Fantastic experience: Decent little pool for kids swimming in that surrounding, well maintained!

Positive experience: Overall, the staff and receptionist are great, but there are two female safeguards whose behavior is concerning. They are very rude and struggle to communicate effectively with children. Unfortunately, I don't know their names. I kindly request that you consider uploading your team’s names and photos on your website to make it easier for us to provide feedback about the right staff members. Additionally, it may be helpful to reduce their working hours or provide them with training. Yesterday, one of these female safeguard members misbehaved with my little boy.

Fantastic experience: i used to go to the junior gym in 2014, i only recently came back to lesire world thornlie, and i'm impressed and suprised about what they have done to the entire place, most of it brings back memories which is good but its good to see its still practically the same as it was when i was there, i go to the gym now its great there, the staff are cool and very patient, love it there

Positive experience: I attended the gym at 9 am. It was busy & a type of fitness class was happening at the same time, which was challenging for certain equipment. It's a small gym, so you do need to at times wait for equipment

Positive experience: The staff are exceptional, very helpful, and courteous. Unfortunately, on occasion, we had to wait for 45 minutes for the Disability accessible shower change room while two children mucked around inside. The staff were very obliging trying to find a solution. Great staff.

Positive experience: Good Local swimming pool, but too small for the area during weekend and specially during school holidays having swimming lessons and no where to swim because most of the lanes are reserved for lessons. Better to Avoid during school holidays.

Positive experience: Avoid swimming lesson times, its just too crowded and too chlorinated. Sometimes stuffy and humid. Squad swimming is now all direct debit instead of pay by the term which is annoying. Spa is closed from start of year until April... really?

Fantastic experience: Kids love to go there, friendly staffs, clean and a nice coffee shop. been there both in winter and hot summer.

Negative experience: I would like to see people actually following the swimming pool rules fast , medium,slow If you are walking don’t be in the fast lane if you can’t swim please practice in the slow or walking lanes I realize this can not be controlled by the staff I just hope others user’s will read this and think this could be me an consider others who want to swim laps consistently

Negative experience: Would not trust the life guards as they do no watch the kids on the slides. Very dangerous as iv seen a thu kids today almost get in a accident. I even ent up to tell the management and nothing happened. Big ups for the first life guard that we're actually doing there job. Can't say the same for the next two.

Negative experience: My request from the leisure world through the swimming pool is, please open the water slide earlier before 11 AM on weekends for kids. Weekends are the only days parents can spend time with kids. And kids love water slides. Please open it before 11 AM so kids can enjoy the swimming g pool.

Fantastic experience: Loved the thornlie pools, the lifeguards seem really tēnse not sure why but all in all the kids and I loved our day therr. We were there from 11am to 4.30pm, we only left because we seen the guards starting to pack up lol. The kids enjoyed the side too

Positive experience: Reasonable venue but the spa area is well overdue for an overhaul. Probably only 3 jets actually work well. Friendly staff.

Negative experience: Very poor hygiene level. Water disgusting dirty. It is hard to describe how bed situation is there. Hope my little one will be no ill .

Negative experience: The water in this pool is really filthy. It is not being cleaned properly! Their are chips floating around, bandaids everywhere and tiny particles of dirt thought the water everywhere you move. The pool by slide was the worst. I counted 4 bandaids in the slide pool and it was really murky.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place, Been going here for over 25 years. Staff are always friendly, lifeguards are always on duty and attentive and it's a good atmosphere most of the time.

Negative experience: We have been here for 2 years and the assessment teacher only let's the other children pass even thoe they can't even do freestyle my son can do breastbone but she doesn't let him pass!

Positive experience: Big clean pool, there's also a sauna, spa and steam room in the wellness suite. Cafe by d'pool is literally by the pool, nice affordable food. Very helpful staff at the front desk. There's also a gym and an aerobics room, many classes available.

Negative experience: The most unclean swimming pool in Perth in my opinion. I have been going to this place for over 11 years now. Last week I took my son for a swim and he got very sick afterwards. You could see the water was so filthy. They workers around the water don’t do proper job all lazy lads standing and talking to each other. They should check the cleanliness of the water every now and then to make sure it’s not unsafe for swimming. Idk how many other kids got sick that day. I won’t go back to this place ever again.

