Negative experience: Facilities are decent - spacious, spread across two levels with a good range of equipment catering for different workouts. Mostly friendly team though I did run into some issues with account management. When I reached out re an account freeze, a small amount of professionalism and helpfulness would have been nice. It's reasonable for a member to follow up and ask whether a request has been processed when there hasn't been any confirmation. Losing your patience at that one question and saying "bro it takes time," doesn't help either of us. If you can't verify it or you can't do it, then direct me to someone who can, that's totally fine. It's an unscrupulous business practice to promise the freeze has gone through, only for me to find out later the account is still active and being charged.

Negative experience: My credit card was stolen two weeks ago. Right after I got my new card one week later, I called and updated my credit card info. Somehow their debit company couldn’t successfully charge my new card and asking to charge me late fee for $10 per week. I’ve contacted them several times to explain the situation and they refused to wave the late fees and claimed it’s in the contract. Terrible attitude for a long term member. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Big gym full of loads of equipment with great studio space for classes or dance practice and sauna, monsoon shower etc. But the friendly staff and trainers also make it a place I like to exercise

Negative experience: Reducing staffed hours will eventually lead to the shut down of this club... maybe that's the intended goal? By the time I finish work at 5, sit in traffic to get there to do a workout, the steam and sauna are closed! What's the point of paying extra for facilities that we can't even have the chance to use?? Oh yes and closing at 1pm on weekends? Absolutely ridiculous. Might as well not even open. The extra star is because the staff are very friendly and polite... when they are actually there!

Positive experience: The current Club Manager stands out amongst the Club Manager's of the past at Malvern Valley. That is not to put down past managers but to point out that the current Club Manager is not only being seen and giving time to members but it is the way he is going about doing this has created more connection with myself and members. His staff are right behind him with a very positive approach always which is great to see and a credit to what the Club manager to get his staff to apply themselves the way they do. He is the first manager at MV who has actually put action to conversation much more (at times immediately or by follow up) than I have ever seen prior. One can see he cares about ALL detail and if he could do more ... it seems he probably WOULD. I hope this manager will be around for many years to come and he will not be moved on one day as past managers. I also wish he could have more sway within his club than he currently has to enact more local changes. I have given a 4 star because 5 star means perfection (MV still has issues) and 3 star means standard (past managers) in my mind which is what past managers have been in my eyes.

Negative experience: me and my friend came in yesterday and omfg this guy would not stop talking. we came in to potentially sign up but he genuinely just went on and on about random things and pricing and it completely turned us off. it's insane. just tell us the price and then that's it. apart from that annoying encounter the prices are just ridiculous. 30 a week is insane in this economy. i don't care u have a sauna just make it cheaper.

Negative experience: I would give "Zero" stars if there was an option. Terrible customer service. When I first walked in to enquire about the gym facilities and memberships, even though I didn't instantly fell in love with the place (quite an average 24/7 gym IMO) the person I talked to persuasively convinced me and my wife to join, saying that it was risk free as I could always cancel the membership if I did it before the 7day trial period and we wouldn't be charged a cent. Indeed, we went back to the place before the 7 day mark and cancelled the membership knowing that this wasn't the Gym for us. They told us to do it by sending an email with the request which we did on the spot and they acknowledge the reception of the email. To our surprise, a week later we noticed that the funds for the membership fees were withdrawn from our bank account. It's been almost 4 weeks since this happened and despite we sending several emails and going to the site to follow up, they haven't done the refund and they can't give us a straight answer as to when it will happen. This is just appalling and reading through other people reviews, it seems to be an issue for many customers. This is just dishonesty, plain and simple. I wouldn't join this Gym if I were you. There are multiple and much better options in the area.

Negative experience: I had an unpleasant experience at this store. The salesperson informed me of a seven-day free trial upon registration, stating that if I didn't like it, I could cancel my membership on the seventh day without any charges. So, on the seventh day, I returned my membership card and followed the instructions of the counter staff to send my cancellation email to their store email account. I also received a phone call confirming the cancellation. A few days later, I deleted my email, thinking the matter was resolved. However, I later received a deduction notification. When I contacted the store manager and informed them of my cancellation, questioning why they deducted the payment, and requested a refund and cancellation of my membership, they asked for proof that I had notified them of the cancellation. Consequently, I spent several hours retrieving the email I had already deleted. I am very dissatisfied with their handling of the situation, as it was not my personal negligence, yet I had to spend time finding email proof to justify myself.

Fantastic experience: Have trained here for just under a year and unfortunately leaving as I am moving interstate - I have trained across several different fitness firsts and other gyms, but this gym has the best customer service and care in work across the whole team that I’ve experienced. A bonus that it is 24/7. Highly recommend !
Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with fitness first malvern valley. I cancelled my membership during the “cooling off period” (a period where you can cancel your membership without the gym charging you anything) and they proceeded to take funds from my account for several weeks. I called, emailed and spoke to the manager multiple times who assured me that the issue would be resolved and it wasn't. During this time money was still coming out of my account and when I made the money inaccessible I got overdue notices. About 3 months later, I wrote to fitness first explaining I would lodge a complaint with consumer affairs and FINALLY some results. There are so many fantastic gyms around the area, I would recommend trying somewhere else..

