and will just shrug and say they don't have any information about repairs, there are one or two who seem genuine. [EDIT] Per attached, all three pieces of equipment still out of order for another week, and one of the brand new treadmills has joined them. I have 30 days on my cancellation notice period and will review again before that time is up. I'll give them points for having finally replaced some of the ancient (and constantly broken) cardio gear, although I'm pretty sure they did that only because they couldn't get parts for them anymore. Two of the old bikes had pedals that had snapped off completely, and at one point they had 6 out of about 12 treadmills all broken. The new gear is excellent. The only reason I've stayed as long as I have is the convenient location, the range of equipment, and the excellent people in the Nutrition Warehouse next door. I won't be renewing my membership at this gym.

Positive experience: First Gym I have gone too, not too crowded unless you go in in the afternoon. Staff are really nice, change rooms could do with some repairs and some equipment looks like its ready for updating (however thats me just nitpicking, what do I know ), very nice atmosphere overall. Always people there to help.

Negative experience: Stay away from this gym. They will scam you when you try to cancel your membership and instead will put you on hold for 3 months and then start charging you again! If you dont do it in writing they will claim they never received a cancellation request. Goodlife Wynum, Brisbane. Such poor customer service and lack of accountability definitely leave a lot to be desired. It is truly disappointing to hear that they failed to cancel your membership, leading to being charged for 2 years without a refund and even being referred to a debt collection agent. It is unacceptable that the management refused to address your concerns and instead delegated the task to a young worker.

Negative experience: Been a member for some time now at goodlife and Wynnum is probably the worst for teens not using towels and/or wiping down the equipment, nor are they being kept an eye on. Complained and the guy asked the young fellas a question, he believed them and then walked away. The teens never wiped down their machines nor did they have a towel , correct me if I'm wrong but one of the policies is if you don't have a towel you don't train. They go from machine to machine and give no Fs about cleaning up after themselves. How about actually watching your club instead of chatting behind the counter and walk around to see what is happening!. Not happy at all as this is now the 4th time I've seen this happen. This should be better managed! Will also be putting in co.plaint to head office. Do better Wynnum! Do better. I wasn't the only one watching them they were even mucking around on the equipment. They only pay school fees and us adults pay full membership, look after your members and club better as its not our job

Negative experience: Staff are rude, equipment is awful and outdated. HUGE SPIDER PROBLEM, every time I go in there I am startled by spiders the size of my hand. Sauna smells like sweaty feet and mould. Does’t even deserve 1 star. Do not go to this gym, there are way better in the area for the same price. So dissatisfied.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM! I joined Goodlife Wynnum earlier last year, informing them of my upcoming move to a different suburb of Brisbane and the need for an easy cancellation process. Unfortunately, my attempts to cancel have been met with delays, unfulfilled promises, and unauthorized charges. I officially moved to Aspley in July, and as of December 2023, I am still grappling with the gym's bureaucracy to cancel my membership. Despite assurances from the manager that my membership would be frozen, no action has been taken. It remains active, with weekly deductions, including fees for unused personal training sessions. The lack of communication and unfulfilled promises have left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I caution potential members to stay away from Goodlife Wynnum. My experience highlights a disappointing lack of transparency and accountability. I hope management addresses these issues for a more customer-friendly experience in the future.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. When I signed up I paid for 2 PT, I didn’t receive them even asking 5 times. Then asked for a refund and they refused. I also asked to put my membership on hold for 5 weeks. Came back to 5 weeks of payments. Tried to resolve the issue 5 times. 5 times they said it was resolved. I am now out of pocket $150 worth of services.

Positive experience: This place desperately needs a 2nd lat pulldown machine. Even when the gym isn't crowded, it's always taken! Furthermore, the weight racks are across the entire gym floor from the bench presses, and so if you use the bench press you'll be lugging the 20kg plates across the entire gym to set up your lift. However, on top of that most of the weights arent even on the main rack, so you go around hunting for them on other machines, so it's actually worse. The EZ curl bar has a long straight section in the middle. This makes you have to widen your grip, so it ends up throwing your exercise off. Otherwise I'm okay with this gym. I just have to always remove lateral pulldowns from my workout because the one machine there is is always taken, and you'll wait 20 mins to use it.

