Fantastic experience: Very good hobby, I used to go a lot but now I change suburbs and I still recommend it is very good place to train and have a good time with friends, all in good condition.

Fantastic experience: The place is great. But can you please fix the showers? Only the 3rd shower in the ladies bathroom is any good. The others hardly spray any water at all!

Fantastic experience: Great afternoon fun for my 7 and 9 year old girls! free use of pool noodles! 10 min walk from sage hotel. (free passes) check on the day directly if suitable for your little ones.

Fantastic experience: Very good pool, 50 metres, sometimes divided into 2 x 25 metres. Changerooms have changing cubicles, shower cubicles, benches, electrical outlets at the mirror. Lounge chairs available under shade; other chairs in the sun. Coffee available, shop selling swimming gear.

Positive experience: On a few occasions the pool has not been cleaned- on one occasion I saw a coffee lid and plastic wrapper at the bottom of the pool.

Negative experience: As mentioned by some people, this pool is slowly going from being 'public' to 'private'. The last couple of weekends I've turned up and half the pool was reserved for water polo or other private groups. This was despite checking the official lane availability schedule on the website which claimed all lanes were available. When I mentioned this to the person at reception, he gave no explanation or apology. Some weeks half the time is reserved for water polo, carnivals or squad training. While most staff are nice and friendly, I have had the one or two who are not.

Negative experience: Always rented out to businesses closing half the lanes or the entire pool. Locals can’t rely on it for exercice. Hard to call it a public pool.

Negative experience: I am a regular at the Valley Pool, and have been for many years, i have noticed a disturbing trend over the last year whereby regularly the public are relegated to a few lanes and the rest of this ‘public pool’ is handed over to clubs, squads and other swim lesson companies charging for their services. This is fairly outrageous- a public pool built with public money now ‘selling off’ this community asset so as to make public access severely restricted and allow lanes to be profitable is not acceptable. The amount of lanes consistently utilised as non-public ensures the public use of this pool continues to decline. Coupling this with the fact that the ‘lane availability’ information on the website is not up to date, means a compete lack of confidence regarding the quality of the swim at this pool. So, so disappointing that this beautiful public pool has ceased to be for the public.

Positive experience: pool and facilities are great, but i swim with school and on the first swim meet heaps of people were falling over on the stairs in the grandstands.

Positive experience: I only go there because it is close to my place but I really did not like it. I paid for a single entry the other day and I was shoved to a different lane as it turned out a PT booked 4 lanes for training. Then few minutes later they claimed the 5th lane. It was also annoying to swim with the fast ones in the same lane. The other lanes were cut in half which I would not use. There was no warning before hand about the training sessions taking place at that time.

Fantastic experience: Very cool pool, it’s got lounges to relax on the side and is also pretty ️‍ friendly .

Positive experience: Great spot in the heart of the valley to escape the heat. They sell coffee, smoothies, cold drinks, goodies and even have a bar! The only flaw personally, is there isn't much room, if any, dedicated for people who aren't swimming laps. You try and cool off and there's always someone able to swim laps right next to you no matter where you get in.

Negative experience: Warning. The TC’s for joining on a casual are not clear that there is an excessive joining fee. It’s not worth the 17$ odd dollars a week nor the 70$ odd dollars to join. The gym its self is disappointing, small, cramped, dated, no air flow, no wall space, The pool is great - I give you that. So save yourself money and just pay as you go. Better city pools with gyms out there in Brisbane.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic pool with crystal clear water. Love the way the pool is divided into 25m and 50m lanes as you often get a lane to yourself. Sun loungers and shade cloth provide a great space for hanging out. Friendly, helpful staff that greet me by name when I visit. Gym is quite small, but has adequate cardio and weights equipment. Coffee is good and toasties are what any reasonable person would expect buying food at a swimming pool. ;-)

Fantastic experience: Classic! Great staff! All the other patrons know lane etiquette. Great for lap swimming. Perhaps not for a family outing. My first visit to the pool in almost 40 years when I did holiday work at Coca-Cola bottlers in the Valley! It hasn't changed.

Positive experience: Good pool, has clean water and has good amenities. Sadly ground floor and grandstand are quite dirty. Canteen serves good, hot food. Come here for casual swimming, but not for a day out.

Fantastic experience: The valley pool is clean, inviting, refreshing to say the least. Always perfect conditions here. Maintained to a high standard. 4 lanes 50m and 4 have a 25m barrier seperating(8x25m lanes). Plenty of space. Can get a little busy in the peak periods though. All round great place to swim.

Fantastic experience: The best thing in The Valley. The pool is refreshingly cool and a peaceful spot in the midst of inner city hustle and bustle. Facilities are clean despite being dated. This pool is a much better option for Fortitude Valley entertainment than the other notorious options nearby.

Fantastic experience: The pool you can become a human dolphin in! Offer everything from Squad training to gym equipment and fitness plans! I recently purchased a fresh set of goggles there and now I feel like a merman! A price to match too! Do you let the inner turtle in you out at this Olympic quality performance centre!

Positive experience: Nice popular spot, able to borrow pool equipment, friendly atmosphere. Would be nice to have some warning before toilets are closed for cleaning while bags are still in there, been locked out a few times now

Fantastic experience: Nice swimming pool in the middle of brissy. 5 bucks gets you in, most of the people there are doing lane swimming but there's some some lanes if you just fancy a dip and a chill on the sunbeds. Little shop for drinks and clothes and the shower facilities are basic but decent. Free sun cream PROTECT YA NECK

Fantastic experience: Great pool (long and clean) with nice staff, the place to be in Brisbane on a hot sunday afternoon where there's no plan to go to the beach! The entrance costs a few dollars only, you can book a voucher if you are planning to go often.

Positive experience: Good size pool and excellent area to lay by to pool read a book or listen to some tunes between laps.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, clean bathrooms and the sun lounges are a huge bonus if you want to catch some rays on the weekend. They also let you use their flippers/boards at no extra cost where as Centenary does not - that is a huge bonus for me.

Positive experience: ***Newsflash - weekend hours now extended to 515pm as at 19/9/20.*** Great pool handily located near public transport with really friendly staff and opening hours. My only regret is that I didn't make use of the pool sooner than I did!

Fantastic experience: Great pool and atmosphere. Kids played water polo finals and crowds was great. You can also get cold drinks and snacks good the kids.
