Our classes are designed to deliver a balanced weekly workout, each program created with clear objectives. LIFT cycles in 6-week blocks (you can join at any time), focusing on muscle groups and movements that are then built on and complemented by the next cycle. You'll record and track your results in The Bones app, ensuring a solid and rewarding record of your progress. Everything is considered, nothing is just for the sake of it. You and your goals are front and centre always.

Fantastic experience: Emma’s Mums & Bubs Fitness classes are amazing! She’s incredibly encouraging, kind, and always goes the extra mile to assist with prams and make everyone feel comfortable. Her support and positive attitude make each session enjoyable and accessible, no matter your fitness level. Sadly, I’m moving away from Richmond, but highly recommend her classes to any mum in the area— Emma truly makes fitness fun and accessible for all mums—she’s a gem! Fantastic experience: I've been training at Bones Fitness for the last year and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This place is so much more than a gym. They’ve helped me learn proper form, steadily increase my strength and lose weight. Adam and every trainer here is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in your progress. Fantastic experience: I've really enjoyed coming to mums and bubs sessions over the last few months with my son. It's been so good getting back into some proper, guided strength training with Adam who is a really supportive and knowledgable trainer. Huge bonus to be able to bring my baby along who loves the social outing in the play pen... but no one is phased if he decides to be a bit more demanding during the session!
Fantastic experience: I started the mums & bubs class two months ago and have been absolutely loving it! I am currently 7 months postpartum and am feeling stronger every week. I wish I had started this class sooner! It is clear that Adam has a passion for seeing his clients progress and is very focused on ensuring you are using the correct technique for maximum results and safe weight lifting. I love how family friendly the gym is with help bringing the pram upstairs, play area and change facilities. This takes the stress out of being out and about with your baby…….not to mention Adam is more than happy to hold my daughter if she’s unsettled so I can finish my workout! It’s been great to get to know other mums in this small group training setting and is something I look forward to every week!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been doing the mums & bubs small group training at the Bones since I was five months postpartum and am sad that I didnt discover it earlier! The classes are relaxed and fun, but also challenging and well thought out. Adam is super knowledgeable and always remains patient and upbeat in the face of the chaos that can come with babies! The groups are small enough that you get individual attention and they cater well to different levels of experience/ strength/ recovery. Help to bring the pram upstairs, changing facilities and a play space also help to make the whole experience stress free and easy. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!
Fantastic experience: As a 67-y-o with osteoporosis I was reluctant to start strength training as suggested by my doctor. I'm so glad I did. Adam has been fantastic, carefully building my programme while ensuring the exercises were effective in building the bone density and muscle strength I needed. The results after just 8 weeks have been fantastic. I've lost 4.5 kgs and feel great. My doctor is very happy too. I can't recommend The Bones highly enough.
Fantastic experience: I can't recommend The Bones highly enough! To my surprise, I have already achieved 25 classes with them, and I truly hope this is the foundation of a long journey together. I chose Bones for a couple of things: 1 – Community! This is not 10/10, it's 1000/10! No matter your fitness expertise, you're welcome, encouraged, supported, and set for success! I'm still amazed to find out that I have muscles I was not aware even existed! I just wonder, if this is the progress with two classes a week, how far would I go with more!? It seems the sky is the limit :P 2 – Coaching: Every little movement, small or big, is evaluated with a positive, friendly and encouraging view, to ensure you are not only doing it properly, but also not hurting yourself! Along the weeks, I have gained confidence knowing that my technique progressed steadily! 3 – Free classes: While everyone loves freebies, there's a deeper meaning to this: to strengthen the bond among peers, to learn that exercising can be fun and rewarding, and that taking care of your health can also lead to new friendships! 4 – To be shown the path to push my own limits: If 4 months ago I had been told I would lift the amount of weight I'm lifting now... pfff I would have LOLed. But this is the result of positive, constructive, and guided coaching. So all in all, The Bones is the right answer to any question!

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Adam and The Bones since 2023 and it has been one of the best decisions I've made for my personal health and fitness. With no experience in strength training prior to seeing Adam, he has been nothing but a wonderful personal trainer, extremely knowledgeable and accomodating to people at all levels of fitness. Adam is energetic and warm, and I show up excited to train every week. Cannot speak more highly of The Bones and highly recommend any one and every one to try out the classes and personal training there!

