Fantastic experience: Everyone at pretty top team were super friendly. I paid for a week pass which got full access to all classes. I trained BJJ, Muay thai and wrestling. During my time the coaches were amazing in each class and helped me fine tune my skills, i would highly recommend this to anyone visiting or even locals.

Negative experience: Pretty top team were not inclusive of the disabled community at all. The female owner basically scoffed at me when I asked if they accepted a companion card so I could attend with a participant, she declined the companion card and charged me full price as a carer just to help my client attend class. This is the first business in Queensland I've ever witness reject a companion card. She said "we are too small". Every other cinema, recreational facility, gym, entertainment or sport facility in Queensland has openly accepted this card. After several weeks of training my participant was asked to find a new gym and not to return to BJJ classes as he 'didn't get it". If you or anyone you know has a disability this gym is NOT for you. Pretty top team... Do better!

Fantastic experience: Pretty Muay Thai is an incredible gym. Not only is it a beautiful community filled with wonderful people who will make you feel welcomed and cared for, with amazing coaches and fighters who really take the time to get to know you and teach you (particularly Jessie Geyl, one of the most patient, caring, kind, and eloquently spoken coaches anyone could ask for ), but it is also an evolving environment, which changes and grows so consistently that you are motivated to grow with it

Fantastic experience: As a female competitor of this gym for the last 2.5 years I have never felt more understood an guided emotionally, mentally and physically as an athlete. Supported by coaches of various experience's,The atmosphere and friendly welcoming by all members supports a passion i never thought i would be hooked on and has changed my life for all the better in many aspects. I have seen almost 100 beginner's follow the process to compete in their 1st Muay Thai fight and come out with the most incredible confidence and self-respecting attitude. This gym is like no other combat facility as you will feel right at home.

Fantastic experience: Came from Brisbane and had a session at Pretty, they were so kind to me from the moment I stepped in to the moment I left, I was shocked at how many females were there as it’s not a normal thing to see. Fantastic experience: Spent a week training here whilst on holiday in cairns and couldn’t recommend it more, all of the team were very helpful and friendly and made it easy to just walk into a new gym and feel welcome, a good busy class with a range of experiences from beginner to professional and a good mix of male and females so everyone is welcome. Their instruction was excellent for a beginner like myself in forming the basics and their community welcoming and patient (and lively too, if the public events say anything). What I learned was invaluable and had I stayed longer, I would surely have learned more.

Fantastic experience: Without any previous experience in martial art, I joined PTT for fitness and cardio. Today, not only I reached those two goals, I also had the opportunity to jump in the ring. I had a close experience of a real fight after their beginners fighting training programs. The coaches are just great and supportive. PTT is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: Me and my other half started Muay Thai around 6 weeks ago, we had no expectations but as soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed with open arms, it really is a little community. Fantastic experience: I had my free trial last night, that i just easily claimed on their website, and I have never worked out like that before! Such a great team spirit and coaches who care. I wish I would have tried it earlier! I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an intense, fun workout. Time was flying by. PLUS: everyone makes you feel very welcome even though I was a total beginner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: My 17 year old son has been going to Pretty Muay Thai for a while now and we’ve noticed a great improvement in his mood and he’s lost 15kg! The team are supportive for everyone, even if you don’t know what you’re doing and Paul and his team are wonderful teachers and great role models.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Wanted to get into Muay Thai so me and my partner signed up for a free class and from the start everyone at the gym was so friendly and encouraging! We have since been back 4/5 times a week for the last couple months doing the fundamentals and all level classes! The coaches are great and are really helping us progress, the team is just sp lovely and I am actually really sad that we are leaving Cairns soon so won’t be able to continue. If you are looking to try a martial arts gym (they do boxing, wrestling and ju jitsu too!) I defo recommend Pretty Top Team gym!

Fantastic experience: This is an incredible gym. Pretty Top Team has become my second home over the past couple of years. You are immediately embraced by welcoming and encouraging coaches and members when you walk in. Paul and Frankie have built an amazing culture based on community, hard work and fun. The training is exceptional. Wether your goals are to learn a new sport as a novice, get fit, gain skill in boxing, Muay Thai or wrestling, or compete at a high level, there is a place for you here. I've trained with a number of coaches and haven't found another who is both a standout in the sport in their own right as well as capable of transferring that knowledge onto their students so well. Paul is constantly learning, improving and refining his systems to deliver his training in such a way that you will see development in a short period of time. The skill level of members and the achievements are testament to this. The first class is free, so there's really nothing to lose. PTT is 100% the real deal and worth checking out, no matter your level of experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m not a massive Gym goer, but my partner and I tried out a free trial class for Muay Thai. It was a great experience and the coach was very patient with us being absolute beginners. It was a fun and knowledgeable class, supported by a very welcoming and friendly environment, with lots of fun exercises and games to get the heart racing.

