Negative experience: Would give this place a zero if I could. Terminated my membership and couldn't prove in the terms and conditions where I 'breached'. Would rather block you and terminate your membership than deal with harassment by other gym members

Positive experience: Great gym, easy to get workout done

Negative experience: New renovations literally made the gym worse the chest benches are now so bad and literally so close to a pole which interfere, they removed the most overpowered back exercise the Supprted T Bar row and added a weaker mini version terrible gym Hydepark Muscle >>>>

Positive experience: Muscle and Fitness in Kirwin has updated the women's fitness upstairs to have rubber matting in the weights section and new composite floors under the new treadmills. Looks and feels snazzy! A great improvement I prefer Kirwin location because of the upstairs ladies' gym and the cooler temperatures for me to work up a sweat in. I like the less-overwhelming feeling of this gym compared to all the tall ceiling gyms.

Negative experience: Georgia the manager of muscle and fitness is absolutely disgraceful to the company. She's rude, unsettling and nasty. You ask her for help and she just directs you to an email of the owner because she can't do her job.

Fantastic experience: Incredible gym with every piece of equipment that I can personally think of. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Niche layout which I find better than your standard open warehouse gym.

Negative experience: Dust all over the equipment! Rude staff! James gives out personal information to his friends there. Not a pleasant place. Recommended not to come here.

Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly the greet you when you come in and on the way out. I love the fact there is a separate area for women upstairs and a private room for classes. Equipment is pretty good and is maintained regularly and fixed reasonably fast. Pricing is reasonable and they offer discounts at certain times of the year and also for members who renew. I paid $510 for a year, pricing difference from the other gym I was quoted $1200 for the year and the equipment and experience was about the same. Love the fact they have drinks for sale etc. Great value friendly people. Great atmosphere

Positive experience: Good gym in Kirwan , good range of equipment , a lot of it is very old but hey it's how you use it that matters I guess , 24 hour is great for those who can't get there during the day , it used to be the cheapest weekly membership but Jetts at thuringowa is now so I'm a member of Jetts now , it's less crowded than muscle& fitness during the day as well and has a Coles supermarket right nextdoor to get food after your workout . Muscle and fitness is still good though if you like to look in the mirror a lot and put up with really smelly young adults

Positive experience: Attention all fitness passport holders this gym no longer uses the scan in system that they previously used and all other participating gyms use. Knowing your fitness passport membership number is no longer enough as they want the additional number under the barcode of your card. If you do not have this number you have to pay $7 as a casual member.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, well equipped and fun cardio classes. Just in Townsville for a couple of weeks and this gym was perfect. Casual prices very reasonable and James was very friendly and extremely helpful. Members were also very friendly and I felt very welcome. Will definitely be back when I'm in Townsville again.

Positive experience: Big gym, machines are a bit old and rickety.. a few passive aggressive (with poor spelling) signs around the place unnecessarily. Staff seem quite nice but no one roaming on the floor. Overall fine for the price.

Fantastic experience: there are 2 levels, upstairs is the ladies separate area and a adjoining room with fitness classes run via video. Downstairs is the mixed fitness & weights area. The have a range of fee structures from 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 15 months or walk in casual.

Fantastic experience: Solid Gym. Has everything you need. Awesome now it is 24 hours. Great spot with easy parking. Staff are great that have some great music on when training mid week at night time. A little rock just makes it so much easier for the work out.