Fantastic experience: Great boutique gym on Bridge Rd! Attended my first small group session this morning ran by Adam and firstly, it was a lot less intimidating than the typical larger group classes you find around, and also, felt like Adam was able to give myself and the other members a lot more attention. It has a chill, friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to feel comfortable while still getting results. The gym has a great balance of male to female members—probably around 50/50—so it feels like a welcoming community for everyone. The trainers are incredibly well-informed, and it's clear they genuinely care about helping you progress. What I really appreciate is that while the gym is supportive and encouraging, it’s also challenging enough to push you to improve. It’s a perfect fit if you’re looking for an environment that helps you level up without feeling overwhelmed. The structured programs & constant support & encouragement allow me to turn up, train hard & have fun! Fantastic experience: I've been training at Bones Fitness for two years now, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Adam and the Crew have built a fantastic studio, and Emma, my PT, has been a game-changer for me. Thanks to her personalised coaching and support, I’ve gained strength and energy. What really sets Bones Fitness apart is how much they listen and customise training to suit your needs. When I had a moon boot from a sports injury, Emma adapted my program so I could keep progressing without risking further injury. That level of care and expertise is hard to find. The biggest win? I went from zero chin-ups to smashing out multiple reps—something I never thought I’d be able to do! If you want a studio that genuinely cares about your progress, helps you overcome challenges, and gets real results, this is the place.
Fantastic experience: I want to shake everyone who doesn't go here by the shoulders and say 'stop wasting your time anywhere else!!!' Legit though, the programming at The Bones is unmatched. Groups are small, so you get semi-private PT for group training prices, which means a trainer is coaching you every step of the way, monitoring your progress, prioritising technique – it's a level of service, attention and knowledge that other group training gyms just don't offer (and I've tried enough to feel confident saying that). Things The Bones does differently: classes will challenge you; it's not about making you sweat a tiny bit, it's about encouraging you to test your limits and push yourself. The Bones tracks your weights each LIFT class, so your incremental progress is measurable and visible, and you’re moving towards a goal, celebrating little wins and big lifts as you go. If you're currently training at a gym where you don't track your weights, esp if the program is meant to be in 6- or 8-week cycles, it’s a complete waste of time . To wrap it all up, it’s about purpose-driven programming, close attention from knowledgeable trainers, a friendly community of nice, normal people (no tops-off training or that kind of thing), a very cool, clean space, new, high-quality equipment and good vibes. If you live in Richmond and you don’t train here, stop whatever you’re doing and come get better results at The Bones – I cannot stress that enough!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t fault the Bones if I tried. Adam, Emma and all their trainers are amazing. I’d never weight lifted before and, six months later, I’m definitely converted. Their programs keep you progressing and give you the right amount of time to nail new movements without feeling rushed or getting bored. The classes are small, and the level of support is ridiculous. There’s always a mixed crowd, and everyone is super friendly, encouraging and having a laugh about something. Six months has flown by and I can’t imagine The Bones not being a part of my routine

Fantastic experience: I have trained many years with Matt/Adam at The Bones Fitness, they are knowledgable, supportive, caring and genuinely want you to succeed and reach your fitness goals. They offer personal 1:1, 2:1 and small groups for strength and cardio. There is no pretence, no show boating, no fear of being filmed or feeling intimidated as the environment you train in is welcoming. I'm someone who has a medical condition that is not always visible, but when it becomes an issue, Matt is always able to quickly adapt and change things around so I'm able to complete our session. Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I’ve trained in. The staff and facilities are top class and the vibe is always positive and supportive. The team are also very flexible if you need to alter your program slightly or if you are unfamiliar with a particular exercise, they will provide expert guidance to get you up to speed. It’s also a gym for all - if you are just starting out, or if you’ve been training for years, I couldn’t recommend it enough!

I came to The Bones almost 2 years ago and had a chronic back issue from my work. Adam was incredible in helping me and modifying my program to help strengthen my back as well as other muscle groups to support my injury. Adam offered me a one-on-one session to go through my program as well as giving me at home exercises to work through. It has made a massive difference and my back has never felt better - going from not being able to bend properly to dead lifting 70kg!! All the trainers are amazing, all the other gym-goers are amazing and cheer you on to reach your PBs - its an awesome atmosphere where you don't feel like a sardine. I highly recommend anyone looking for a supportive fitness environment to give it ago, it is well and truly worth it!!