Fantastic experience: I started at Pretty Top Team without any athletic background, never have done sports before, overweight and just looking for something to help me get fit, shortly after starting I fell in love with the sport and the people at this gym. It was nice to come to a gym where other people looked like me, and there were several different shapes and sizes and Pretty Top Team catered to that. I started with their Beginners classes, and eventually joined their fitness classes and I have become more and more confident in who I am as a person, and have been supported and believed in, in every step of my journey. I started off really unfit, barely getting through fitness classes, to being able to do things I never thought I'd be able to do, especially starting at a heavier weight. Its been an epic journey with pretty top team and I highly recommend it. It's not only transformed my body, but transformed my life! Love Paul and Frankie and the coaches, they believe in you and support you wholeheartedly and are so real and authentic.

The culture that Paul and Frankie have built is truly second to none, there's a massively welcoming community and a real family feel that makes it feel like a second home. There are programs in place to offer high level training regardless of experience or goals, from absolute beginners walking in for their first class just wanting to boost their fitness to world title holders and everything in between, and systems that have been continually refined over the past few years that mean the rate of development is massive for anyone who wants to progress in the sport. I've worked with a few different coaches in the past who have been exceptional athletes in their sport, but it's very rare to find someone who is also able to pass along that knowledge and translate their success into coaching and Paul is truly special in this regard, and the growing collection of belts and high level fighters is testament to this. He's always learning, always improving and the technical level of training is constantly being raised which benefits everyone in the gym. As a result of this, he's also used this same success to turn some of his fighters into exceptional coaches, so there are enough people around to constantly be helping and developing newer fighters. Really can't speak highly enough of this place or all of the people who are a part of it. Absolutely worth joining no matter where you are on your journey or what your goals are.

Fantastic experience: I've been looking for a wrestling gym for a while now after trying a few of the local BJJ gyms. Pretty Top Team has a welcoming and positive environment. There are people of different experience, gender, races and sizes all training together. The coaches are knowledgable and passionate about their craft. They also offer kids classes for wrestling, boxing and Muay Thai which are very popular. They teach valuable life skills as well as martial arts. Can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: Been training with Pretty Muay Thai under coach Paul since the middle of 2019! Learning the Pretty Muay thai system Ive gone from having no fights to winning the WMO Super Welterweight QLD title only 2 weeks ago. Under Pauls coaching and guidance Ive learned the art of Muay thai and highly recommend it to anyone who has never done Muay Thai He takes complete beginners with no fighting experience and makes them into champions!

Fantastic experience: I trained with head coach Paul for only about 15 months and excelled at an incredible rate. The system he uses to teach is lightyears ahead of what I have experienced in other gyms and I find myself being very comfortable sparring with people who have been training in Muay Thai or striking in general for 10+ year. The atmosphere created by his enthusiasm for the sport is awesome and his passion is contagious! 100% recommended!

Owners Paul and Frankie have a clear vision for their gym and work very hard to welcome new people especially if you are a complete beginner like me. This is reflected through the positive community of people that come regularly since the gym opened. The coaches and fight team are also all great people. They are always approachable and willing to give guidance and advice, and Paul's teaching system is clear and effective. It has produced champions and personally has given me much greater belief and confidence in my abilities in the short time I have been training at PMT. I'm also the fittest I have ever been! PMT is an awesome place to get fit and have fun doing it, be social, or to train towards competing in the sport if that's your thing. If you are hesitating because you are unsure what Muay Thai is all about just come down and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I Love Pretty Muay Thai. Soon as I walked inside I was greeted by friendly faces, which is a huge relief!! Everyone is really helpful even if it means disrupting their own training. Someone will always help. Plus there is always a happy Frankie that is always glad to see you. I have learnt heaps since joining 9 weeks ago. It puts me in a good head space each training session. A great team environment I must say!! No regrets here!!

Fantastic experience: Between Paul and Frankie they run a really fun and professional gym for fighters, beginners and long term martial artists. I have been training under Paul for over 18 months now and there has never been a point when he wasn’t advancing as a coach and learning more to then teach on to us. He is very experienced and knowledgeable, that comes with his 20 pro fights and title. Frankie is always looking for ways to improve the experience for all of us too which is awesome to see her enthusiasm. Fantastic experience: I never thought any kind of combat sport would be for me until a friend called me and asked me to try Pretty Muay Thai back in December. I was hooked after my first class! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Classes are so much fun but my favourite thing is the community I have found within the gym. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming which is honestly not all what I expected from a fight gym! The fitness is a nice bonus as well! Whether you’re completely a beginner like me or if you’ve been training Muay Thai for years, I am so sure you will find something great here for you.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Pretty Muay Thai since Jan this year and am currently half way through their build a fighter challenge. I can honestly say that I have never found a gym that is so Welcoming and fun, I felt apart of the Pretty team/family so quickly. But that isn’t even the best part - the best part is that you also get amazing training from coach Paul and his coaching team Jessie and Paddy, I have been to a few fight gyms and nothing compares to the systems and processes that these guys teach and have a real focus on the “Why you are doing it”.