Fantastic experience: It's the best place that has all leisure facilities under one roof. My whole family enjoys our weekly swim classes there. The fees per lesson are very affordable.

Positive experience: Good little pool for kids, aqua aerobics, swimming lessons, and doing laps in the designated lanes. Their gym is a great, cheaper alternative with different levels of memberships that might be more suitable for your lifestyle. The gym isn't 24hrs. Opening hours are: Monday - Friday 5 am-9 pm Saturday - Sunday 7 am - 2pm

Positive experience: Facilities are close and convenient. I think the city of Gosnelss should improve and upsize to a bigger one. Maybe the olympic size?. The population of this council has grown for the last 10 years. And sometimes the swimming classes are packed

Negative experience: I came to the reception to get a gym membership, the lady totaly understands that english is not my native language, I ask about the prices, she gives me the information paper,I ask about the 2 weeks membership, she tells me something about the Credit card/ bank payment which I dont totaly understand because as I said, english is not my language, so I ask if I can pay cash and once again she looks at me like saying « you are the most stupid person I’ve ever seen » as she did when I started talking in english. I left, she judges me for not Having the most fluent english, I wonder How high is her french level

Positive experience: Great pool. Just not sure what's going on with the lighting or the slide. Slide never open Lighting cuts out frequently

Positive experience: The service from the staff was great, good amount of space to swim. The only downside was the showers and change table station was not convenient, trying to shower off and change a baby in a room full of people pushing past you was unpleasant.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been doing swimming lessons here for over 12 months & we love it. The swim teachers Sharon & Jana are fantastic. Plenty of parking and a decent cafe. My only want is that there were more family change rooms.

Positive experience: Has been a fabulous place for our children’s swimming. Highly recommend it. But for adult swimming or walking… there is always someone walking in the medium swim lane, an angry person in the walking lane and a speed swimmer in the slow lane . They are never asked to move by staff unless other swimmers ask staff to do something. But from watching… they seem to just give up and leave.

Positive experience: Pool was clean and nice but was only 90m. Rather Sauna & steam bath was small. But altogether with Gym & above services at one place, is a good option to opt specially when you are living nearby to Thornlie.

Positive experience: Pools were great. Not overly humid with a strong chlorine smell like they normally have so was a nice change. My 5yr old fell over and hit his head, nothing serious, but they were right on it. Life saver came straight over, check him over and then proceeded with an ice pack, coherency test and incident report.

Positive experience: Swimming pool family friendly from shallow pool to lane pool. Shallow pool is warm and converging to cold lane pool. Shallow pool predominantly kids friendly. There are also gym, spa, sauna and steam room perfect all rounder place for exercise. Place is well maintained, may due for modern make over else it’s perfect onestop exercise.

Fantastic experience: My son loved going to the swimming pool for his lessons as the swimming teacher and the staff is very freiendly and the coach do regular swim assessments to see where he is at and what he does need to work on

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff who are very helpful, clean gym, warm pool & awesome spa. Bathrooms are always clean just wet obviously with the pool there. Highly recommend if you need a gym + love a swim after

Positive experience: I seen the only lifeguard disappear into the office for a good 15mins. So if something was to happen who do you look for.

Positive experience: Needs to be cleaner please. I had to clean my own table and chairs before sitting down and feeding the kids before their swim.

Negative experience: Wow, Thornlie pool has improved. From being absolutely filthy during the Xmas school holidays with visible bits of rubbish floating around on the pool bottom, it now has only sand in the swimming lanes. Water temp is always good, around 32degrees. Main pool is 25m, & has 8 lanes, not very big & gets overcrowded when there're school swimming lessons/lap swimmers/general public -sometimes the rows over space can be "entertaining". -Staff, besides being a shining example of not cleaning the pool bottom, & surrounds (it takes years of neglect to achieve the ingrained grubby floor colour), are not proactive with supervision. Good thing the whole pool is under video camera surveillance. In addition to the nanny-cam supervision, when your gear is stolen, staff will track back to locate the thief & your missing gear. So helpful! Staff are also a good lesson to children on life's inequalities -where they are sometimes hot on children swimming in the wrong lane but are suddenly "absent/otherwise occupied" when an aggressive male is not only in the wrong area but also acting out/brutalising his child in both main pool & children's pool. Luckily, change rooms are consistent: always have something broken/not working (leaking taps, unuseable showers, jammed toilet flushers or blocked sinks). Shower stalls are too small to hang your bag inside on the solitary hook without it getting wet, unless you leave shower door partly open. -So good for baring all your bits & bobs & losing all shame. The shower stalls are also bare of any benches. However, there has been a wonderful improvement; the foul drain smell has gone. (Edit: Three weeks later, swings & roundabouts: the drains have returned to their normal foul smell, yet no blocked toilets/handbasins & all showers supposedly working!) Oh, extra bonus during heavy rain: swimming with raindrops; the roof leaks over main pool area. Millions must have been spent on this architecturally designed building & fancy roof-line that can't keep out inclement weather.

