Negative experience: Spoke with Bethany the manager here about a tail gating fee . I explained it was another member that came in behind and to search up his account . She was very unhelpful , rude and in general a waste of time . This is a good gym with great staff it’s just a shame that the manager is such a let down.

Negative experience: I come to the gym everyday. It’s just got worse. Dirty sauna and steam room. The steam room reeks of urine. The female toilets are filthy. My biggest issue with the gym is that plates are never cleared or put away. I have raised the issue with Michelle but she kept giving feeble excuses like asking anyone to help me. Imagine one day when I walking in to use the sled and by golly! there were 80 kg plates on the sled with a thick rope tied to it. I couldn’t use it that day. The staff needs to be told to clear the plates. Today I had to ask a staff to help me clear the plates and rope off the sled. It’s just getting to be so bad as the days go by. Seriously looking for alternatives gyms.

Negative experience: Very messy gym with poor use of space. They have 2x free floor spaces which are littered with weights, medicine balls and boxes so it's difficult to find what you need as well as free space to work out in. Squat racks in the middle of the gym are double sided so there are at least a lot of them, but its not overtly obvious you can use both sides, nor is their set up easy with barbells all down one end and J-hooks difficult to find. Plates are placed back in no logical order, if they are placed back at all. Last time I went, there were 3x barbells set up and left at the squat racks, which no one touched the entire time. There are plenty of machines which is great, but only 2x cable machines which are always full, especially if someone is doing flyes. They have plenty of free weights but limited benches, so no chance of getting in there during peak times. Staff seem nice enough though, and the amenities are all pretty good, so if you only go outside of peak times you may be alright.

Negative experience: I come here just to work out and it’s the biggest gym around. Apart from that, this gym stinks and all the equipments are dusty and hand wash is always empty. 24/7 gym should be looked after regularly at least 2-3 times a day but i never seen a single staff aka trainer or whatever, clearing or tidying up. They are always busy socialising or PT and looking at mobile phone.

Negative experience: Whoever is calling their customers needs to learn how to speak on the phone. and actually make sure they have correct information. I am told i missed a payment, because i dont have money on my card. Look at my bank account, have money and has been pending $80. Train staff on how to speak to customers.

Negative experience: My issues with the gym are different and just about actually using it rather than payments. It’s largely about the culture of not putting plates away, leaving equipment all over the place which includes in front of escape doors and the attitude of the members that is enabled there by the staff not enforcing return of equipment in any way at all. It’s an ingrained culture and will not change. It’s inconvenient and even dangerous in terms of trip hazards and manual handling. These photos attached, were taken in just one visit. 1: Heavy plates go on the pegs highest on equipment. This should be obvious why and it’s marked on equipment any way. 2: Plates, bars, attachments are left al over the place. It’s like a naughty child’s play area and you better believe they cry when you tell them to put their toys away. 3: The pegs for the leg press don’t hold many plates so you’ll have to spend like 10min finding plates unless you take them from the squat racks. Plus people just pile them next to the equipment. So coupled with these numerous comments about payment ethics and inconsistent staff presence, Myaree is in need of making corrective actions as they clearly are attracting a low customer satisfaction score in these areas. I’m not obliged to use the compliment sandwich model here however I will say in general I’ve found the equipment to be adequate and or satisfactory. The steam and sauna are in good condition considering their nature and age and the same goes with the men’s change room. It is the aforementioned, culture and lack of effort in making corrections that I find unacceptable and contradictory to their own policies and I don’t need to be paying to be putting myself in that environment. I don’t see these problems changing so my solution is to just go somewhere else.

Positive experience: Very large gym with plenty of space and equipment. Several squat racks and benches. Machines for just about every type of exersize. Locker and shower/sauna area. Can get busy during peak hour periods and could be waiting to use equipment. They do need some additional cable machines as they are popular and a bit more flat bench space. They do spin classes etc as well and have personal trainers. You can also go 24hrs.
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. The mayeee club on particular is over crowded and the customer service is shocking. They will no let you cancel, even when your local club closes down and the new one they transfer you to doesn't offer the same facilities. Was told by the guy at the desk I could cancel without fees, only to be told through email that I can't. Absolute scam
Negative experience: The Quality of Goodlife Cannington going down some classes removed which people like them.
Negative experience: Do not sign up for this gym. Gym is filthy, no social media presence to let you know when it's closed, gear is constantly broken and never fixed. One of the worst gym experiences you will have, go somewhere else
Negative experience: Super dodgy on the membership / payments side of things. Thankfully the world of gyms has moved on and there are plenty of other options.
Negative experience: Cancelled over 2 months ago. They're still charging us every week and they don't reply to emails..
Positive experience: I joined Goodlife Myaree as it’s close to where I live, has classes and 24/7 gym access though the membership is on the expensive side.
Negative experience: Listen to the other reviews!! They warn you that you’ll never be able to cancel with these guys and they’re right. They will make it almost impossible for you to cancel even when your contract has ended and will never let you know when it ends, will give you the run around and you’ll end up having to chase like crazy but they’re faster than lightning when charging your account and if you ever miss a payment it is 10$ penalty every time every few days you miss it. You will have to wait 30 days from day of intention to cancel and wait for ‘manager approval’. This is just a money making scheme, go find other gyms, they have better customer service, membership policies and will not rob you in daylight. Save yourself a headache.

