Negative experience: Terrible service! They didn't respect my freezing period and made multiple debits from my account. I'm still waiting for my money back, and the manager is laughing at me.

Negative experience: I have been a loyal member since 2021, but my experience with Fitness First has been extremely unprofessional. Cameron, in particular, has handled my concerns terribly. There was no signed contract for my membership—just a screenshot of some sentences Cameron claimed I agreed to. I was never informed about a 4-week notice period when I signed up, which is misleading and unacceptable. Despite my repeated emails and attempts to resolve the issue, Cameron mostly ignored me. The one call I received was barely 5 seconds before being hung up. It’s clear there was no genuine attempt to communicate, and it feels like they were hoping I would give up. This treatment is childish and unprofessional. I will never join Fitness First again, and I strongly advise anyone considering membership to think twice.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym and would go again! A lot of machines covering all types of exercises. All of them are clean and neat. Lockers have electronic locks which is a plus. Some of the gym equipment might need some repairs but overall, great experience!

Fantastic experience: A huge 3 level prestige gym that attracts some of the best group fitness instructors. The absence of a climbing wall seems like a missed opportunity though, given all that vertical space.

Negative experience: Agree with other comments here about never any locker cards available to guests. They say it’s due to a limited number never being returned and yet I’m unsure why they don’t order more? Surely cards cost 10c each when bought in bulk and it’s such a simple service to offer customers for peace of mind. Never had this problem at any other FF club.

Fantastic experience: Sofia at the front desk deserves a pay increase ! Remembers me on a first name basis. Greets with a smile and says “Hello George” when I enter. Negative experience: For a gym that is solely corporate city folk, how do not have WiFi in the dungeon you call weights room I'm on call majority of the time, and I need connectivity so I can recieve the notifications im supposed to respond too Also means I can not sneak off during lunches, cause I can't not monitor emails Fanks

Negative experience: Some of the girls at the reception have a toxic attitude and can be both jealous and biased. There are too many personal trainers.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for a few years now and as a weightlifter (Olympic lifts) Bond St gym is one of the best in Sydney. Due to changes in circumstances, I had to cancel my membership and the staff (Sandrine) was extremely accommodating and understanding. I will certainly come back in a year time!

Fantastic experience: Excellent and friendly service from Sofia who helped me with day passes on my 2 week vacation here in Sydney, making it super easy for me to check in regularly. The gym is pretty massive with 3 floors and good range of equipment, huge kudos also for the rows and rows of squat racks on the bottom floor. The gym does get busy at odd times, but the clientele is focused on training and getting out of there, very little peacocking.

Positive experience: Probably the biggest fitness first in Sydney, it is so spacious with lots of machines and squat racks. Even when crowded there is not much waiting. Really like this gym with great selection of machines. Only really annoying thing is that there is no service once you're downstairs, and wifi is only available... Upstairs. So useless.

Negative experience: The other day I took my colleagues with me to join in on a day of my workout plan. One of them was new to the gym but being a credited former S&C coach I was more than comfortable to introduce her to some exercises in my workout that she was willing to try with a weight range that suited her. During our third exercise we were interrupted by Amy who was the apparent “PT Manager” (which I find hard to believe after our interaction) who asked if I was delivering a PT session. I told her I wasn’t and tried to explain that it was pretty much the opposite and my colleagues were actually joining me for my workout, but she wouldn’t give me a chance to speak, instead interrupting and lecturing me about how I shouldn’t be helping them. She asked for our full names and membership cards, (however did not want to provide her full name in return when we filled a report about her later). She said she hadn’t seen me do a single exercise (CCTV footage would disagree), begun yelling at us, “shushing” us and then told us bluntly to “shut up”, called me a “failed PT”, refused to leave us alone and then told my colleagues that they “definitely LOOK like they need training”, WHILE training her own client. To top all of this off, I found out that this was not the first time she’d done this. I found multiple other reviews both from this gym, and from the previous gym she was a PT at, where she did almost the exact same thing to other members. I’d be happy to supply these reviews as well if it will help. I was extremely upset at first but I’m leaving this post here and following up with higher management because people like this set the poor example for others in the industry who are trying to make it a better place. I believe she harassed us because she was intimidated by someone who actually knew what they were doing and was more accomplished than her which is really sad. My colleague told me afterwards that she doesn’t ever want to go back to the gym because of how Amy made her feel, and she was in tears because of it. Fitness First, if you have any compassion for your clients and love for the fitness industry, you will take action against Amy since this clearly isn’t her first (and probably not her last) time doing this and she will continue to set a poor example for trainers and clients alike - the misinformation and barrier to entry for gym goers is already so high, we don’t need people like this making it worse. If you’ve had a similar experience with Amy please I encourage you to come forward and let your voice be heard, otherwise nothing will be done about vile behaviour like this.