Negative experience: It's usually not overcrowded during the day and it's dead at midnight which is the best time to go. The facilities r clean n pretty decent, and the gym floor has space and a good little variety of machines. More leg machines than anything but still a good variety. For the price of a year and all the entries u want it's well worth it. Edit: 0 stars to the fact they did not inform me before cutting off my lock, taking all my personal belonging and giving them to charity. They said they put a notice up..... I hadn't been in. They did not make an effort to reach out to paying customers b4 damaging property and theft.

Negative experience: Terrible place to deal with. Took money out of my daughters account one month prior to start date. Spoke to them 3 times and still not rectified. I emailed Wynnum and Head office in regards to my membership no response but very quick to follow up about money to be paid for a cancellation. Could never get on equipment morning or night.

Negative experience: BUYER BEWARE: I was sold a temporary membership for one month with a one-off payment in May this year by a staff member in store - only to discover two months later that there is no such thing as a temporary membership with a one-off payment. Your card will continue to be debited every month until you seek to terminate and then it takes another month to end. So, you will need to immediately terminate your so called temporary membership on the day you get it in order to pay just one month. Wish I had known, I wouldn't have bothered.

Negative experience: Joined online after visiting in store, yet couldn't access my account online. I called up to see if my membership went through and was told I wasn't in the system. I then continued to receive phone calls encouraging me to join. Through all this time they continued to take money out of my account. Hard to get ahold of to cancel and didn't get back to me as promised. When I finally did cancel, was told I had just given them my 30 days notice. Lost $100s of dollars in unused membership before I realized they were taking my money. RUN.

Negative experience: Chrissy and I were very happy to join the gym mid-year 22. So we joined the membership following the first nice introduction by an instructor to the place. The deal was clear: when we are abroad or far away from QLD, we freeze the membership at no cost (that means $ 0). That was this option that makes our decision to join. Last October, we went far away for 3 months and, 2 weeks before, we asked to record that in their system. We have received the fees even though we don't use the service at all. That became an overdue payment which is definitively not: we didn't use the location. So I requested the cancellation of my membership from the club and the cancellation of these wrong overdue payments. They are still sending overdue notices and this is becoming harassment because this is now ARMA, a debt collector company that claims it. You can easily guess what kind of piece of advice I can give for this gym center...

Negative experience: Equipment is getting a bit dated and breaks regularly. Cable machines need servicing. I will bring some W40 and give the cables a bit of a lube up. Fees have increased but there's no obvious improvement to the gym. Too many members who don't put their weights back and not wiping equipment down after use. I stay because the floor space is ample and the aircon works well. There is plenty of equipment albeit old (as mentioned).

Negative experience: I purchased a 4 week pass from Local Group Deals. I called Goodlife twice, the same girl was of no help, talking down to me telling me to go away and read the fine print So I did, and the fine print states to call Goodlife to activate the deal I call back and again the girl Rachel was of no help I contact Local Group Deals and got a refund, Goodlife failed the test without even stepping inside the venue. I’m sure another gym around here will want my years membership

Negative experience: I was very happy joining the gym in March 2022 when my friend fisrt show me the Body Balance lesson. So I joined the membership after 2 times of visit. Unfortunately, I broken my wrist in July, they did freeze my membership for 8weeks, but after 2month of rest,I was still unable to do much workout, So I requested for the cancellation of my membership from the club, also sent in my Medical certificate. then, they never reply to me.( I went into the club, and seek for support, but no one could help) So I am unable to use the gym, but still being charged every week. Feeling really terrible!