Fantastic experience: Signed up a few weeks ago. Very reasonable pricing. Layout is nice, lots of squat racks, tonnes of cardio machines and decent free weights area. Little sauna and big steam room (with a shower inside the steam room)
Positive experience: Great gym however inconsistently staffed in the mornings. Regularly waiting at the reception desk between 8 and 9 am week days to buy protein and no one is there. They just need to update their staffed hours to commence from 8 or 9 if they don't have the staff or want the additional income from food / bever / merch sales.
Fantastic experience: The staff at Goodlife Myaree have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that every visit is a positive experience. Whether I need assistance with equipment or have a simple query, they are always readily available and eager to assist. This is something I have struggled to find at other gyms, and it's one of the reasons why I really enjoy gymming here. Additionally, the gym is well equipt, and the machines are meticulously maintained. I have never encountered any difficulties accessing the equipment I require, and the overall cleanliness of the gym creates an environment where I can focus on my workouts without any distractions. Moreover, the people here are supportive and encouraging and are always willing to lend you a hand. This atmosphere sets Goodlife Myaree apart, and it’s the reason I have been going to this gym for years.
Fantastic experience: Friendly. Not so many weight-dropping steroid junkies.
Negative experience: I cancelled my gym membership on 30 March 2023. The guy at the reception counter did not tell me that there was a one month notice period. I handed in my membership card on the same day. I then discovered that my credit card was still being debited $27.79 a fortnight - I rang up and spoke to the manager, TK, who was extremely rude to me. She said that the one month notice cancellation period was in my contract even if the guy at reception didn't tell me. So that meant that my membership would only be cancelled on 30 April 2023. I subsequently discovered that Goodlife has continued to debit my credit card every fortnight - I went to Myaree and spoke to Laura at reception who was very nice and helpful - she said she would check my account - Laura said that there was no record of any cancellation of membership and no record of a telephone conversation with TK either - Laura said she has just moved from the UK to take up the position of manager at Goodlife Bibra Lake and was just helping out at Myaree that day - she promised to sort it out and agreed that I was not liable for any fees after 30 April 2023 and the extra fees deducted after that date would be refunded to my account - today I checked my credit card account and found that Goodlife has continued debiting my credit card for $27.79 each fortnight on 11 May and 25 May 2023 - I have contacted Goodlife Myaree via their website to complain about this and ask for a refund - I see no point in visiting Myaree again after my previous experiences. I have advised Goodlife Myaree (through their website) that I will seek to get my bank to reverse these unauthorised transactions.
Negative experience: Unprofessional staff, called in 3 times to cancel membership and they keep saying we don’t have any call record or activity log in our system saying you called for membership cancellation. I am now suppose to pay for 30 more days before they can cancel. Writing a review so now I can show them the proof on what day and time I called to cancel.

Negative experience: The issue is with the payment portal the gym uses. This has happened 3 times now. First time I assumed I forgot to send money to the debit account and I paid a penalty. These 2 other times I can confirm I've had money and it's come back as unsuccessfully payment and I'm being asked to pay a penalty. I do not find this a good experience ans would love a resolution. The debit success is only open till 5 pm AEST and now I won't have access to the gym for the weekend of I choose not to pay the penalty
Positive experience: It's a really great place to work out, there is a good variety and plenty of equipment. The staff are professional and friendly.
Fantastic experience: The new gym manager (New Zealand lady) is very good! She was dealing with a rude customer and she stayed super professional and calm even through the old man was being rude and offensive to her. She also has great energy and wa very apologetic to other customers about the rude man. She is the perfect person you want running a gym! Good job!!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express how highly I recommend Melody Wilcox, rpm and pace instructor. Her sincere passion, energy and never ending motivation in her classes are so unique. Not only are her classes a fantastic work out, but they completely fill my cup in so many ways!
Negative experience: This place somehow got both myself and my father’s personal contact details without consent - major breach of privacy. When I didn’t reply to their calls, they called my father and lied saying I emailed when I didn’t. Reported to ACMA.

