Fantastic experience: I attend Goodlife Subiaco during the week, and Goodlife Hillarys over the weekends. Though Hillarys is in comparison to Subiaco still maturing, I am always struck by the ethics practiced in the Subiaco gym by other members including respect for equipment and personal space exhibited by all. No crowding is evident around machines/training stations and equipment is not held up by people catching up with mates on Instagram and other electronic communication methods. Always a pleasure to enter the gym, get through the session without delay and train on quality equipment.

Negative experience: Goodlife Subiaco is falling apart and trailing behind most other gyms, as far as the Goodlife chain of gyms go, Subiaco is so far behind. Here are some of the resons for the 2 stars. 1.Male toilets/change rooms stink of urine constantly and its sickening. 2.gym equipment id old and lacking 3.the bench press for example has been out of service for a month!! 4.PT's use multiple pieces of equipment for a client during peak periods,often rendering a piece of equipment 'busy' for up to 20min while they super set. Management asked for feedback, but never contacted back. or the fees i pay, its beyond a joke

Negative experience: Today I came to do aerobic exercises at this unit, after an hour and being completely drenched in sweat, I went to the shower and to my surprise the hot water wasn't working on a cold 12º degree day. Other people were also upset with this situation. I understand that this may not be the gym's fault but if at least there had been some warning at the entrance or the staff had been less decorative and more active in communicating with people, I would have gone to another unit. Now I'm going to work all sweaty. Its disgusting! The Goodlife subiaco unit is the dirtiest of all, it seems like no one has cleaned the equipments for months. I won't go back to this unit, you guys need to review some concepts.

Negative experience: A half decent premises heavily overpriced at $20 for casual user's the only downfall, dohertys and world gym are charging only $5.00

Negative experience: It is my favourite gym but they don’t know how to clean toilet. That stink there is so bad and it is not one time. Seems like it is a normal practice there. For that fee what they ask it shoud be clean and smell good.
Negative experience: If Zero (0) stars were available then that's what I would have rated them, but sadly it's not. An incident happened on Goodlife Subiaco premises on the 7th January 2024 that I was extremely unhappy about and made a formal complaint. It is now 21 March and still Ella the Manager of the gym at the time of the incident has not resolved the issue and has no intention of resolving it I assume. I had finished my exercises and walked into the reception area to sit down at the table to wait for my husband who had gone to collect his gym bag. There was a woman standing at the front door who was wanting me to let her in. I went and sat down and this woman kept on banging, banging, banging, banging....on the front glass doors. She then moved to the other side of the glass sliding doors so that she could see me and was harassing me from outside. Let me be very clear, we are living in a crazy world. I have no idea who this woman is, or if she has a vendetta against someone inside the gym. Also, according to the gyms rules you are not allowed any 'TAILGATING'. Anyway, i continued to sit and wait for my husband. The woman then piggybacked her way in with another woman. She then thought that it was appropriate to approach me at the table where i was sitting and gave me a mouthful. She told me that she was a member of the gym and how dare I not let her in! I advised her that I had no idea who she was and it wasn't up to me to allow her access. She told told me that 'karma' would get me and she continued to carry on. FYI, it is a dangerous practice not to have a accurate head count in any establishment in case of an emergency. Something I am sure Gooddlife Subiaco would be aware of. I made a formal complaint in writing, and asked Ella if she could check CCTV checked for Sunday 7 October between 9:15 and 9:30. The woman was doing a 9:30 class and she would be easy to identify. I then asked Ella if she could have a word to her - not an unreasonable request. It was on their premises and I don't pay a gym membership to be abused. It is unacceptable for me or anyone to be harassed when I inside their gym, following your rules. I have followed up with Ella three times. To date, still no reply.
Negative experience: Dreadful customer service particularly Karrinyup - not interested if you have a complaint - no one ever gets back to you. Don’t go anywhere near them.

Negative experience: Can't entirely recommend, poor culture within the gym. Facilities are ok, location is excellent and free parking. Just don't expect people to put weights away etc or gym floor to be clean, and staff don't care either. Subi needs a competitor and this place is in for a rude shock.
Negative experience: Created 3 accounts under my name without letting me know, the manager didn’t even want to speak to me over the phone. This is what you call customer service.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant club with great classes that’s included in yr membership! Love the variety of classes. Great front desk service. The weight section is very good, with so much Variety. Been coming here for years!
Negative experience: Stay away, equipment stay broken for long period of time and ‘male’ personal trainers will flirt with your partner in front of you to see your reaction. The worst customer service you will receive in your whole life for sure.
Positive experience: Customer service from the front reception staff has improved a huge amount and I’m so glad to see. Always good to have a friendly chat on the way in and on the way out of the gym. Keeps the motivation going.
Negative experience: Kept debiting past account weeks after my end of contract, despite telling me they wouldn’t. It was near impossible to sort out.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for a few years now, and I have to say, it's one of the best I've ever been to. Everything is always clean and well-maintained! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to ensure you feel comfortable and supported. What really sets this gym apart is the Body Balance group class. It's absolutely perfect! The instructor (Geoff Richards) is so knowledgeable and provides excellent guidance on exercises for improving balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. Overall, I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out.
Fantastic experience: Friendly, staff, great facility in Booragoon. Sauna and Steam bath always clean an active. I rove between gyms and to be honest Subiaco is my 2nd favourite. Just need the magic to drop the weight. :(

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Ian Carleton at Subi Goodlife - he's an excellent and professional personal trainer - I have had a number of injuries and he is helping improve my fitness and reach my health goals. Really happy!
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGNE UP HERE OR GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! They have been stealing my money out my account, called 3 different staff for canceling this membership I never sing in for and nobody is giving me an answer! It’s been 4 months of weekly payments without my permission!

