Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, PT’s, service, classes and management

Negative experience: I have been a member of the Mornington branch for over 8 years now. The reason I continue is that it’s a women’s only gym which is a preference for myself. I recently asked for a freeze on my membership for 12 weeks as I was travelling overseas for personal reasons followed by the month of fasting in Ramadhan making it difficult to keep attending. I requested the holding fee to be partly waived as it was a longer duration with circumstances beyond my control. I was declined the waiver which was a bit disappointing and I didn’t feel I was given due consideration. I have paid for the freeze in the past in Ramadhan and not asked to be accommodated, I do feel the need for more consideration for minorities.

Fantastic experience: Probably the kindest, most considerate Owner/Manager of any gym anywhere that I have had the good fortune to meet. Keirsten is simply the best. If you ever want to join a gym that is run by courteous, kind and professional staff, then this is it. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: I made the change from a male dominant gym to fernwood and I wish I did it sooner. The ladies at fernwood mornington are all so welcoming. They also offer free support to get you started which I found incredibly helpful. They showed me how to use the equipment, and I had the 8 week journey initial and follow up consult where I spoke to a PT about goals, and how they can help me achieve them. I always imagined PT’s to be high energy and pressuring which is not me at all, but the PT’s I spoke to were all so supportive and met me on my level. I just finished my 8 weeks and I smashed my goals. It absolutely helps being at a place I feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks ladies :)

Fantastic experience: I started the Hypoxi at Mornington Fernwood and did the 12 session starter pack doing three sessions a week. I loved every minute of it and lost a total of 2kg and 22cm in four weeks. Thanks to Vicki for being so supportive and keeping me motivated through the process. I’ll be back after my holiday for more and hopefully lose a few more centimeters before doing the maintenance programme.

Positive experience: Good gym with good instructors but not very flexible. Very strict with rules and expensive.

Fantastic experience: I got roped into doing a Fiit30 class recently having recently rejoined Fernwood after a COVID-induced break. I reluctantly joined the group, concerned that I wouldn’t be able to keep up! I LOVED IT and immediately signed up for unlimited classes. I love that all I have to do is follow the instructions and that I get a sensational workout in 30minutes. Done. I also love that you’re never sweating on your own. There’s a group of women all supporting each other, sweating and laughing through it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic experience: Love this club! Staff are always friendly and happy to help. I feel supported in any class by enthusiastic trainers whether it be Reformer, Fit 30, Cycle or group fitness. Bright, clean and vibing - well done girls!!

Negative experience: women only gym but i unfortunately think they've used this to their advantage by constantly finding ways to dig into your pocket. As an 18 year old studying full time i was struggling to pay my membership so opted to cancel which led me to deal with careless customer services which made me feel very silly. i was made to pay a $200 cancelation fee after sending off an email providing my circumstances of financial hardship and wasn't listened too at all. all this on top of over priced fees to sign up and use the additional facilities. overall felt i wasn't looked after as a female.

Fantastic experience: I'm a returned member. Love the fact that someone is there all day. Music playing all the time to help motivate You. Staff are always helpful & friendly & the equipment is everything u need to get the results u want.

Fantastic experience: What a fabulous place! Great equipment and classes and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Good gym, lovely staff & atmosphere. Does get a little hard to use equipment around 6pm because of the Fit30 exclusive membership (which is a little too pricey). Also wish there was Wi-Fi to access. Otherwise if you are looking for an all women's gym this is a pretty good place!

Fantastic experience: Love it! Was very nervous about starting at a gym but all of the trainers and staff are so supportive, friendly and welcoming. Membership prices are great with lots of choices. Very clean gym with a large variety of equipment. Huge variety of classes available! Love it, best decision ever! Thanks Fernwood ☺
