Negative experience: I went to synergy today to purchase an item which is only available in a couple of stores in Wagga. I put my item on the counter, only to be told that in order to make my purchase, the receptionist would need to 'create an account ' with my details. I asked why (I was just wanting to spend money at their business) and she said that's the only way she could do it. I said 'No thanks, I'm a gen x-er' and that I would make my purchase elsewhere. She then proceeded to give me the stink eye. She probably was having a bad day due to the ridiculous red tape she no doubt deals with working here. Seriously, why in society do we need to give our email address, phone number etc every time we leave the house? It was not the girls fault whom I dealt with, it's the process of the business, and as such, I'll keep going where I usually go. They just lost what would have been a repeat customer. **Edit after business response** I was not allowed to purchase my item without giving details, this was not a 'misunderstanding' and if there happened to be an an issue with the product, a receipt is legal and doesn't need a name should these matters arise.
