Fantastic experience: Great gym

Negative experience: Terrible customer service in regards to payments. Will not make you aware of the requirements upon signup. Never told me I was required to have funds in account a whole 24 hrs BEFORE payment is due and charge you 14.95 the second there is a problem with the payment with no courtesy email. Refuses to refund the unfair penalty fees.

Fantastic experience: I am not normally a gym person but I was looking for a change. I visited Genises for their 7 days of free sessions and did a variety of activities to see if I was going to like it. I really enjoy the coaching Zone expecially with the heart zone match as it shows me my performance level. The reformer pilates has also been beneficial for my balance and stretching my body. Plus developing my inner muscles. I originally signed up for 3 months but changed it to a yearly membership. There is so many classes you can join in and times to suit most people.

Fantastic experience: Genesis were instrumental in returning power to my home during the cyclone Kirrilee and recently replaced an air conditioner, job was done in a couple of hours, the tradies were on time and very professional. Thanks again

Negative experience: Gym facilities are good, lots of machines etc. Space for parking etc. Dealing with admin has been very difficult though. Tried twice to cancel membership (member since 2018) when leaving and no real assistance given. Form was left unprocessed for week.

I love the new gym considering it is still settling into their new home. Stop taking the fact that there isn't a bubbler to heart. anyone with a brain would ask the staff to fill it up for them. peace out #gettingfitwiththebest

Fantastic experience: Great Gym. My old gym moved and I wasn’t keen on starting at a new gym at all. Went and spoke to the team at Genisis Thuringowa, they set me up with a free 7 day trial so I could see if I liked the place before committing. Great gym, always clean, staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and all the members have been great as well. Really happy with the change, and enjoying the facility.

Negative experience: Decent gym, clean and good equipment, but they blast their music way too loud. Between the hours of 4pm-7pm there is a class that controls the music for the whole gym, turning it up to uncomfortable and possibly unsafe levels. I go to the gym with noise canceling headphones and can't hear my audiobooks unless I turn the volume to unsafe levels and even then I only just hear it over their music. I've talked to the front desk before and been brushed off saying it motivates people. Hearing damage shouldn't be a motivator, you are there to get healthy not lose your hearing.

Fantastic experience: I love this Gym, and Im the type that can get turned off pretty quickly. I love the staff, they're very friendly and knowledgable. It's been many years since i've been to the gym due to working commitments and family life. So joining again was a little daunting for me. New machines that I haven't used before were intimidating, but the staff helped build my confidence in how to use them and not injure my self in the process. I love the separate woman's section, they're days where i want to do squats and showing my cheeks :) is uncomfortable in the opens sections so the women's section is perfect. Lots of variety, lots of machines so there is always machines available, there is classes as well.The creche is great, my little girl loves going there. There's showers, Toilets, and a selfie mirror for your progress with privacy. I highly recommend this Gym. Ive been going for 6 months so that says something. Looking forward to my next session.

Having the exercise Phys on site as well means I can exercise while my daughter is supported by the exercise phys. Highly recommend this gym and its staff to all the special needs community and everyone

Fantastic experience: A review what is a review it is one prisons experience with some thing or someone or a business in this case a business GENESIS JIM WILLOWS I had been with the Willows Jim for some six ( 6 ) years I seen a lot of staff and members come and go but my overall experience was positive yes there were times some of the equipment was broken some times for a wile overall was in good shape some of it ageing but still working as was intended I found there was plenty of machines well-spaced so as not to crowd out the next one plenty of weights but I think what made this Jim for me was the staff always friendly and helpful if not under exercise instruction and you asked a question or how to use a piece of equipment no problem for them so I don’t think it comes any better but I will see as I had to move along so an other chapter of my journey through life begins

Positive experience: Good staff, good machines, good cleaning staff, bad maintenance team. Water leaks, roof panels falling down, walls have damage from 2 years ago still.

Negative experience: Gym layout and resources are average yet the equipment is old and dirty with weights that look like they haven't been cleaned or properly racked up in 5 weeks. Saying this improvement will occur if equipment and the building undergo renovations.

Positive experience: Best thing about this gym is the creche, creche staff are very patient and supportive. Worst thing is the gym have cut back two of the morning creche sessions which makes the first session very busy and difficult to get spots for your children.

Positive experience: Just wanted to say thank you for all the support from the team at Genesis Thuringowa. This included working out the best payment to giving me advice on the best programs for my needs. Can I also say that Carolina, the Pilates instructor provided a skilled level of support and knowledge that only comes from a person that has a passion for what she does, and as such has encouraged me to keep on a path to good health, thanks again.

Fantastic experience: I joined Genesis Fitness a few years ago because of the convenience of having two clubs in Townsville and five in Cairns. Very spacious and quality equipment. But what the clincher was for me is the warmth and friendliness of all the staff from the management down. Such a great gym with 24 hour access. I could not be happier Thank you Jean Townsville

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to Genesis by my sister. She was already a member & gave me a 5 day free pass to go along & try. In those 5 days, I attended 3 different classes that the gym offers & enjoyed every minute of them. When the pass was up, I decided to join as the staff were friendly & welcoming, it's 24hrs & I felt comfortable working out. All in all, I'd recommend Genesis highly.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Genesis in Thuringowa for just over two years now. The people and atmosphere are the sole reason I stay. There is no other gym like it.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Genesis for a few months now and the atmosphere and people there are amazing. The equipment is a bit old but the majority of it works as it should and it includes a vast array of equipment and a wide range of dumbbells and barbells for you to utilise when training!

Fantastic experience: The perfect place for a new mumma to take some ‘me time’ and work on her fitness! The friendly staff, large array of machines, equipment and classes accomodate the flexibility required when little ones are involved. Can’t rate the crèche highly enough! It’s the supportive environment I needed to get my groove back.

Fantastic experience: The customer service when i went in was fantastic. I am a fitness passport holder and was treated like a full paying customer. The gym was immaculate. The customer service was even better. I will now be going to Genesis instead of my normal Gym.

Fantastic experience: Every time you walk in, greeted by smiles and friendly staff, with every piece of equipment you need, I was even given a bottle, bag and towel on sign up which i appreciate, very spacious gym including the bathroom even, great drink varieties at the door, refereed by a friend and wish i did sooner:)!

Fantastic experience: Walking in you are greeted by friendly faces and an atmosphere that is very welcoming. Being a new comer to any sort of gym I was surprised at how immediately comfortable I was. Would recommend to all and as mother their creche is exceptional. My son, who has never been to any sort of day care, adjusted immediately and literally fell asleep in one of the ladies laps. If that's not a comfortable gym I don't know what is.