Negative experience: Respect others and their personal space. It shouldn't matter if you're a staff member or 'thats just your way'. Placing your hands on another person Claudia should never be ok. The fact you get away with it because you're a female doing it to a male is abhorrent, because if the roles were reversed im sure it would be handled a lot differently. Negative experience: Do not sign up with Goodlife Myaree! Worst experiences with their management team. They don’t actually try and help with any administration issues. They only want to tell you how good they are at customer service, whilst providing no customer service. They do not listen at all. They state, it’s too bad, you are legally stuck in your membership. I have spent days on the phone to try find a good resolution. A representative from over east is the only decent help I have had since I have joined. So disappointed. They aren’t interested in helping their actual members. Join Revo , never had an issue with them. I now have to deal with the ombudsman.

Fantastic experience: Gym work outs and now the Arena have become addictive and quite simply fun! The staff have done an excellent job in creating a terrific & encouraging atmosphere. The equipment and premises always present well with a high quality selection of work out weights & machines on offer. A well maintained & very clean premises with something for everyone depending on your goal. I have tried a few gyms in the area - quite frankly I wouldn't waste your time or money.

Negative experience: The new management team is very unprofessional, unethical and practice poor communication. Our whole family is a part of the Myaree club and they decided to downgrade and alter all our memberships without prior notification or warning and only informed us months after, despite us being able to access prior benefits. When informed, they kept changing their story about what our memberships were and could not provide a straight answer. The only solution that they provided us was to keep us downgraded and if we wanted to experience prior benefits, we were required to pay a hefty fee. It is a shame as the club itself has great equipment and classes however the cons of the management team outweighs it all.

Negative experience: Why isn’t the sauna open for longer? I literally got here at 10:50 am got changed then went to go in sauna and they locked it. Shouldn’t weekends mean it is open longer?

Negative experience: Never trust this business with a direct debit. 3 attempts to cancel over 3 months and they still take money. 6 other previous members I know have chosen to leave because of poor management.

Negative experience: Terrible management and very poor communication! The club was closed for over a year and nobody could help me to terminate my membership with them. They owe me money because they took money from my account while they were closed. Now back and gave 1 day notice to take more money. Regardless of my efforts for 11 months to resolve this issue with the management team, they never responded to emails or returned my phone calls. Many other customers having the same issue and not returning to this club. I wasn't going to take it further, but I feel being harassed by them and debit success, and lodged my application with consumer protection and ACCC!

Negative experience: They advertise a 10-day free pass on their website, but when we arrived, they told us to use the gym today and we'd talk about the free pass tomorrow, and when we returned the next day, they informed us that the 10-day pass comes with a condition that you haven't used the gym before! And, because you went to the gym yesterday, you should sign up for our membership, and we'll be attached to it 7 days free pass! And I believe that is a ruse!

Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful communication with GOODLIFE in general. Give their long standing customers 1 week notice that the club will be reopening so no chance to cancel their membership if they have moved or changed gyms because HELLO you did burn down over a year ago! Get a life GOODLIFE and remember there are real people behind your money grabbing antics!! Will never ever be a member again and will tell everyone to watch their wallets when signing their lives away to you lot.

Negative experience: Had such a terrible experience with Goodlife. Didn't let me continue with my 7 day free trial until I signed up. Extended my year membership just so they could receive payment (due to COVID). Was closed so many times with no compensation or heads up. Very poor communication when I made enquiries. Still made me pay despite being closed at the moment. I wish I saw reviews before I signed up. Please beware, all they want is money.

Negative experience: I signed up for the 10 day free trial. Upon arriving I was asked to sign up to a 12 month contract. I asked if I could just do the month to month option, they said if I choose that option I will only get a 7 day free pass. Then they proceed to tell me there is a joining fee and they need credit card information. I was told if I cancel before the week is up then I wont be charged. I cancelled on time as I wasn't ready to pay the joining fee but I was still charged $96. It has been weeks now waiting for a refund, every time I try to call they don't answer there phones. I would have been happy to sign up at a later date if I weren't treated so poorly! This gym is a scam, don't sign up for any "free trials"!
Positive experience: Very big and lots of quality gear and lots of very serious gym goers. Toilets and Showers were clean and in good shape. There's a steam room and spa too. Take racing bathers to wear in these areas and don't forget about thongs for your feet to protect yourself from tinea which inevitably thrives in the hot wet environment in these areas.
Fantastic experience: Of all the GoodLife gyms I've been to this one had the best equipment, best saunas, and the males toilet area didn't smell bad. The lockers worked better too! It is quite a busy gym though.
Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for years, and It's the most well maintained Good Life I've been to (I've worked out at over a dozen of them). The gym is huge, they recently purchased all new equipment, and the facilities / change rooms are always thoroughly cleaned. I usually go there very late in the afternoon / night and I see how hard the cleaners work to keep this place in order. They do a great job.
Negative experience: Poor maintenance of equipment which is not done directly by anyone on site. Very dirty with bathrooms usually in quite a state. Busy and overcrowded most of the time.
Positive experience: This place is huge with variety of equipments. You need not wait for it. Although it can get bit busy sometimes. The restrooms are good.