Negative experience: Staff will ruin it for you!!! Do not sign up!!! Wanted to try out this gym as I was thinking of moving that way so went in to use the 7 day trial period and the manager or the assistant manager wouldn’t let me do so unless I sign up for the membership. I was told I can cancel it within 7 days. So I did sign up but didn’t like how the staff were and decided to cancel the membership within 7 days. They refused to cancel my membership, offered me different things which I didn’t want and gave me so much trouble. It has been months now but they still deduct small amounts from my bank account. When I call they say the membership is still on and there are no records of cancellation. I asked for an email address to resend a cancel request asked me to do it on the website which I already have done months ago also I did again and now no one responds. Absolutely disgusting and no point complaining they just don’t care.

Fantastic experience: This Gym has all the right qualities you want in a gym! Great staff with a really positive and helpful attitude towards you when you arrive, be it that you are a first timer or long term gymaholic they know how to treat you. The facilities have a wide range of equipment and enough to go round that is maintained, clean and in good working condition. The PT team also make this place I have been using one for 6 months and highly recommend Nick if anyone is looking for a good PT! Thanks to Gareth and all the team, keep up the great work!

Negative experience: Never join membership with them. Joined for 12 months and you are bound to give 1 month notice after the contract period. I know that might be normal for gym memberships, but I have paid nearly extra 4 months to them, as they are very poor at cancellation. Poor in reading emails and taking actions, and I am very close to the step for legal action.

Negative experience: This gym is beautiful and has wonderful equipment and amazing facilities. However, the staff will make you want to pull your own hair out. If you live locally this gym has all the potential in the world to help you achieve any of your personal fitness goals. However, if you have any kind of issue with your membership or your experience, dealing with the staff is very painful. Between them asking an arm long length of questions then advising you to send email after having a conversations it is all just exhausting. In summary, beautiful layout, clean, well-kept and great facilities, unhelpful staff.
Fantastic experience: I enjoy going to Malvern Valley Fitness First. The customer service is excellent! So welcoming and helpful! They definitely go out of their way to look after their members. Gareth West, the manager, has been extremely helpful and has done his absolute best for us. The surroundings are lovely, spacious, and spotless. Strongly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Fitness First Malvern Valley and I am extremely impressed with the gym and staff. The gym is a great size - lots of machines, free weights, and space to exercise. The staff were also super helpful during the sign up process and answered all of my questions - Philip was particularly helpful with this! I've done my own exercises here and attended 2 different group classes, all of which gave me with a phenomenal workout. I'd definitely recommend this gym if you're looking for warm and welcoming staff, and a great place to workout!

Negative experience: Stay away from Fitness First. When I joined, they didn't tell me how long is the cooling off period, what the cancellation policy. Something happened and my financial circumstances changed unexpectedly. I told the Fitness First Malvern Valley manager that I have to cancel my membership, hoping that she would understand. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. She told me that I have to pay $295 to cancel the membership regardless of the situation. It's very bad. Be careful with Fitness First, think twice before you trap yourself in the membership. I do not recommend that Fitness Centre.
Negative experience: Good gym and good equipment, but most members here need to have their memberships revoked. My girlfriend has complained to me multiple times about men entering the women's change rooms, and every time I need to use the bathroom 1 or more of the toilets either has urine or poo on them the fact no one knows how to use the toilet without getting something on the seat is disturbing. Accompanied with the fact alot of members don't know basic decency and will routinely put thier legs on the dumbbell rack while working out preventing other members from grabbing weights and not unracking thier weight after they are done using it only makes it worse. It's a good gym with good equipment and staff its a shame that the members ruin it
Fantastic experience: A good well facilitated, clean and tidy gym. Staff are friendly and approachable and most if not all equipment is in excellent working order and well maintained
Negative experience: Look the gym itself is nice and huge, but they reduced staff hours and that reduces the use of Sauna, Steam room and Aroma Therapy, you pay a premium and they do not communicate at all, they barely answer phone and emails go unread or dismissed, I have even call another fitness first in the area and they have even sent emails and they don't reply to them either, I can't cancel my membership and there is a $295 cancellation (upon being told in sign up if i had to move away and there was not a Ftiness first in the location i could cancel with proof of new living location) plus the extra payments that are still happening!!! Do not sign up here as then you have to cancel here and they only want that premium amount for a premium gym.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, lots of parking space, not too busy and a they have a variety of equipment. Kudos to Mers for hooking me up with Aadil as my PT.
Negative experience: This is the worst gym I have ever been to. They have this plan for free trial for the first 7 days and if you cancel the membership they wouldn't charge you for it and I did the same and surprisingly they did charge me for my membership. I have tried contacting them a million times and all they tell is they are still processing my refund. Its been more than 2 weeks and I still haven't recieved my refund. They are a huge SCAM! They will lure people with free membership and would still charge them.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym for over 5 years. I really enjoy the Les MIlls group fitness classes, particularly bodypump and rpm. The instructors are all consistently good, enthusiastic and very welcoming. The overall gym space is very freindly and accessible. There's plenty of space and a great variety of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best gym I've every visited. Equipment is really good. Neat & tidy. Fabulous Relaxation zone and overall it's worth your money. The team in Malvern Valley is awesome! Keep up the good work!
Fantastic experience: A large space with plenty of equipment that is new and well maintained. The relaxation zone has a sauna, steam room and aromatherapy which is awesome for post-workout recovery. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, especially the manager and the receptionist Robin who can help you out any time you accidentally use the women's change room at the start of your workout and then can't find your stuff in the men's change room at the end of your workout and you're frantically trying to figure out why none of the lockers will open for you and you think you've lost all your wordly possessions. Highly recommended.
