Fantastic experience: I love visiting my local Y, super friendly staff and they do good things for the community

Negative experience: Staff are unprofessional and psychically abusive to children after leaving a obvious mark on my child, my concerns were dismissed and downplayed. The mark left was a clear indication that excessive and unnecessary force was used. There was also no incident report given to me upon collection of my child that day until I brought it up with you. I work in the disability industry so have a clear understanding of incident reporting and restrictive practice and nothing about this situation was professional, within guidelines or in my childs best interest. Someone did contact me, only to dismiss my concerns and call my 5 year old a liar for reporting harm.

Negative experience: billing issues, always taking out the wrong amount, usually more than they should as I claim childcare subsidy. trying to get this resolved and refunded is almost impossible. Currently cant get a hold of head office after calling them Monday to question yet another payment issue. Centrelink has advised to chase them to refund "x" amount or risk them keeping "x" for themselves. (this has happened before or so I was told by the lady at Centrelink) phones are currently disconnected.

Negative experience: Always have billing issues with these guys. I usually just pay it, but this time I got fed up and made them look into it and they have been putting my money onto someone else's account....angry is an understatement!!! Our billing issues have been going on for about 8 years!

Negative experience: Poor experience, never going back. Treatment by staff is unacceptable, head office isn’t much help either.

Negative experience: After 20 years of playing netball at Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre I can say its time to warn others about staying clear of this centre. See attached photo where by a prelim final was stopped mid way through a quarter in the prelim final, we were told we were playing ineligible players....not the case and then presented with 12 of 16 game sheets is disgusting enough but then we had to go through the sheets to prove others wise. I could go on but this photo almost sums up where this YMCA centre is at. After 20 years we have seen the rapid decline in a social fun competition that is "No More"

Positive experience: I found it a little difficult to find as there is no outside signage

Negative experience: My local angle Park ymca is seriously embarrassing. Multiple problems I rang up head office and they where totally rude and didn't care.

Negative experience: So the YMCA has agreed to join the National Redress Scheme, yet refuse to supply the documents requested so those that have been abused over the years by members of this organisation can get the help they need. Any father or mother considering having their children join this abusive organisation should think twice. For years the catholic church refused to acknowledge the physical abuse suffered by children in their care well the YMCA is also in denial. Own up and supply the documents requested so that we can get on with our lives.
