Revo Fitness - Shellharbour

Fantastic experience: Revo Fitness is honestly the gym you want to join. I enjoy the environment, everyone is really friendly and the equipment is always spotless. Tash the manager is so lovely and the team are great. Gym membership price is one of the best you can come across in the Illawarra. I don’t understand why people would even consider going anywhere else.

Negative experience: Experience at site is nice, clean, lots of equipment. Staff are generally friendly to talk too. But one down side like all gyms, easy to sign up hard and a pain to leave… Went into Revo Shellharbour in August 2024 to cancel membership as couldn’t find out how to do on app.. lady behind desk notified me she noted cancelation on computer.. was happy till this point.. November 2024 looking through bank statement to notice I’m still being charged.. Went straight back down to Revo and told my situation, staff member stated I didn’t fill out cancelation paperwork last time and workers can’t just put it as a note on file.. Then she done the same thing, I asked for paperwork and she said it’s cancled and she put a note . Then I asked to be reimbursed to be told no. Went to bank to cancel card and found out they use a 3rd party business that takes the money.. Long story short I loose out , feeling robed, and not like it’s a lot of money just the point… won’t use gyms after this experience.

Positive experience: Update: I have inceased my review to 3 stars because the gym has been in contact with an apology, refund of the fees and no fee cancellation. Initial review I would not recommend this gym. I was charged a fee for pausing my account, which I was not informed about. When the fee resulted in a late payment charge, I questioned it because I was under the impression that no fees would apply while my account was paused. The staff member informed me that these fees were outlined in the agreement I signed when joining. However, after reviewing the agreement, I found no mention of such a fee. I then emailed the manager to explain that these fees were not listed in the agreement. The manager called me and stated that while the fees weren’t explicitly mentioned, the agreement does include a clause that fees are subject to change at any time. While the charges were small in this instance, the fact that the agreement allows for any fee changes at the company’s discretion is concerning. This means the gym could impose any fee, of any amount, which I find unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Just want to say it is always enjoyable working out at Revo Shellnarbour. Great atmosphere and people there. Staff are always on hand and helpful especially Nikki on a Tuesday, love going on Tuesdays. Always great to have laugh and chat with her. Glad to have a gym that I can look forward to go to.

Fantastic experience: The gym is so spacious and there's so many machines to choose from and the price is amazing. Georgia with the blonde hair is very helpful

Fantastic experience: This gym is clean and well maintained. I always feel comfortable and safe when I’m working out there alone. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always very helpful when it comes to any enquires. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Finally a gym that is enjoyable to go to. Clean and organised. Big shout out to the staff especially Nikki who always goes above and beyond to help members and have a quick chat to make you feel welcomed. Great place to workout. Definitely recommend Revo

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership and in the last month I changed my bank details for security reasons, i received one email to tell me to call them to make payment for an outstanding balance. I was not aware of this email and a payment of $2.70 was attempted to be taken from the cancelled bank account, I called a day later to make payment and now have to pay a $15 late fee. Inconsiderate and no assistance, I will not return to Revo nor recommend.

Negative experience: My girlfriend and I came during staffed hours with the intention of signing up at 3:00 on the 5/4/24 and waited for 20 minutes to no avail. Extremely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I've tried all the gyms in Shellharbour with short 3 month stays, to see which one suits me and REVO tick all the boxes so I've committed with their ongoing fee thats very attractive in the way its structured. Great staff, facilities are new, and the gym equipment is always in order. Parking is abundance with multiple levels of underground parking and the roof top parking is at the entrance of the gym. 1st impressions are the very professional front desk staff. Particularly Olivia, who always goes above and beyond most customer service expectations. Olivia's efforts in making you feel welcome and genuinely cares what your experience was at the gym, doesn't go unnoticed. She always acklowledges the members equally and somehow managers to also keep the gym in order during busy periods. Keep up the excellent work.

Fantastic experience: Extremely well maintained gym with high cleanliness and hygiene of equipment. Sanitization stations are throughout the gym and wipe after use signs visible. Olivia is a fantastic manager who greets her clients and offers advise when it comes to the equipment. I am a very happy member and will continue to be so. I recommend this gym for all types of users.