Negative experience: So many hidden fees it’s unreal, if you’re locked into a contract and want to shift it to someone else they’ll charge both you and that person over 100 dollars, if your contract ends they’ll roll on the membership and make you wait 30 days to be able to cancel it. They’ve had a machine broken in the gym for well over a month that they haven’t even fixed yet either. All these hidden fees to con you out of your money and they can’t even fix a machine…pathetic.

Fantastic experience: The design of the sports facility is creative and artistic and it sparks motivation to exercise harder and longer Sufficient lighting in the gym (plenty of diffused natural light) and adequate indoor climate control, gym members can exercise comfortably at any time of the day or the year Enough space in the gym and enough room in between equipment so people can use the gear and move around without bothering other patrons in the facility. Equipment laid out with ease of use in mind – all the cardio machines together, keep the dumbbells close to the free weight machines, etc. Mirrors is incorporated in the weightlifting section (they’re very important for lifting properly and avoiding injuries), etc.

Positive experience: Deteriorating facilities, Iron and Ironing board, both extremely old and dirty have been broken for more than a week now and no ETA to replacement due to budget constraints. Not the response for a gym located in a business district targeting workers.
Negative experience: This is real scammers gym i have ever choose, i got job transfer in regional areas where there is no Goodlife facilities. So i decided to cancel my membership but, they said that i have to pay back the membership fees, i thought it was the balance amount and i agreed to pay but no they made all calculations and charge the double amount. At first i reject, but they are so powerful and they handover the case to Debit success (one of the scammers), and they keep on calling and emailing me, which really disturb me mentally as well as physically. So, please I urge everyone to read the reviews and choose the best and convenient gym. I am totally disappointed and I promised myself not to recommend Goodlife to anyone of my friends or family.

Positive experience: I'm leaving a review two years later because I remembered that whenever the sales person was showing me around the gym he just kept cool no worries again and again like "this is the bathroom cool no worries" "this is the treadmill area cool no worries" "and this is we have our group classes cool no worries" and it was so funny. Other than that, its an okay place. a little expensive and the salepeople are pushy, but otherwise allright

Fantastic experience: A great gym, has everything you could need and a few things I haven't worked out how to use yet. Great staff, friendly and always follow up. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: Good price for the amenities you get with a sauna and access to lots of classes. Would not recommend if you are in a hurry as often the equipment has not been put back in the correct spot. Music is also quite loud so if you don't have noise cancelling headphones don't bother trying to enjoy your own music/podcasts. Definitely a convenient gym worth going to but a few small adjustments could make it much better.
Fantastic experience: I love training here. The vibe is good and the machines are great too. It's the only goodlife gym I've been to where they have hard wooden platforms to do squats on as well. 5 stars.

Negative experience: They called my wife (old member) and gave her an offer to use the gym again for free for one month and if she made her mind up that she won't use it she can cancel with no charges. Guess what she called 3 days before the deadline and only used the gym 1 day. The thiefs want to charge her for a full month and they completely denied what they had told my wife. Highly recommend not to use this Gym.

Negative experience: Okay gym but the male toilet always smells bad. Came excited for a leg day and the gym has only 2 machines for hamstrings, which isn’t that bad, but both broken

Negative experience: Public holiday and the AC is off, we are paying money to use the facilities and they should let the AC on. 37 degree outside and boiling hot inside to do exercises. Disappointed

Negative experience: Okay gym but customer service is pretty awful. I got an email from my bank saying that the direct debit was going to increase after four years of paying 14.95 per week. No one from goodlife had called me to inform me of this increase. I called goodlife myself and was informed that the only way to get around the price increase was to resign to a new contracted period. In a climate where there are so many gyms wanting members it is so surprising that goodlife has such appalling customer service, especially to longstanding members.

Negative experience: Very disappointing as I used the gym as I wanted before just paying casual $20, it suited me very well but now they changed it. Now, you have to pay at least for two days which is very difficult use at once and expensive in general.

Negative experience: I use to be an active member of the gym for over three years and loved it until I decided to cancel my membership which I am entitled to do so . After many discussions, I am currently (after November 2018 thinking everything was fine and dissolved), have admin. ringing me up telling me that I have membership fees to pay - I am absolutely disgusted when I clearly indicated that my membership was to be cancelled as I relocated overseas. to which I was told, not a problem. I will never ever recommend this gym to anyone for this reason, this is your typical corporate scammer, trying to get money out of people because they think they can do so - go to a gym that runs their business ethically and offers you free immediate cancellation anytime after 1 year.

Negative experience: Extremely pushy sales people. They lie, some people get free parking some don't. some get aa discount too. So be careful and don't pay full price. If they have yuour number, they will call you everyday like pest.
Positive experience: So much to like about this club, but the maintenance and cleaning is substandard. Men’s changing areas increasingly resemble a war zone. Broken lockers, ratty furniture, poor drainage and offensive smell. Given the advertised market niche and committed staff and clients, there is just no reason why the organisation has allowed things to drift to its present condition. A pity, given the potential of the club.

Negative experience: Didn't sign up to this gym as the staff were extremely pushy and sort of rude when I said I couldn't afford what they were offering.

Negative experience: It was a good gym, hence the extra star, but their contract terms are laid out so they can get an extra month's payments once it has finished. Should you choose to cancel at any other gym outside of contract, the payments stop immediately. Goodlife will wring you for an extra $72. No thanks.

Positive experience: As far as gyms go, good life subiaco does the job. Has all the equipment you'll ever need and the change rooms have hairdryers & an ironing board which is convenient as if the free 2 hour parking. To be honest as goodlife charge significantly more than most other gyms it would be nice if they could put that money back into upgrading the equipment more often as much of it is starting to look & feel outdated.
