Negative experience: I’m writing this review out of deep frustration and concern, to warn other parents considering the swim program at Toowoomba Grammar Aquatic Centre. My daughter, who has prior swim experience, was initially placed in the Seahorse level to build her water confidence, even though she performed well during her trial. I accepted that decision in good faith, understanding that a new environment might require some adjustment. But after closely observing her lessons, it became apparent that she has met the expectations for her current level by achieving 100% in two out of three milestone areas and scored 90% in the third—falling just 10% short in head position by end of this term. Yet, despite this strong performance, she is being held back in the same level for another term. That in itself is frustrating and makes little sense. What’s worse, and frankly unacceptable, is the explanation that she cannot progress because the next level (Seal) is full. To withhold advancement from a capable child purely due to space limitations is nothing short of ridiculous. It sends the message that even if your child is ready, they may still be forced to stagnate because of the logistical issues. This kind of decision-making is deeply disheartening. It disregards the child’s actual ability and effort and undermines the core purpose of any developmental program, to support and foster individual growth. Parents deserve full transparency when enrolling their children. They should know that at this swim program, class availability, not skill or readiness, may ultimately decide their child’s path. That is simply not acceptable. I hope this review prompts serious reflection and change, so no other child has to experience such an unfair setback.

Positive experience: It’s a lovely centre but the parking situation is just ridiculous!! Carpark is constantly full and a nightmare to try to get a park.

Fantastic experience: We take our boys to the Toowoomba Grammar Aquatic centre for learn to swim classes and they love it. The staff are always friendly and the swim instructors are fantastic. Highly recommend this facility.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here now for over two years and have found the swim teachers to be very experienced. They have a main pool as well as a secondary pool that is heated which is great for the kids all year round. Both pools are inside as well. We can throughly recommend the Grammar Aquatic Centre

They are friendly and build great trust and relationships with the kids they teach. After trying numerous different swim schools Toowoomba Grammar Smashes all expectations. The facilities are clean and so friendly for the kids and families.