Fantastic experience: The gym is big and has all equipment you need for a good workout. Plenty of studios and exercise areas. Shower area is also large and comfy. The best part has been Matthew at reception. He has been superb at responding to all my requests promptly. Not to mention how kind and friendly he’s been. Fantastic experience: The best Fitness First I have been so far in Sydney with three floors of quality equipment that's conveniently spaced and gives plenty of room to move around. I also love that cleanliness is constantly maintained in the changing rooms and showers. Usually gets busy around lunch time though, but there's enough equipment for everyone!

Negative experience: With the CBD now getting so busy post pandemic, I cannot understand why this gym cannot open on the weekends. It would make PERFECT sense to turn Bond St into a 24 hour gym, and NOT the one on George Street ... COMMON GUYS !!!

Fantastic experience: Clean and very nice staff.
Negative experience: This could be one of the best FF gyms I’ve been to, but sadly it is closed on the weekend. I don’t get that, gains can still be made on Saturday and Sunday. Open it on the weekend and I’ll put 5 stars. I do enjoy the lifting platforms, but the chalk bowls are always empty.

Fantastic experience: Bond Street is a great gym - you just need to choose the right times to go. It's a massive space (three levels) with pretty much every piece of equipment you could need but it gets very, very busy during peak periods (lunch time and after work). It's still worth going during those times but you'll enjoy it a lot more if you're able to go mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Haven't been early morning for the longest time so can't comment on that. It's also not open on weekends unfortunately.

Positive experience: Great gym that is spacious over two floors. I like going to this gym sometimes because some of the equipment here is not at my local FF (curved treadmill, stairmaster, etc.) However it can get quite crowded at times so I tend to go later in the evening.

Negative experience: Not nice people to do business with. After being a member for 15 years they need you to give them a months notice to cancel, make a special appointment and other convoluted processes to make it harder than necessary to cancel. Good writtens
Fantastic experience: Started with the PT Ash Evans (SmAsh Active) about 3 months ago, she is the absolute best. Previously I have had PTs who I felt never really listened to me and my concerns but Ash is the absolute best and I am looking and feeling so much better. If you are looking for a great PT I recommend Ash :)
Fantastic experience: Most cost effective and amazing facilities provided here. I love the group sessions which come in various timing and best trainers, costs all inclusive. Great atmosphere to break a sweat, must try the boxing sessions.
Negative experience: Overall not great! 1) bad customer service with rude and unfriendly staff . At times I’ve seen them be disrespectful towards customers. 2) the fact they charge a 7 day membership for that you can only access this gym only over week days and no weekends but yet they bill you for it. 2) overall this gym is huge and can understand why people use this gym and has some good trainers and they can be helpful if you need one. However I noticed that some trainers bully other customers off of the gym equipment they are currently using so then they can hog it for long extended periods of time . I noticed the poor person get bullied. That training held the equipment for another training right after then stopping the poor person using the equipment. On the other side of the gym they have more of same equipment they could of used I don’t understand why they do this I’ve noticed it from time to time they can be extremely pushy about sharing equipment an especially when that person hadn’t been using it for long. 3) overpriced and extremely busy so I won’t be going back 4) gym equipment is falling apart and never gets replaced . I know this gym just had a big renovation but it looks like it needs another one with all the fittings falling apart as well , especially the lockers . 5) over all it’s okay but I don’t know if I would recommend
Fantastic experience: Best gym in the city. The amount of machines is amazing. Most of the equipment is in good condition. Plenty of space and rooms to work out. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: Only in Australia for a few weeks, but with the help of the staff, I have a membership so I can keep on top of my strength fitness. Plenty of equipment/stations. Changing rooms offer plenty of lockers, etc. Highly recommend. Extra shout out to Stephen, who guided me through the process with a great sense of humour.
Negative experience: Phoned them in July to freeze my membership which they said they would do. I didn't bother checking they had done it, so when I saw charges still coming through on my bank statement I called them again to see what was happening. They said they had no record of the membership freeze. They wouldn't refund the payments so I cancelled my membership. If you have anything to do with Fitness First, make sure to ask who you are speaking to and make sure you get a confirmation email.
Fantastic experience: I love going to the Bond Street gym. All the equipment you need spread over three levels. The group instructors are great too, so even if you're not 100% feeling it they will have more than enough enthusiasm to make sure you get the most from the class.
Negative experience: This place is good if you want to workout in a relatively quiet place. It lacks quite a few machines compared to others. I asked if the staff go round keeping it tidy and I got the answer no we make announcements for members to put the equipment back wich is obviously not working . For a staff member it wouldn't take much for them to go round a few times a day the keep it tidy and safe from trip hazards. On the plus side you don't get the normal ego buffheads and look at me chicks videoing themselves for what ever social media platform they are on.

