Negative experience: Went to sign up last week but I was put off by all the staff outside smoking in their uniforms right near the door. NOT a good look for the gym.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym ....bit older but lots of equipment and a huge space, Although when you join they should make a caveat that you have to re rack your weights because no one does

Positive experience: The space is huge, though the machines are old. Still, I’m really happy to come here—it’s miles better than Gold’s Gym in Japan. Gyms in Japan are practically kindergarten‑level by comparison.

Negative experience: Cancelling membership and still being charged and when calling to complain all they say is there’s no record of this happening and that they won’t give back the money.

Negative experience: Called up two months ago to cancel my membership as I moved to Brisbane. Been charged the entire time since then and was told no to reimbursement. Spoke to Jaime today about it, while I understand it was not her fault I am pretty shocked that no reimbursement was offered purely for the fact i couldnt name the person i spoke to two months ago. Not happy at all.

Negative experience: I paid 40 dollars for the key and in the moment they said that this money was refundable. I left Cairns and I didn’t have my money back I paid 40 dollars for nothing a total scam be carefull with this gym they stole your money.

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership and they made me hand back over my tag that I paid over $50 for. Unheard of where you have to purchase a product (gym tag) and then you don’t get to own it and they have a right to take it back to resell it again? My partner then cancelled his membership only for their staff to tell him to hold onto his tag in case he ever wants to re sign up! I had my membership on hold for over 6 months prior- so I haven’t even stepped foot in the gym, so there’s no reason to not want me back in the future. I have left with a bad taste in my mouth about this place now and want to warn others of this of this. I feel discriminated against.

Positive experience: Used to love coming to this place but I’m constantly finding myself sitting there waiting for equipment just to complete my session. Either due to not enough equipment, broken equipment or too many members. Sitting there 2-3 times for 20mins just waiting to use equipment is killing me. I shouldn’t have to re-invent my session everytime I go to the gym. Otherwise it’s my favourite gym but this problem is really starting to get on my nerves and I’m considering moving to another gym.

Positive experience: Great place to visit for casual, complete equipments and clean, I've been there, when I stuck around that area.

Positive experience: I gave them my details. They got my card, but the first payment was unsuccessful, and I needed to pay 10 dolar fee! That is not good!

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership a week ago still getting notified I owe 16.95 git told by staff they cant do the payment st desk it'll automatically come out there staff are are straight up lazy at the desk to accept the payments at the desk dont go unless you want a gym to put your account in debt

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the greatest gyms I’ve ever been to. 17$/Week (Soon 20). Still tho, no fees for starting subscription and no binding period. They have close to everything Hammer Strength has made

Negative experience: Old but plentiful equipment. Problem is hygiene male toilets broken for three day now bit of a tragedy at gym with this many members. Goes with general dirty feel. Since last post post steady improvements been made all around so that’s good. Now just hope they get to the treadmills only one works 100%.

Positive experience: 4 stars/5, please run aircon in the evening. Some fans are not running at all. i hope this is only temporary. Other than its a great place. Better than world gym for me.

Negative experience: Working out at the gym after hours feels like battling a sauna. No air-conditioning and all ceiling fans are off. Despite decent equipment, the stifling heat and lack of airflow make my workouts unpleasant and potentially unhealthy.

Positive experience: a bit to busy, but otherwise it's perfect

Negative experience: Please do make sure to prominently showcase your 'locals only' policy in your advertisement. It's definitely not discriminatory at all. Had I known about this policy beforehand, I certainly wouldn't have considered going there. It's such a welcoming approach.

Negative experience: Practically no airflow upstairs especially later on in the night, airconditioners are turned off after the busy period. The cardio area where people will sweat most and it makes no sense besides saving a quick buck ok electricity. Gym is too busy and is inadequately equipped between 5-6. You try going after the busy period but can't do cardio as effectively because no air-conditioning or airflow. Hot air rises so the upstairs cardio area becomes too hot and humid. *Update: Spoke to receptionist who said it's the centre management who controls the airconditioners. This response is inadequate as burger urge and every other shop in the centre is able to keep their airconditioners on until at least 9pm. Meanwhile, the hottest and most sweaty place can't? Doesn't make sense. Genesis is cheaper, has a pool, more equipment and can keep their airconditioners on. I'm out.

Negative experience: Really a disappointment wanting to join a gym and being rejected for being a Latin person (I know foreign people who attend but from Europe). They should put in their ads that it is a “locals” only gym just like they said to my face.

Positive experience: Price here is best compared to other. A lot of machines to use. Sometime it can get too crowded because of good price for membership. But music is way way way way too loud I wear headphones turn volume to maximum and still can’t beat sound from gym music their open. *if staff see my review can you consider lower the music volume please by half would be perfect for all of us. :)

Positive experience: Love working out here. Clean, mirrors, machines, cables, weights, cardio etc all great. The music is way too loud. It’s too loud for you to hear your own headphones. Majority of people at the gym listen to their own music, podcasts, etc, but it’s really infringed by the volume of the gyms music.

Fantastic experience: Large, super clean gym with heaps of equipment but the best part about the gym is the childcare service it provides. Without the childminding I wouldn’t be able to train so definitely a 5 star Gym. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Positive experience: 1year and a half ago I was a high school student and went to five star that my friend recommend to me but after few months having a overseas holiday while I was away in overseas and checking my bank account got reduced on my bank balance. I was wonder why? (Before went to holiday have a discussion over the phone with direct debit. Suppose to be cancel at current month and they change it to a month after) Then got back to cairns straight went to gym and confirm with the stuff and he said is the “direct debit” reduced your bank balance and keep saying it’s their problem and can’t do any refund. Luckily the muscle stuff next to him tell me: you know how all the problem goes? Me: yea.(still try to argue with stuff for refund) Muscle stuff:straight pick the notes give it to me as refund) Forgot to said thank you for your refund and apologies for my behaviour on that day. But really the direct debit needs to work out how to run these problem smoothly please.

Negative experience: If I could give a lower star I would. They take money out of your account (Other then the weekly membership) without permission (and Refuse to give back) . Their staff are rude. Don't respond to any communication. Money hungry and just awful to deal with. I went with them initially for how cheap it is. At the beginning was ok but I wouldn't waste your money or time. Go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in Cairns on our road trip north from Sydney, so we were in bad need of a session. Walked in and were blown away, huge gym, new equipment and clean facilities. Music was banging (a little too loud), so bring headphones. But the environment is great, such a solid stop. Cheap casual and holiday rates aswell.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out 24×7. Awesome staff. New machines and weights. The Sauna and ice bath are great after a good workout. Creche facility available for parents with kids. One of the biggest gyms in Cairns and one of the most economical. No contracts necessary.

Positive experience: This is one of the best gym in Cairns. Full air con, new machines, friendly staff and not expensive. Bags lockers are a missing point. Naked gym junkies in the mens bathroom are really unsettling.

Positive experience: Staffed during normal business hours, but gym can be accessed 24/7. Solid gym, but it's new so everything still looks good. I'll update my review should anything change.