Positive experience: Encountered with a very rude staff member at front desk on my first day, put me off so much that i wanted to cancel kids class. And then i haven't had to deal with her again. The swimming teacher seems like they care unlike some in Cannington leasureplex. Not too crowded like Cannington leasureplex so kids can move around in the water without touching other people.

Fantastic experience: Great place to relax and wind down in the sauna, steam room or spa. That's all I need and use it for. I see alot of kids there having fun and enjoying the experience aswell. Great staff too. Thanks for your services and keep up the great work.

Positive experience: I just moved to the area and was excited to see I lived so close to the swimming pool! The pools are great, HOWEVER the changing/showering/locker facilities are really bad. I was hoping to be able to go for a swim before work in the morning but with rubbish showers, no hairdryers or mirrors or any private change rooms with seating I think that's not going to work for me. This place desperately needs a renovation, and the layout is a little strange too, the change rooms are a bit of a walk from the pool - just felt a little disjointed in my opinion. Hopefully they have an upgrade in the pipeline as it's such a shame it's so run down and not upto modern standards. A little more care/attention and friendliness from reception staff wouldn't go amiss either - I told her I was new and then had to ask where everything was, would have hoped she would have heard I was new then explained where the change rooms/lockers are but that's just great customer service which I think is a little lacking this morning unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: I had my son’s 11th birthday here! It was an amazing experience with great customer service and amazing team who made the day soo much easy and full of fun for the kids. Everything was all organized by the amazing team. If you looking for easy and fun and less hassle I definitely recommend this place for birthday parties

Negative experience: Promise charging more than other leisure which is limited time but I called to riverton leisureplex they got unlimited time and no need booking

Negative experience: City of Gosnells, I am newish to this area and found your Thornlie pool good but not great. It is so shallow there is no deep end to excercise in. I know this can't be changed but come on can't you speed up the proposed swimming pool for canning vale / southern river and will it have a deep end? The are no gyms nearby that have swimming pools either. Nearest pool with a semi deep end is Riverton, can't determine which one is closer. Whilst on the subject take a leaf out of the Broome St Highgate puppy park and get us some more dog parks with trees and particularly doggy drinking fountains for the summer at Brookland Greens park.

Fantastic experience: Love this swimming pool it is clean - the cafe here is quite nice and clean. It can get busy sometimes in the pools during the week - the renovations has made a difference to the place

Negative experience: Great pool & sauna. But staff always busy on phone and have to queue very long . Very staff not friendly. Very rude & argumative

Negative experience: I am happy with the physical aspects of the place, and the food at the cafe is excellent. The problem here is that if you ever have any personal safety, verbal harassment or physical harassment happen to you, it needs to be dealt with by the police. Some staff do not communicate amongst each other, don't follow the appropriate policies (duty of care) and in my circumstance, have you leave the establishment rather than deal with the offender. I have been victim blamed here, and even after there was CCTV proof of me being harassed, there was no record on the system of anything happening. I'd like to clearly state that all lifeguards have been absolutely amazing and I thank them immensely for this. However, specifically supervisor Kylie is extremely condescending, and dismissive, I've never seen another human being care so little about another who has just gone through a traumatic experience. This is a COMMUNITY and FAMILY centre. More CCTV should be added closer to the spa area, and lifeguards should check on that area much more often, as they rarely do so. With improved safety precautions this place could become an excellent centre.

Fantastic experience: Easily accessible and good parking. Pools are clean and well-attended.

Positive experience: Reasonably priced with spa sauna and gym plus classes. Pool is only 25m but rare for it to ever be crowded especially outside of summer and school holidays etc. Good staff.
