Club Lime Teneriffe

Negative experience: Do not join Club Lime. I did and they were OK when I used them. I’ve been trying to cancel my account for a few months and all I’m getting in return in nasty messages and mails with unrealistic additional fees.

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything you need plus the bonus nice view of the river. The staff are friendly and helpful in getting your exercises right. The atmosphere is relaxed while focussed, and you can use the outdoor area for extra floor space. It has great equipment and excellent classes on demand. The bathroom facilities are slightly in need of updating so it’s not ideal for getting ready here before work, but everything else is flawless.

Negative experience: Can the staff please turn down the music before finishing their staffed hours?

Negative experience: The gym is typically your standard run of the mill gyms, nothing special. Staff are cold giving it an atmosphere of coldness and complete unfriendliness. It has a view of the river which is its only bonus. The gym has changed ownership from Healthworks to Club Lime which has not been for the better unfortunately. This is NOT a 24-hour gym, beware before joining. Just an update. Observed over the last number of months. General maintenance has also reduced quite significantly, and the air-conditioning here I feel poses a very significant OHS risk to members that may be medically vulnerable. If you do intend on joining this gym please do it on a direct debit monthly basis, so you can cancel your membership at the end of each month. If you complain about any issues, (especially OHS), head office gives you the run around and nothing gets done.

Positive experience: Turn down the music. Everyone is listening to their own thing we shouldn't have to burst our eardrums to hear it over the worst pop hits of 2015.

Negative experience: So dirty now,, always out of sanitising wipes - has gone downhill since Kathy the manager left. Deal was I paid for use of two gyms - teneriffe and newstead, Newstead closed down and no reduction in price was given. However Adam who works there is excellent.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, great sauna, good pool, good gear.

Negative experience: Worst experience when trying to cancel my membership. Do not recommend this gym at all! Horrible service.

Negative experience: You’ll need a lawyer to get out of the ‘no lock in’ contract.

Fantastic experience: The virtual classes are the best - especially for people who work all different hours as classes run all day and late at night. Very lovely staff, lots of quiet areas/a large alternate studio if you’re someone that likes working out alone.

Fantastic experience: This club is great! Facilities are massive and there’s heaps of space. Pools a little cold right now but the classes offered and sauna make it well worth it!!!

Negative experience: Staffed hours until 2pm Sunday and Saturday mean no access to the pool (or sauna) after 2pm, that's the main reason I'm a member. Dissapointing. The staff there absolutely are lovely and great.

Negative experience: Don't join, I've cancelled my membership over 8 months ago and the are still deducting money out of my account. I have sent them multiple emails telling them and they keep saying I have to pay them more money if I want to quit even though they have been unlawfully deducting money.. if you join they will steal money out of your account

Fantastic experience: Great spot for a gym! It is a bit tight especially in peak times. The equipment is pretty basic has everything you need though. but overall I love it been going there pretty much everyday

Negative experience: Pretty poor service since it was purchased by Viva...prices have gone up.... wrong hours advertised and gym got closed 25minutes since we got in...no one told us about closing when $20 was taken for entering....

Negative experience: Not Recommended. I had been with this gym for some time and when I first joined up years ago it was run by a small organisation. The staff were friendly and understanding, I didn’t have to enter a lock in contract and the prices were fair. Since that time however they have been purchased by Viva Leisure, a large organisation with over 60,000 members nationwide. I’ve seen the contract processes grow, the organisation become more rigid and the prices increase. When did signing up for a gym begin to feel like signing a mortgage agreement? I have to denounce this growing trend of large gym organisations to employ such restrictive contracts on their customers, and I really do believe it’s only profitable because it takes advantage of the good will of the average Australian. How many of those 60,000 members are dormant, not attending the gym at all? I doubt they check, I suspect they know and don’t care. You will regret signing up with this gym. I write this review if only to make these objectionable business practices slightly less profitable, and to help someone avoid the experiences I’ve had. Again this is not a reflection of the gym itself but the organisation who enforces its policies that seemingly border the edge of legality. Consider joining a small business owned gym before coming here, the staff or often the owners, the terms are more fair and in my experience they’re more deserving of, and more grateful for your patronage. Fantastic experience: Convenient gym with views to the Brisbane river. Good selection of free weights and quality machines. Staff always greet you with a smile. I've trained here for months and never had an issue with up-selling as mentioned in a 1-star review.

Negative experience: Really focused on upselling extra services. Very deceitful. Have a look elsewhere.