Positive experience: Great gym, however it would be really nice if they put some effort into fixing up the showers. There are lots of broken doors, no shower heads, broken soap holders... This is not platinum level at all. It's been like this for a long time now and looks like there is no intention of improving them.
Positive experience: The gym is clean and most of the time tidy too. It would be great to see some old boxing pins bags replaced with new ones and the return of the scales. At the moment, not too many people are around and it makes the place more pleasant.
Positive experience: I work in the city and have tried the various Fitness First centers, Bond St is my preference. Reception are friendly and always greet you with a smile. The layout and equipment provide a good work out experience. I didn't have a great PT experience when I first became a member in 2019 (at another Fitness First) so I was very careful selecting a PT here. Hal has been fantastic, he listened to my pre-existing issues and developed an appropriate program. I have appreciated his attention to detail and form, and his patience with explaining everything to me until I finally get it right.
Fantastic experience: Good gym with 11 proper weightlifting bumper weights and platform (yes you can drop these weights!) The trainers leave you alone which is a plus!

Fantastic experience: The best fitness first gym I have been to so far! 3 floors, really spacious, plenty of equipment, always clean and tidy and the weights are always in order which is great. The staff are always really friendly on reception and in the gym. The bottom floor has great space for boxing / bag work, sled pushes and x2 great weight areas. The equipment is always in working order. Keep it up!

Negative experience: Mind your manners as a receptionist (s) : Marco and a guy with curly hair, don’t be quite when some customers asked a question, at least you give your loyal customer with a genuine “smile”
Negative experience: Every time me or my family members deal with Fitness First, we realise that the organisation is focused on draining as much as money as possible from members. After many years of being signed up to this gym, I have noticed a culture of enforcing legal terms and conditions on customers. The thick contracts are rigged with a variety of terms and conditions that protect the organisation against the customer. You need to leave? Oh, surprise! Don’t forget to pay $X. Your contract expired? Oh, you didn’t give us a cancellation notice. So now you need to pay $X. All of this is included between the lines in the agreements, yes, but the only way a customer can keep track would be to memorise the agreement in detail and prepare well in advance to prevent the money-grab. We will never sign up to this gym again. It is not the kind of organisation that we would like to support.
Positive experience: One of my favourite gym's. They can improve the shampoo and body wash in the showers. Classes are okay and some coaches are really nice.
Negative experience: A huge place to do exercising ... love it but their stuff are not friendly especially the guy with a curly hair + Marco, Matthew and Danny are Da best !!!

Fantastic experience: One of the nicest fitness first gyms in sydney I reckon. Huge variety of equipment, very spacious, and has 3 floors. The only thing is that it gets very busy during peak hours so you might have to wait to use an equipment you want

Fantastic experience: THE place to go if you are a gym junky. Everything you could possibly ask for in one place, except a pool. Three levels of incredibly bulk amounts of equipment. You will never have to wait for anything!
