Furious Fitness Atherton

Positive experience: When it comes to equipment quality and range, these guys have some excellent equipment, some minor dust on a couple machines. This branch doesn’t have air conditioning that I’m aware of, just fans for the main area, so in the summer months it can be quite hot. The reason for my review is because the trainer (not operations manager, Jason, who is a great person) was wanting to use the machine I was using, she first asked how long I would be to which I said “just a couple minutes” and when I went back I said something along the lines of ‘it seemed like you only have one of these machines (leg extension) since it’s a high use machine it would be great to have a couple of these.’ She replied to me, “well if you weren’t talking on your phone, we wouldn’t have needed to ask,” to which I replied “well we all have important things that need attending to in life.” Which at that time I had an urgent and important personal matter to discuss, which she had no consideration or respect for my situation. Jason and all the other trainers are very respectful and considerate but I don’t want my experience to bring down the great service these guys offer especially for a small town like Atherton.

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend Furious Fitness Atherton enough!!! Great equipment, machines, service. I highly recommend JMS Fitness. Jenna is a good PT who always looks after her clients, both young & seniors. Jason the face of the Atherton gym (in my opinion) is always smiling, happy to help & always welcoming. Furious Fitness Atherton are a great team of people & I highly recommend calling in and saying G'day. They also run some pretty cool group classes which are worth checking out

Fantastic experience: Best gym in FNQ by far

Negative experience: My partner and I refuse to continue a membership at this gym. It is severely overcrowded. At 3.30pm onwards it is packed with inconsiderate teenage school kids, amounting in large groups. They lack gym etiquette and make it impossible to get in a decent workout. When you are carrying a heavy weight to put back, they will get in your way and they crowd all machines in large groups. There is no monitoring of the youngsters and no efficiency at this gym.

Fantastic experience: Furious fitness is the best gym in atherton. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. and i couldn’t recommend it to anyone more. Highly functional facility in a very convenient location. When i had a questions or queries it was sorted out quickly and effectively. If you are in Atherton I highly recommend furious fitness for a gym experience you won’t regret.

Positive experience: Clean change rooms. Good selection of free weights and pin loaded machines. Friendly staff.

Negative experience: Good gym but barely any rock or metal on the speakers

Fantastic experience: Great little gym with lots of gear and well set out. The thing that struck me more than anything is how busy the staff are keeping the gym spotlessly clean, it’s really good to see that committed approach from gym staff and I visit a lot of gyms as we travel about. Special mentions for Natasha who was there on Saturday and Jason who was working there Monday on their hard work and great attitude. Highly recommend this little gem!

Fantastic experience: Gym has a variety of up to date equipment to work out all areas of your body, friendly staff and is very hygienic.

Positive experience: Brand new equipment, great price and very clean venue. Poor amenities, only one shower shared with the toilet and no changing rooms. Friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Its furious

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I've ever been to. Kinda small, a bit crowded around 4-7pm but still able to do all the exercises you want to do on the best, cleanest, new machines. Music always motivating, different to only old school hip hop. So no worries if you forget your headphones. (Flat bench is okay but the 2 levels you can take the bar off are either very high or very low and not adjustable. That'd be everything I could say what i found "bad" about the gym) Also they don't contract you, which is very nice for travelling and they offer weekly extensions without a higher price. Honestly this option is one of the best parts. You can actually see the people running the gym are passionate about the sport aswell. No doubt, 5 stars