Negative experience: Whilst the gym is spacious, when something breaks down, it takes a couple of weeks to fix. We see a lot of people not using towels which is off putting. Some of the trainers are stand offish and unapproachable. One of them keeps starting at me in the mornings with RBF quite often, then when she trains clients, and im using the boxing bag, she gets into my space!!! And don't get me started on the 3 monthly $10 charge for "The trainers to check in with you", I've disputed it every time and not once has a trainer called me. You guys are charging me for a service that isn't being provided. So overall, the above is really putting me off coming in most days, so overall, I'm not impressed, but I'm stuck in a contract, so now you're stuck with a bad review.

Fantastic experience: Yeah a nice big gym for anyone who wants to do some training or exercise. Loads of equipment and machines for all levels from beginners to experienced and beyond. Well worth giving them a try as you won't be disappointed as its never overcrowded and open all the time. Fees seem to be around industry standard so can't complain.

Negative experience: This is essentially fitness first with new greedy owners. Everything is all the same except it’s nearly double the price plus they have added a quarterly $10 fee for a personal trainer to see you to upsell to you every quarter!! So I use to pay 12.99 weekly each as a couples deal no fees no added extras and 2 pt sessions check ups free with fitness first and No join up fee. FYI they shut due to Covid and this greedy company took advantage and took them over. These guys are money hungry with a huge join up fee of $118 a 17.99 weekly on a 18month contract only to that one club and then 9.99 on top every quarter. I also explained I was a loyal past customer they didn’t care it was a take what they offer or nothing. So I choose no to good life hope the next gym there is not so greedy!!

Negative experience: I joined 14th April 2022. My membership took 12 days to be activated. Started using the service. Fast forward to Tue 10th May Fitness First changes to Goodlife, via sms I'm advised to collect my new access card during staffed hours with no crossover period for FF card use. Visit 2 days later to change membership, no cards left to complete activation. Come back 2 days later, still no cards. Return Sun 22nd May and finally get activated. This transition was rushed with no concern for the client, it seems the priority was only for the branding change. I see why I was offered the first month free when signing up. Woeful experience.

Fantastic experience: The smiling welcome at the front desk; the professionalism, enthusiasm and quality of the Personal Trainers; the generous amount of equipment; all the fantastic group training sessions and always, the cleanliness of the gym itself make Fitness First Wynnum my "go to happy place". Negative experience: Dirty, run-down, and broken old equipment that's not maintained. Have given this feedback numerous times but nothing changes. Expensive for what it is.

Fantastic experience: Good gym always clean and equipment in good condition. Lots of room and never overcrowded. Probably needs a stair climber and one two new cardio machines

Positive experience: I don’t do classes so can’t review those. Mainly use the free weights and the floor when the floor is available. Classes that are run at peak gym times on the floor can be frustrating when you’re trying to work out. Would be great if they could be moved to the studio dedicated to classes. Rarely use the equipment as what I like to use this gym doesn’t have (ski erg and and a proper functioning stair climber). Gym is pretty dirty and equipment is old to be honest. Most of the team is really great but there are a couple of trainers who are very very rude. Main bonus is the sauna.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, friendly staff and good about of equipment. I LOVE Spin on a Monday with Teri. She is an amazing instructor. Sauna is an added bonus!

Fantastic experience: Love our gym especially since its been done up and it's 24/7, great sauna too. The group fitness classes are fantastic. Fran's CX/core classes are the best and have to say thank you to Tammy for sticking with us for the Friday morning pump class great job

Fantastic experience: I go to the gym regularly and I love it . The staff are friendly and supportive. I especially like Tammy's Pump and Rpm classes . I work to my best ability because Tammy gives great tips on technique and she makes me laugh with her entertaining stories! I also really enjoy CX with Francine on Thursday mornings - actually, she puts you through so much pain its unbelievable !! However ,I love her class because I get results and Francine is so professional and an inspiration for me .

Fantastic experience: very well equipped gym with every amenity you could want and frequent signing specials, with no special at all i paid 30 to sign and 15 a week which for what you get is outstanding. Even have a daycare of sorts there