Fantastic experience: There's something very special and very unique about The Bones studio and its owner/head Personal Trainer Adam. From the moment you enter its discrete entrance you feel an extra sense care and thought has gone into creating a space that breaks away from the norm. Floorboards, crisp white walls and artwork greet you as if you were entering into a private residence rather than a colder industrial training facility. The workout space is spread across multiple rooms and levels which give off a very private and relaxed energy. You feel calm and cut off from the outside world, which is really wonderful and unique. A place where you can train hard, yet decompress at the same time. Adam's knowledge, ability to motivate and communicate is unsurpassed too. The level of care he has for every client that walks through those doors is amazing and you can see he really loves what he does. Whether its guiding beginners through new exercises or getting specific and technical with experienced lifters, Adam's attention detail is unwavering. Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I made was moving out of a group fitness studio environment to personal training with Adam 3 days a week. Having someone focus personally on my goals, constantly pushing me to my limits, checking on my form, getting me out of my comfort zone physically and mentally is priceless! Thanks to Adam, I am the fittest I have ever been and I’ve seen big improvements to lift progressively heavier weights & push myself harder throughout each session. Fantastic experience: What a space and what a guy. I’ve built strength mentally, physically, emotionally at The Bones. Early morning training with the sun beaming through the windows, curated playlists and Adam’s infectious enthusiasm for life has me looking forward to every session. Fantastic experience: Having trained with Adam for 2 years now I am in the best shape of my life. His attention to detail with wiriting personalised programs and ensuring my form is right has resulted in my feeling strong and safe during workouts. The support with diet and nutrition while accommodating lifestyle particulars has also helped solidify many healthy long term habits. Fantastic experience: Ive been training with Adam consistently for the last 7 years and his guidance with food and training has given me a new lease on life. The balance between health, fitness and lifestyle is something that I always struggled with but Adam and the bones crew have the recipe down-pat. Speaking personally and after seeing all of his interactions with clients over the years, he has an ability to form a bond instantaneously with clients that makes you feel like you’re not just another number, you’ll be best mates after the first session. I’ve never seen so many people walk into and out of a 45 minute HIIT session with a smile on their faces as I do when I take part in a class at the bones. They are able to make maximum effort more fun and rewarding and less of a chore. I’ve become addicted to the feeling of feeling invincible walking out of their sessions

Fantastic experience: PT with Adam at The Bones has given me the opportunity to progress with my compound lifts while developing body awareness. There are only few who I have Girl Talk with and Adam is one of them. The grind is killer and the tunes are banging, with the banter from Matt nothing short of pure wit.

Fantastic experience: What. A. Team!! A full ACL tear prompted me to head back to the gym in an attempt to strengthen my leg muscles to avoid surgery. The team at the bones have been relentlessly supportive in pushing me to deadlift, squat, lunge, burpee etc etc as much and as heavy as I can. 6-months post ACL tear + 5.5 months post joining the Bones, I’m close to being cleared to going back to playing soccer without surgery . thank you so much to the team for you help in getting back to playing sport but also encouraging me to get stronger (this has had some delightful benefits like no more sore shoulders or back from working with kids all day!!). The bones is a combination of expertise and fabulous vibe. Couldn’t recommend this gym any higher! Special shout out to Matt Beagly PT who made me believe in personal training.

Fantastic experience: Adam is a jet. He has been looking after me for years and although I'm old, I have never been fitter. He knows his stuff, he is a great communicator and he cares and that makes a world of difference.

Fantastic experience: Adam is a legend and he has been nothing but wonderful to work out with! I’ve been training with him for almost 4 years, and believe he is one of the most committed trainers around. He helped me get back into fitness after having shoulder surgery and a spinal fusion. He is very friendly, relaxed, and very comfortable to work with. He knows his stuff and provides very helpful advice and tips throughout the workout. On top of all this, he works with my ability level to help me achieve my goals. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: Adam is an amazing PT. He really takes the time to understand your goals and tailors training to your specific needs with realistic progression in mind. I trained with Adam the whole way through my pregnancy and it was the best thing I could have done in preparation. It's a bonus that The Bones is a place you want to be - a bright, light studio that makes you want to go to the gym!
