Negative experience: Music too loud and I can't take videos of my exercises that I have to send to my coach (being careful that if someone appears in the video they're ok with it), it doesn't make sense

Positive experience: Good gym most of the time, have to pick your times though. Recently there's been a wave of teenagers who loiter around machines in groups for long periods of times. Also getting sick of never being able to go into the bathroom to change out of my work clothes without there being sometimes up to 6-7 kids in there hanging out, vaping, and taking shirtless pictures.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re currently taking a more proactive approach with our teenage members to ensure the gym remains an enjoyable and respectful environment for everyone.
While we love seeing young people off the streets, working out, and improving themselves, we’re also helping them understand that the gym is a shared space and teaching the importance of respect for others.
To maintain a safe and positive atmosphere, we’ve also made the decision to restrict unsupervised minors or non-members from calling into the facility.
We have also implemented strict rules on them to ensure no vaping or playing around in the facility or they will be banned.
If you do have further issues please come see us at the desk during these times and we can deal with the matters accordingly.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym! As someone new to working out, I was a bit nervous, but this gym has been incredibly welcoming from day one. The staff are kind, supportive, and always happy to help. Fantastic experience: My personal opinion, best gym in Cairns, full range of machines all of great quality, large selection of free weights with a nice amount of benches to use, squat and power racks and cables machines. Rarely have to wait to get your workout in as you do in other gyms. Enough machines hitting different body parts to always keep you occupied. It’s always clean, great atmosphere / vibes and from my experiences always friendly / welcoming staff. 5/5

Negative experience: Mixed Experience at 1 Million Strong – Honest Review I'll start with the positives. The gym equipment is generally decent. They offer some niche machines like the machine lateral raise, which is a nice touch. However, they're missing some essential pieces, like the seated hamstring curl. Overall, they have most of what you'd need for a solid workout—but not without a few issues. I've had occasional run-ins with staff, and I know others who've had similar experiences. Over the past year, they've increased their prices by $5 per week—a significant $260 annual jump. One would expect upgrades to justify the cost, but the only noticeable change has been adding cooling to the water dispenser. In my opinion, that doesn’t warrant such a steep price hike. It feels like they're trying to compete with bigger chains like World Gym, but without the facilities or infrastructure to match. Now onto my main concern. I had signed up for a year in advance. About a month before my membership was due for renewal, they began spamming me daily with messages urging me to renew. It became so frustrating that I eventually silenced their number. Then, a few months later, they charged a $20 “behind-the-scenes” fee, supposedly in lieu of a "no sign-up fee or hidden costs". This is misleading, as there is a $50 sign-up fee for the key tag. Because their number was silenced, I missed the message about the new fee, and my automatic payment (which was set up only to cover the usual weekly charge) didn’t include the extra $20. Their attempt to withdraw the full amount failed, and I was hit with an additional $10 fee because of the declined payment. This left a really bad taste in my mouth. I’ve never missed a payment before, and I feel penalized for something that wasn’t properly communicated and wasn’t my fault. Frankly, I’d be willing to reconsider or even remove this review if the $10 charge is reversed. Sorry, 1 Million Strong—but this experience really disappointed me, and it’s why I’m writing this review.

Yes we get the constant reminders are annoying but we have that setup automatically to remind our members that their yearly membership will end soon so they don’t get a shock if they try gain access & are denied due to a expired account.
Our annual fee has been charged at the same time every year for the past few years. It is not a hidden fee as we alert all our members before the charge comes out.

Negative experience: $50 non refundable for key pass. You must be signed up for a minimum of 4 weeks so yes there are hidden fees and an unofficial contract ... 2 stairs masters, also not very big space.

Positive experience: I like it ...the equipment is good showers for men can be an issue when it's crowded I have had to wait a few times, plus need more hooks especially in the showers as at the moment I have to hide my stuff and leave it out on a small bench at the mercy of anyone who wants to have a quick look

And you misheard the manager when he said we are “unstaffed” not understaffed.

Fantastic experience: Visiting while on holiday and I must say that I picked what I feel is the best gym in Cairns. I love the convenience of the location which is located near plenty of other shops including grocery making the area a one stop shop! Not only do they have the very best of equipment and plenty of it but the place is so freaking clean. And the staff, my highest regards to both Amber and Simon who have been nothing but great!! Perfect gym for first time goers up to elite athletes. Oh, and did I say no contracts!!! What are you waiting for, get your butt in the gym already!! ❤️

Positive experience: Good gym but the music is unbearably loud and usually not the best selection of music. Not even noise cancelling headphones work at blocking it out, could easily be turned down 50% for those who do want to listen to it and be a great gym!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I’ve been to, lots of equipment and space, and the fact that you don’t have to sign a contract is brilliant. They ask you stay a minimum of 3 weeks and come in person to cancel, which was fine as we were planning on staying in Cairns for around 3 months. However, we ended up having a bad car accident and had to leave cairns early, after only 2 weeks. When we called up to cancel and explain that we couldn’t come in in person, they were very understanding and let us cancel early, which was really really appreciated. In short- very friendly staff and fantastic gym.

Fantastic experience: Neat and tidy with a variety of machines and equipment. Sign up was super easy compared to others & far less “in your business” with what information is collected. Cancellations at this gym are instant as long as you’re doing so 3+ weeks after your original sign up. No waiting weeks on end while being charged! And at under $15 a week, no lock in contract, what more could you ask for? Staff were friendly, professional and informative. I would recommend

Some staff felt unapproachable but Georgina is an absolute gem and asset to this business: Wow ….she went out her way for us and her service and friendliness is just second to none. She is just the bomb. Loved this gym and would rate it right up there on top of the gyms I’ve ever visited.
Positive experience: Great staff and equipment, but the music is weird and way too loud.
Negative experience: Went there recently; the staff were super rude and seems very sketchy stuff going on there, would not recommend going. Would rather do a band workout at home and it snap and break on my face. Good luck lol

Positive experience: Equipment is left broken for months, good gym but can’t recommend with the broken equipment. Two of the stair machines have been broken for over a month Leg curl machine broken Elliptical machine broken Pec fly broken One of the cable racks is broken

Fantastic experience: Inclusive energised atmosphere with staff who greet you like an old friend who's returned home. All walks interact, and I have never seen more warrior legs in my life, very motivating.

The staff are incredible and go out of their way to provide the best service possible. I drive half an hour each way, passing a number of gyms, just so I can train here. Clean, great staff and just a top notch gym.