Positive experience: This is s good gym! Hugh space, equipments are all in good conditions! I must say the cleaner works really hard and I never see him taking a break!
Negative experience: Only showed compassion for my health issues when I called to cancel my membership. Wasn't notified of my suspension ending which was promised to convince me not to cancel and now being harassed for payment even though I rescinded their permission to contact me. This is the type of behaviour the ACCC have been penalising gyms for.
Fantastic experience: Great 24/7 gym. Great atmosphere
Negative experience: Have over-charged me upon leaving them. Crooks. Be prepared to be ripped off. The poor comments on here are real and should be heeded.

Negative experience: 5 day free pass deception. I was rang to confirm what time I was thinking of calling in and asked how I heard about them. I told the lady I had been with a member once before, Zoe told me to call down and have a chat before using the facilities. During the chat I was told I had to buy a membership but they would put the 5 days onto the start of the membership because I had heen in using the facilities before. I felt that it was deceiving way to conduct business and didnt tell me on the phone that the pass wasn't valid but waited untill I had driven down. After this negitive experience and feeling like good will wasn't extended towards me I decided to conduct my business elsewhere.

Positive experience: Its a really well maintained gym, as they keep updating and refurbishing every year. Very popular so sometimes it can be hectic. It would be great if they offered cheaper casual pricing, however the facilities are awesome so I guess that is why they can afford to keep it modern. Love it.

Positive experience: Best gym in Perth. Despite it being 10 plus years old it still looks brand new inside. Was a Fitness First gym originally now Good life. Great Spot heaps of room and gear to use without waiting.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service, always email your complaints to them if you don't want to have to repeat your complaint multiple times on multiple phone calls over an extended period. I got charged my joining fee twice, and wasn't resolved after I called them four times over four weeks, and when I eventually emailed, it finally got it fixed. Also did not process one of my requested suspension, even though I called on the day before my billing day. I called multiple times over a few hours, but no one picked up, and when they eventually did, "the receptionist isn't here at the moment, but I'll write it on a piece of paper for them". And this didn't happen. Even to the cancellation of my account, they billed me an extra week from the 30 days notice, just because my cancellation request was sent on my billing day. It's just an absolute nightmare dealing with this branch. Very unprofessional.
Positive experience: Good gym, has all the basic equipment required
Negative experience: This gym is a chaos, way too busy. And when I say busy, I mean busy to the point where I sometimes have to change my workout because of how hard it is to get a machine I want. And not only that, the personal trainers are so arrogant and not friendly. The receptionist girl was rude too, snatching the key tag from my hand. Can’t stand this place.

Fantastic experience: Bo is the best trainer at this gym, intelligence, innovative and dedicated he is right in there with you every step of the way. If you want a trainer to push you without injury and have fun doing it this is the trainer for you. As far as the gym goes it is great but the carpet badly needs a deep and thorough clean. It is letting down the standard of an otherwise very nice gym.

Negative experience: Too crowded have to wait a while to use equipment. Staff are the most unfriendly people you will ever come across. Most of the times these people won't even bother greeting before someone leaves the building. Goodlife you guys should really consider hiring more people centred staff instead of hiring these ungrateful bunch.
Negative experience: The customer service on reception is just getting worse and worse. The blonde chic, the short chick and the redhead are the only decent reception greeters. As for the rest of the girls, waaaay too interested in checking out their latest Instagram selfies and attempting to flirt with the one hot guy in the gym to utter a hello let alone a smile. Extremely Substandard, for the ease of the job. Employ more guys and girls that have actual personalities. I wish I could say they have gone for looks over personality with these lazy employees but that isn't the case either. Sigh. #youworkthedooratthegymgetoveryourselforfindasugadaddy. Might have to take myself to Jetts.
Negative experience: Slipped my disc while deadlifting on the soft floor which cost me more then $2000 to fix and 3 months away from training should at least provide a deadlift platform for people who deadlift heavy
