Fantastic experience: When I found ISPP I wasn't comfy or confident in a gym or with knowing what to do, even though Ive been in gyms for years, but I knew I wanted to do something and get strong. Ive been here a few months now, im not perfect with consistency but feel my strength improving, and Im feeling more confident. Pick this gym...do it for your health, longevity and independence. Do it so when you need to lift a 50kg safe, and the shop staff are patronising about your ability to lift it, you know you can (or atleast are pretty sure...then prove yourself right!). Zero help needed. Do it so when you foster a 30kg puppy who thinks he needs help moving when life is scary, you can throw that baby over your shoulder. Do it so you dont need to rely on others. Do it because here you get support, help, advice and your surrounded by good people who dont care where your at, unless you need a hand or cheering on. There's no egos here, its a safe space no matter where you are at with lifting. When they say coaching is included, they mean it. Even when you dont think coach can see....some how he does Oh and then there is Mila ❤️ Really is THE best gym in Cairns, maybe even Australia....

Fantastic experience: I was on holiday in Cairns from New Zealand and was looking for a gym where I could get a week pass to keep up with my training while away. This place was perfect. Excellent equipment and a great vibe that made my gym back home feel like a ghost town by comparison. Even though I kept to myself most of the time, the community was welcoming, friendly, and approachable. It was really motivating to be surrounded by lifters who were pushing themselves, which helped me stay focused and train harder. I highly recommend anyone visiting Cairns on holiday to head over and get a one-week pass. You won’t regret it. If I ever come back to Cairns, I’ll definitely be training here again.

Fantastic experience: I’m currently on holiday in Cairns and wanted to find a gym with strongman equipment. Iron Strength did not disappoint. From filling out the online form, providing an affordable cost of a 7-day pass, to easily checking the available equipment using a QR code, the whole process of joining the gym was really smooth. Although I like keeping to myself during trainings, without a doubt there’s always a welcoming atmosphere and just looking around the room there are nothing but good vibes. I cannot recommend this gym enough! It reminds me of my gym back at home.

Fantastic experience: I cannot believe that this is my fourth week already! For the first time in my life, I cannot find any excuse to skip workout days! Almost six weeks ago, I saw Iron Strength’s website while I was desperately searching for a gym. I was impressed by five-star comments, but still was not sure how I would feel about it! I convinced myself just to see the gym and say hi! Thankfully I did! After having a conversation with Coach Elias, I decided to have technical assessment session to see where I am at. As I haven't done powerlifting before! During the session, I was really impressed of technical knowledge, teaching technique and patience of Coach Elias. As a beginner level powerlifter, it was amazing to know professional coaching and workout plan is included to membership. I think what Coach Elias and Jacks provide is beyond just coaching! The environment they have created is hard to explain with words! They always make sure that everyone and everything is ok! Vibe of the gym is super positive! I describe it as; Iron Strength members not only have big muscles also have big hearts! Whenever I visit, gym is super clean and well organized. Everyone is super lovely, respectful and supportive to each other! After a long day at work, walking into the gym, being greeted by Mila, saying hi to Coach E and Jacks, seeing Samson walking around with his cute smile on his face, working out in the same environment with beautiful people makes my day! I am on the fourth week of my workout plan, and I am impressed to see the progress and surprised to see what I am capable of! Looking forward to learning and improving my technique more. I think I am one of the privileged people who is in the right place for powerlifting and getting strong! Oh, I should add that, I really love Saturday strongman sessions! And I know there's no lock in contracts. I think I'd leave if only you kick me out! :))))

Fantastic experience: Strength Heaven! As a strength Athlete it's hard to find good quality gyms for powerlifting. But this gym does not only have a really good set up for Squat, Bench & Deadlift but also all the equipment for Strongman and all the Strength work you want to do. There is a wonderful community vibe, the whole place is always pristine clean and they literally have rows and rows of specialist equipment- it’s a powerlifting (or strongman/woman’s) haven!

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of trouble with my shoulder and Elias gave me the correct strengthening exercises that fixed it up more than a shot of cortisone could. I am in my 50's and felt completely comfortable in this gym. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I love it.

It is evident that the owners and staff are genuinely interested in helping people and put in the work to do this, which has rubbed off on many members and created an extremely positive training culture. Fantastic experience: Whether you’re into competitive Powerlifting, Strongman, Oly lifting or you’re a total beginner looking to get fitter and stronger for good health, Iron Strength Power and Performance is the place to be. Elias and Jacks have created an amazing gym environment where they know everyone by name and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Similarly, the community of members here are so friendly and supportive of each other, it’s not unusual to see the gym voluntarily come to a stop to offer encouragement whilst someone is going for a PB, no matter the amount of weight being lifted. Gyms can sometimes feel intimidating for people who are wanting to start their journey with strength training. That won’t be the case at Iron Strength. There are no mirrors around the gym and there will always be a coach walking the floor, keeping an eye on your technique and available to answer any questions you may have. There is plenty of high-quality equipment available, so you’ll have no problem getting your workout done, no matter how busy the gym is. If you are wanting a day away from the weights, there is everything you need for a good conditioning session and all the equipment is well maintained, clean and rightfully in its precise place (Thanks Jacks ) Lastly, a review of ISPP would not be complete without a mention of Mila, the official Member Consultant and resident gym dog. She is always waiting to welcome you through the door and makes herself available between sets for a pat on the head and a belly rub. So, if you are looking for a gym with a difference where you get value for money, where you will be guided and encouraged to reach your goals and where the owners truly value your business, I cannot recommend ISPP enough. Give it a go!

