Derrimut 24:7 Gym - Ballarat

Negative experience: I used to love this gym. Now the quality has fallen off hard. Facilities are never clean. Things are always broken whether it is equipment or toilets. The new hours are horrible which means the gym is always busy. Plus they rarely have paper towels to clean down equipment. A lot of things need to change for this gym to be good again

Negative experience: Gym is getting really dirty, no longer 24/7, equipment goes for months without repair. They are running this location into the ground.

Negative experience: I signed a contract at Derrimut for a 24/7 schedule, but they changed it, which I believe is a breach of contract. What does this mean for us? Will we be getting our money back, or are they using it to pay staff who seem to be spending time on their phones instead? It’s not like the gym doesn’t have plenty of tasks to handle.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Signed up to this gym because it was 24/7. I paid upfront for the year, and now I can’t even get my money back. Waste of my money honestly. Something needs to happen

Negative experience: They sent me E mail 24/7 Join because discount event something But i don't have time morning I only have time for late night time When I visited there it's closed Why they put on 24/7 And why can't refund money? I never use gym... It's kind of fraud. Says 24/7 when I signed up but not when I go there. Reported.

Negative experience: Used to be a 5 star gym. Slowly over time has began to slack, the worst however is the now limited opening hours. Guys, if you call yourself derrimut 24/7 you need to actually be open 24/7. Also dont try and make it seem like a good thing by saying once the doors are done it will go back to 24/7. Technically the gym will still be unstaffed, hence the door fob system being implemented. So it’s still not a 24/7 gym. It’s a shame. Not any staff members fault, they are doing their job. But management/head office don’t know how to run a company

Negative experience: 24/7 gym - false advertising. Now only opened limited hours. Will be contacting head office in regards to refund. What a disappointment, having been a loyal Derrimut member for 4 years.

Negative experience: Payed upfront for 12 months shortly after joining recived an email advising the gym is no longer 24/7 and I cannot cancel. Gym membership I cannot use as I can only train outside staffed hours.. Given the promo I believe this was a strategic move on Derimuts behalf, very disappointing.

Negative experience: This gym advertises itself as 24/7, but they’ve now changed the timings without any prior notice. I emailed them about it, but no one even bothered to reply. When I requested a refund for my membership—since the new hours make it impossible for me to train—they simply said no. That’s completely unfair. On top of that, the hygiene here is terrible. The equipment is always dirty, and there are never any wipes available. If you’re looking for a clean gym that actually values its members, avoid this place at all costs!

Negative experience: Derrimut247 changed from 24/7 to limited hours. This does not suit my training time frames and many other members as well have been impacted. Most are already ex members. I have no reply from management regarding compensation or a refund on membership. Staff can not even turn lights on to even open at the new opening hours and had to call manger to learn how to flick a switch. The 20 people oit the front didn't get let in to start training until 6:10. The only personal trainer in the gym also lost a client who was on limited time and the late opening ruined his schedule. Shall I continue ? Cleanliness of the gym is absolutely disgusting. I have gone into public toilet in wendouree that are cleaner than the change rooms here. They also have ants crawling around the staff room kitchen, who knows what that looks like with the shape of the gym. The staff also put a towel as the base of an emergency exit during a storm to keep a little bit of water from coming inside. The towel is still there 6 months later. While on the OHS wagon there is a bench in the mens locker room with a leg that is about to snap if someone sits on the bench the wrong way. This has been raised with the team behind the desk but they would rather continue scrolling reels than do anything to keep members safe. No chemical bottle on the walls have any labels on them. Not that they are used often because they can't refill or order paper towel. The emergency exit plans near the bathrooms also has "you are here" pointing in the incorrect position. Fire extinguisher equipment has also been neglected and has not had a test in over 12months. I could continue but I think you get the picture of how this "24/7" gym is operated.

Negative experience: To Derrimut Gym 24/7 gym I do understand that you have changed the gym hours for Ballarat Victoria and I do appreciate you notification about this new hour change but as my training times are based on my ability to train only from 11pm till 3 am and this is the reason I joined this gym due it it being at an advertised 24 hrs gym and it is literally in the name of the gym Derrimut 24/7 gym l am unable to train at the gym and you have broken a contract with me by not providing me with what you have advertised as being a 24 hr gym always open and staffed for the customers benifits and now you are not going to fulfill that contract I am requesting a full refund for the remainder of my membership as I am unable to train at the Derrimut 24/7 gym as it is no longer 24 hours and is now a conflict to my ability to train at the gym. Negative experience: Despite the name being "24:7 gym" this gym is no longer 24/7 and has limited hours. This change was made suddenly, negatively impacting all those with upfront members. Go to D2e instead

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership and after the cooling off period Derrimut continued to take another $187 from me. When I asked for a refund they refused. I guess house's on the block don't pay for themselves....... Also while I was using this gym I was constantly picking up other people's weights while the staff sat on their phones and did nothing.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic value! Great equipment and friendly atmosphere. So much better than the awuatic centre where i was a member.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this gym. I recently went in to cancel my membership due to an incident that made me feel very uncomfortable. While I was doing kickbacks, another member was standing unreasonably close to me. When my husband politely asked him to move and use another machine, the man refused and started shouting. I reported this to the gym right away, but after waiting four days, they still hadn’t taken any action. When I went in to cancel my membership and asked for an update, they casually told me they were “still investigating.” They had already reviewed the video footage, which clearly showed how close the man was standing, yet they chose to ignore my discomfort and didn’t take any steps to address the situation. This gym’s lack of response and disregard for my concerns have left me feeling very disappointed. I expected them to take member safety and comfort seriously, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Positive experience: Good gym no doubt with good equipment, but just upset about the fact that the price has gone up just within a week of signing up (for the annual membership) after being told that it was one of the cheapest deals running in the gym's history as it marked its 13th birthday celebrations. Difference in price between the signed up offer and the new offer is negligible, however from a customer satisfaction perspective, I would think they should at least look to contact people (proactively) who may have signed up in (at least) 2 weeks prior to the new offer to let them know what they can do for them (options could be match the new offer preferably, offer an extension, offer freebies from the store etc.) Had told few of my friends/families to sign up, but will now hold off on the word of mouth promotions.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for 6 or so weeks. Great gym. Heaps of room and great equipment and friendly staff. The only thing I'd improve is: 1. They need more 5kg plates or get 25kg ones 2. Turn the heater off.

Fantastic experience: Great clean facilities, massive variety of equipment and friendly staff. I've been a regular user of gyms for years, but I really do believe that the ladies only gym located in Ballarat is an amazing addition for women starting out that may be a bit nervous. Can't wait to hopefully see some group fitness classes soon in Ballarat! That'll just take it up another notch!

Negative experience: Great gym, friendly staff members and awesome equipments. just a bit disappointed with the offer advertised. it said $299 upfront payment for 12 months membership and when i went to they gym to signup they say they charge $50 admin fee on top of that so it’s actually $350. I was still happy to pay but just wished they said it’s $350 on the advertisement so i knew. other cancellation policies, terms and conditions, etc I get it and it’s fair but if you advertise the price i thought it would be nice and fair to stick to it

Fantastic experience: - Love this gym, its so spacious and has HEAPS of equipment - The gym is maintained regularly and always looks clean - Gym clothes, protein, meals and snacks available for purchase at the entrance - Decent music and good vibes - Good air conditioning with fans all over the gym as well - Additional private womens gym area - Staff have always been super friendly - 24/7 staffing hours - Great location with heaps of parking space - There's a small cafe in the same building which is a nice bonus
