Positive experience: Equipment is alright, the section with squat racks and extra space for other activities is quite nice. a good variety of weight and cardio machines, but they are quite cramped up. quite a small gym, so usually not busy. however, the change rooms/toilet facilities are terrible. only one shower stall, and the water barely drains. lots of hair and dust in the corners. toilets are quite cramped as well. apart from that, not a bad gym for the price.

Negative experience: Such a bad customer service. There are reasons why people do not register further.

Negative experience: Disappointed to find out that there is NO leg adductor/abductor equipment in the premises. This is as essential gym equipment... never seen a gym without it... and there are no ankle weights either. Staff said other Zap Fitness could have the equipment. A good chance to provide the equipments to this one but there was no clear interest about it.

Positive experience: I'm a very early morning gym user. At 5 a.m., there are only a few people here. It's quite a small gym (I guess). The equipment is generally in good condition, and hygiene standards are generally good (I can't vouch for bathroom facilities because I haven't used them). The music is rubbish, though!

Positive experience: A basic convenient gym, I joined because it was close to where I live. $500 / Year membership gets you 24 hour access, the equipment is ok but some of the cardiovascular equipment is faulty. The gym is never busy , premises are clean and plenty of parking except at Xmas time.

Positive experience: Zap Fitness at Burnside is around the corner from me and being conveniently 24/7, it’s definitely the best option for my lifestyle. The equipment is in good working order and it’s usually not very busy so you do get some good time on each one. They have some good deals from time to time for registration/joining so get to it!

Negative experience: Poor communication to members with no notice of gym being closed this Sunday morning, and only open during "staffed hours" This is very unprofessional. I am having second thoughts about keeping my membership with this club. Extremely disappointed and inconvenienced.

Negative experience: Zap Fitness Burnside used to be my go to gym as it was 5 minutes from home. Lately the gym has been filthy all the time with weight, sanitiser wipes and dirt everywhere. Won't be going back.

Fantastic experience: Small gym but has everything a casual gym goer like me needs. Friendly staff and music isn't too obnoxious or loud.

Negative experience: Edited to 1 star: Toilets are disgusting, never clean. I am so frustrated about this. Otherwise, I enjoy exercising there.

Yeah right they don’t mention how hard it is to cancel your membership, a phone line that doesn’t ever answer and email that barley responds, and the fact they have a 4 week cooling of period. 4 visits to this gym cost me $60 a visit and hours of my time wasted trying to cancel the bloody thing There’s reasons no one is in there gyms

Positive experience: Generally OK although some machines are a bit tired. Staff friendly but don't enforce towel policy sadly from a health perspective.

Fantastic experience: The place was well maintained with sanitisers, wiping tissues. Gym was planned as per Covid 19 regulations.

Negative experience: Really small gym. Limited equipment. Only good thing is convenient location in the shopping centre. If you are a hard core gymmer you are not gonna like it.

Positive experience: Less than two hours from submitting below review, I visited the location and saw Chad (facilities manager) already taking action and looking into my comments. That was quite impressive and I appreciate it. We had a good chat. Only thing missing now is signing up the new cleaning company :) ----------- Current guy managing place is good and polite. Better value for money than others in the area, BUT... Poor hygiene! Dirty place. I don't think they use detergents and proper chemicals to clean any equipment, floor or bathrooms - because ofcourse cleaning is costly! So let the customers die of cancer or nasty viruses. It's a fair trade. Tiny sinks not enough to wash your hands. Showers are dirty with filthy floors with no place to put your clothes while you shower. Machines are not as good as the CBD Currie St. branch. Water fountain not working properly.

Positive experience: Since being with Zap I've never had any of the notorious issues with overcharging etc. which I've come to worry about when dealing with gyms. There are good deals to be had with the local businesses in the shopping complex as a Zap member and the gym staff are very friendly. If you're looking for a small, local, friendly gym that will have all the equipment for a decent workout, then this is the place. It's nice to know that I'm welcome at any of their locations too.