Fantastic experience: Jacks and Elias are simply the most kind and generous people! They go out of their way to make this gym a safe haven and family orientated atmosphere for all who visit. I have been apart of their community for roughly 3 years now (coming and going due to work schedule changes) and they have always welcomed me with open arms. They support, encourage and have an overwhelming passion for watching their lifters grow to be strong and confident in their ability to move in the gym. The facility accommodates for a range of training styles and although they have an outstanding powerlifting community/ team, ISPP accepts you for the athlete you are Their comps are next level and if you thrive off organisation and fiat competition, you can’t look any further than ISPP’s competitions. ISPP strive to build a community of good people and do not tolerate rudeness or disrespect of any sort, making it the friendly, non judgemental and unique environment it is. Fantastic experience: I've been a member of ISPP since 2018 and this gym is hands down one of the best independently owned training facilities I've had the pleasure of frequenting. The Iron Strength community fostered by owners Jackie and Elias is best in class. It is a welcoming environment for all - especially for new members, and despite it being a strength focused gym it is does not have an intimidating or elitest vibe at all. There is great equipment, pretty much everything you could need plus they work very hard to make sure that people of any fitness level, age, background and current ability can find a positive environment to help them achieve their goals as well as meeting some great people in the Iron Strength community. Members range from competitive powerlifters and strongman/woman competitors to people working on their general strength and fitness, I'd recommend this place to anyone!

We train religiously,very early, every work day, and as it turned out they did us a favour. We were accommodated with open arms. We absolutely love our new venue.The cleanliness and attention to detail of all the equipment is an absolute delight. Us old men also like the fact there are no mirrors in sight. Fantastic experience: If you are considering joining a strength gym then this is honestly where it’s at! I put it off for many years out of fear of not fitting in being a not fit 34 year old mother of young kids. But it’s been the best gym I’ve ever been to and so welcoming for people of all types. Everyone is so nice and it’s the least intimidating gym I’ve ever been to. No mirrors, kid and doggo friendly if you need to! There’s always someone there to help you if you need it and even if you don’t ask they’re watching to make sure you don’t accidentally hurt yourself. The equipment is amazing and so much of it, never wait for a squat rack or bench again! They keep the place so clean and tidy. If you’re on the fence definitely come give this place a go.

Fantastic experience: As a teenage female going to a new gym, I was quite scared as I did not have much experience in weightlifting. However as soon as I stepped foot into Ironstrength I was flooded with encouragement, support, new friends, and new opportunities. The staff are always willing to help out when struggling to either set up equipment, understanding excerises and even to just have a fat chat. Fantastic experience: Due to traveling with work I have been to heaps of gyms, but never one that equals Iron Strength in terms of a positive and friendly culture. The gym is always spotless and full of a wide range of strength and conditioning equipment.The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and approachable. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few of the different gyms around Cairns since moving here in 2017. Honestly iron strength is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been too. From the day you first join or go for a session you are welcomed into the gym. It’s feels way more like community of likeminded people than you’re average gym. Other gym goers are friendly and always up for a catch up or to say hi. The owners Elias and Jacks are great people who are very approachable and will happily help you out with any questions you may have. You get basic coaching when you join so there will always be a watchful eye on you ready to help fix your bad lifting form habits haha The gym has quality equipment ranging from the barbells and dumbbells to all the machines and even the lifting benches feel better than normal. Would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to get into lifting or just wants to get active, plus after a hard session you can get some rest pats in with the gym dog Mila

Fantastic experience: Jacky and Elias have created not just an amazing gym, but an awesome community. Every member here is supportive, helpful and always welcoming to newcomers. The gym is always super clean and tidy with plenty of equipment available to use even when busy. And there’s always a doggo somewhere to pat between sets!

Fantastic experience: Really awesome gym. It has EVERYTHING you need, and I mean everything. There is not a style of training that you can't do here. Elias is very friendly and helpful too and for the price, you really can't complain at all. Would recommend to all gym goers, new or experienced!

Fantastic experience: I was never a gym person until I came to Iron Strength. I always found it a chore to go and I was always so anxious that I would just avoid going most of the time. But since joining Iron Strength I go 3-5 times a week. They have created such a supportive and friendly environment and are always on the look out to make sure you are using correct form. Jacks and Elias are so welcoming and are always down for a chat aswell. Hands down best gym in cairns with the best coaching team.
