Negative experience: Avoid, very toxic and the members are unchecked by staff. This is a social club first and gym second. If you're looking for a bodybuilding or powerlifting gym look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym with best in class equipment. Staff and other Gym goers are really friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at NRG Essendon for a year now, and it’s hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to! The front desk staff are absolutely amazing—always welcoming, friendly, and ready to help with anything you need. The equipment is top-notch, better than any other gym I’ve tried, and there’s plenty of variety to suit all fitness levels and goals. What really sets NRG Essendon apart, though, is the community. The patrons are so friendly and encouraging; it’s hard not to feel motivated when you walk in and are greeted with smiles all around. I cannot recommend NRG Essendon enough. If you’re looking for a place to work out that’s welcoming, well-equipped, and just all-around fantastic, this is it.

Negative experience: The gym itself had potential but honestly filled with a bunch on entitled Essendon bodybuilder wannabes. Gym culture starts from the top down. You’re all normal people with normal lives don’t take your gym so seriously man. 3.8 stars for 28 google reviews pretty sure that says enough.

Negative experience: 33 degrees outside,fans are off in the gym.

Negative experience: As is, would not recommend. The gym becomes a sauna on only slightly sunny days. No aircon nor industrial ceiling fans. Expect to sweat buckets, possibly pass out and likely die if you're on your own.

Negative experience: NRG gym in Essendon has no air conditioning, only fan operating. when paying $1099 yearly you would think there is a cool enjoyable environment. However it's stuffy and sticky whilst working out. Cheap gyms offer air conditioning. Poor form and management profit driven only. Don't join as no air conditioning and profit driven only.

Positive experience: Good equipment and very clean but it was a hot day and there was little to no airflow and it got very stuffy

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym - plenty of equipment, reception staff are super friendly, other gym goers are very considerate. Very modern and clean - the staff are always wandering around wiping things down which is great to see. Love this place

Negative experience: had my membership cancelled due to “gym etiquette” after making a comment on their public Instagram page, wouldn’t refund my money because I had already paid for the whole year in advance so they were happy to take my money. Also accused me of bullying people just because I had an opinion on a new rule, but no one wanted to solve the issue, their solution is to get rid of you. Another opinion from me!

Fantastic experience: best gym in the area!

Positive experience: New, clean equipment. Gets busy and membership $$$

Negative experience: Very rude management with zero customer service skills. There is a clear lack of care or regard for their clients.

Positive experience: Overall, the gym is pretty great. It has enough squat racks even during busy hours, and plenty of state of the art gym machines, and equipment. Some of the machines even count the number of reps! Lots of athletic bodybuilder/gym junkies attend this gym too, so you can tell peeps are serious about training at this gym. The only downside is that there's no A/C. When the temperature is 20+ degrees celsius, the gym gets super hot and at times unbearable. The ventilation fans inside aren't exactly useful, since it's blowing hot air around. Even though they open the garage doors, it's not enough to cool the gym. Wish they could install an a/c unit, then this gym would get a 5 star from me.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been waiting for a good gym to open near me for a while now. It has all brand new equipment. So new you can smell it when you walk it. Top of the line stuff as well. Really nice staff too. I’ve only just signed up but I’d definitely recommend.
