World Gym Palmerston

Fantastic experience: I walked into the gym today and ive never gone to a gym before and this girl i saw behind the counter she had blonde hair and i believe her name was ella, she helped me find my way around and helped me signing up for a membership and she was so lovely and her service was perfect. very impressed.

Negative experience: The woman at reception was not helpful, stood around for 30 minutes waiting and then when I wanted to sign up, she told me to keep waiting as she dealt with other people. For someone wanting to make a positive change, this experience just was a massive kill to my mood.

Negative experience: Me and my partner went to the gym and we are moving states so needed to cancel our membership, they said they won't cancel but will transfer, so I found someone and they wouldn't honour the $18 a week I was paying for the person taking it over, so I then found someone else and oh no we won't allow you to transfer and be out of contract when my contract would have been up, they made them sign up for 6 or 12 months, so basically they don't allow transfer of membership even with a good reason like moving states, the person pretty much had to sign up too a new membership, pretty poor, I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to train at. Probably the best in gym in Darwin/Palmerston now. The staff have been extremely nice. I haven't had to deal with rude staff at all so not sure why someone said that.

Positive experience: -Too crowded, Machines so close to each other -Dusty Machines -No toilet paper on ladies room during night time also wet wipes are out on some dispenser -Are y'all ever going to buy more resistance bands?? When???

Fantastic experience: We used to live in Darwin 40 years now go to World Gym Mackay. Cams back to see family for a week did 5 bike classes in World Gym Palmerston very impressed great set up great instructors thanks Jacinta see you guys next visit thank you

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town, best equipment and even at peak times there is no major delays in accessing the next piece of equipment for your workout.

Negative experience: absolutely horrible experience with this gym and the employees. when i first signed up the man who signed me was very helpful and nice but since then i don’t think i’ve dealt with a single nice staff member. tried cancelling the membership i had as i was being charged more than what i was told at the start, when going through the cancelling process every team member i spoke with on the phone was incredibly rude and absolutely no help! at first the manager was helpful via email but after speaking with her on the phone i’m absolutely disgusted. do not recommend this gym AT ALL.

Fantastic experience: Super helpful and friendly staff. Easy process to get signed up. So many machines and classes to choose from. Our PT is amazing - very knowledgeable and makes our sessions fun.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym, the creche staff are so lovely, always so welcoming and my daughter absolutely loves going! Haven’t been in the gym consistently for the last couple months as I was heavily pregnant and I’ve just recently had my baby so I am very excited to get back into my normal routine again ☺️

Fantastic experience: World Gym Palmerston is a great place to train, offering top quality equipment, a clean and spacious environment, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, making it a great gym for all fitness levels. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Pretty disappointed that one of the main reasons that I joined for and what most people I know joined for, is the ice baths. They are out of order nearly every single day since joining or they are absolutely filthy. Snap fitness also have ice baths if anyone is looking.

Fantastic experience: There’s a team member here with black hair and some awesome tattoos—I believe her name is Maddi? She is incredibly kind and went out of her way to chat with my partner and myself, making us feel so welcome. On top of that, she helped us retrieve my lost necklace from the sauna, which meant so much. It’s the small acts of kindness like this that make a huge difference, especially when you’re settling into a new gym. Her warmth and generosity truly stood out—thank you so much! I also want to acknowledge a personal trainer, a hardworking man who wears glasses. He is one of the most dedicated individuals I’ve ever seen. Whether he’s training clients, tidying up, or engaging with members, he’s always giving 110%. He keeps everything in top condition and ensures the gym is well-organized. His work doesn’t go unnoticed—thank you for your effort and dedication!

Negative experience: First member sign up - excited for day 1 for a new atmosphere and new equipment. New equipment perfect - no problems, only reason for the 2 stars. The rest? The gym is crowded with rude people who judge you. The equipment is never cleaned and if it is, they must do it once a day. The gyms music is super loud where you can’t even have a conversation with another person, let alone when you go to the toilets it’s even louder! The staff members seems to rotate so much, with this I haven’t had one consistently say hello or goodbye to me when I am entering and walking straight past them. The water area is flooded from the ice baths, you have to go all the way around. With 8 plus staff it seems working at a single shift why can’t this be clean? Happy to change my review after more visits to see these changes change but right now it’s a 2 stars.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Darwin by a mile, staff are very friendly and motivating. New gym never gets packed you rarely waiting to use machines, very large variety of new machines. Ice baths and saunas are very convenient for recovery. excellent gym community, only wish there was more cameras outside of gym and maybe a safer car park.

Fantastic experience: Lots of space, great set up, the staff are lovely and the trainers on the floor are so helpful and full of knowledge, kids area is great for the little kids.

Fantastic experience: The BEST gym I've ever been too! Not only do I love it but the kids also do, the creche is amazing!! The cafe is amazing, and the staff are absolutely beautiful! Not to mention the recovery area with saunas and ice baths

The experience has been fantastic—the staff and members create such a welcoming and supportive environment, no matter where you are on your fitness journey. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your fitness to the next level, this gym fosters a positive, motivating community that helps you reach your goals. Special shout out to the girls in crèche who treat my little ones with love and care, gives me confidence to focus on me time without stress!

Fantastic experience: World Gym Palmerston is fantastic! I love the ice baths, they're a perfect recovery tool after a workout! The quality of the equipment is 10/10 I love to see we have such high-quality facilities right here in Palmerston.

Fantastic experience: This place is noting short of amazing compared to other gyms in the area and gyms I’ve been to in general. The world gym brand just does it right and have been to worlds all around Australia and this one steps it up . This place is huge and even at peak hour their seems to be space and machines for everyone. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and were offering tours which I declined but thought was nice! I grabbed a cheeky monkey shake on the way out which was tasty . The only thing I would like different in this gym is a pendulum squat machine and one of the pt,s told me they have one on the way so can’t wait. 5 from 5 for me!

Negative experience: Extremely rude staff. The gym is overpriced. The facilities are ok and they don't even bother with putting a watch on the wall to time the breaks. I wouldn't recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many gyms throughout my life and I have to say, hats off to you WG Palmerston. The layout, the space, the equipment available, the vibe! Everyone is down to earth and doing their own thing. Hands down the best gym I’ve ever been apart of. Well done

Fantastic experience: This place is nothing short of incredible! Blown away by the range of equipment, recovery sauna/ice baths available. Plenty of space and friendly staff
