Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym. Was up in Bundy on holiday and end up paying for daily visits just due to how large and equipped the gym was. Lovely staff.

Negative experience: This gym tries to appeal to everyone but thats the very reason it falls short on so many aspects for me. The gym area itself is full of top machinery, could be more weight around ‘cuz it happened to me not once, that somebody next to me took weights off of my machine while i was using it just because there wasn’t any free weights around. The small gym inside the gym is just a waste of space - they could’ve used that space as a streching/core room, instead the only place available for that is basically a corridor with people passing thru all the time. The ladies only room is a nice touch. Climbing wall is nothing special but its the only one in town. There’s also a posing room with adjustable lighting. Overall the training part is what you would expect from a decent gym. The membership also includes a variety of group classes from pilates to yoga and some fluorescent zumba thingy as well. The dressing room and spa area however is a disaster. The area where the lockers are is super small, has only one bech that is being used as a diaper changing station whenever there are kids swimming classes. The spa area is less than relaxing even on a quiet day but before/during/after the kids swimming classes it just turns into a daycare basically. Small kids running around peeking into saunas and changing rooms, try relaxing when there is 20something screaming five year olds splashing in a pool next to you. Not to mention that the ‘ice bath’ , which is basically a big bucket, is also located next to the pool so its unavailable to use during these times. I would personally not use this pool after the kids and i would like to think the staff cleans it often and well, however i did not see any signs informing me of cleaning times so i would be suspicious on other days as well. Besides the small kids, the other attendees of the gym aren’t pleasant either. Seen multiple people who im pretty sure were on something just clowning around on equipment, tweens walking around in groups laughing like horses (how can underage kids even be able to attend this gym without supervision is beyond me). Also its seems like the uniform for this gym is old leggings+big shirt combo, as a women if you wear anything else expect a LOT of looks from both men and fellow women. Overall the vibes of this gym are giving judgy. Honestly the place has a lot of potential but at the current time it’s not worth the price tag. Paying premium price for a mediocre experience .
Negative experience: Starting with the price we are talking $22 per week, we are therefore in the category of premium gym. With this in mind I am expecting some services that, even though are offered, don't reflect the price. Let's start with the pro: first of all equipment, brand new machinery, very smooth and lots in quantity, as well as a position for weightlifting crossfit and everything else, but there is, in my opinion, a little lack of free weight compensated by the quality of machinery; the climbing wall, it is not much but it's the only one in town and it is included; the staff are extra nice and deserve a mention and finally the posing room, very nice idea and well executed. Why the 2 stars then? It all comes down to the extra services provided that, even if present, don't reflect the price. I would give 5 stars if we were talking of half price and even half of the facilities. Starting from the weight room itself there isn't a proper stretching area, the only area is at the front and you have to share it with people using the red strip for farm walk, pushing etc, even though they have a nice little space at the back that it's instead used as a small gym in the gym. Continuing we have the boxing gym with a beautiful ring, sadly it's taking 70% of the space and you can only use it during courses leaving very little space for you if you want to throw some punches alone. A shame given the dimension of the space where the gym is located. Biggest flaw at the end comes down to the spa section: the cold bath can be used only by one person at the time, the pool it's pretty small and uninviting, the sauna and steam room are cramped together with the locker room next to each other, no hangers and not ideal for relaxing and most important, the reason why I am giving 2 stars and not 3 of 4 as initially though, the kids in the locker room. It happens that the pool that you are paying $22 p/w to use, to decompress, it is also used by a horde of little kids that do their lovely swimming lessons in there. Not only you will not be able to use it, but the whole space in front of the pool, where the cold bath is located, will be full of moms that, rightfully, keep an eye on the kids. The whole spa relaxing area became a jungle, with kids peeking into the sauna (by by privacy) kids peeking into the male locker room and the female locker room became a diaper changing area on the only bench available. Let's just not talk about the pool water afterwards, I do sincerely want to believe that the staff will sanitize the pool after they leave. This experience really makes me think why do I have to pay such a premium price if in the only time were I might be able to use the facilities it feels like being in a kindergarten with 0 privacy? Overall is a good gym if you will not use the spa, are into courses, since they offer a variety of courses and are willing to spend a premium price for just getting a glorified lifting room.

Negative experience: too many dancey Pilates baby mums and loud ass music, what happened to bodybuilding gyms
We are sorry that happy dancing pilates mums are not your thing, Thats why we have a reformer room for them and a very large weight section for body builders. If you found yourself in the wrong section by mistake then im sure one of our friendly staff can point you back in the right direction.
Fantastic experience: I was with Bundaberg world gym for about 4 years even before moving into a giant shopping mall and getting a huge upgrade it was 5 stars My only complaint is that weights are often completely out of order and there needs to be some more organisation. Other than that it’s a fantastic gym with a fantastic amount of amenities.

Negative experience: Having to pay more for access to the whole gym area upstairs is crazy
re referring to our Platinum membership which allows access to reformer and wG30. These are only two zones of the upstairs area. As a general member you will have access to the boxing zone, main studio and yoga studio up stairs. Platinum members have extra access to classes designed by personal trainers and thereby the access to use our specialised wg30 zone. Our Platinum members love this. General members have use of every other area of the gym including cycle, aqua, rock wall, ladies only gym, comfort gym, over 160 weight machines, sauna, steam room, ice bath, creche, posing room, large changerooms and our pro shop and supps area which is fair to say very much worth it.
Positive experience: Gym is okay but generally not well kept. Also a lot of noisy posers and people filming themselves which is mildly concerning. Standard have definitely dropped since the previous location.
Good Morning, Thanks for your feedback. We encourage a positive atmosphere in our gym and encourage our members to do the same. We encourage our trainers to film safety, form and how to videos for our socials. We will remind members also to be respectful to those in the background if they are filming. Sometimes young members get excited and love to hype up their friends when training and if it was too loud staff would ask them to tone it down a little. We do not wish for anyone to feel someone else's training is causing them to not enjoy theirs so please come and see management with times and dates and we can talk to those involved.
Positive experience: World Gym made it difficult to cancel. 1st stated had to wait 2 weeks which l did then stated another 30 days before cancellation. However on complaing they waived my 30 day lock in period
i am glad that you were able to have your 30 days waived. All contracts clearly show all requirements and cancellation policies when you sign up. you are also given a copy of these forms via email. We do our best to ensure all members are aware of the policies and obligations when joining as is usual with other gyms. we appreciate your feedback and are sorry to see you go. We will endeavour to make sure staff and members are clear about the terms in future so as to not cause any confusion.
Negative experience: I am on holidays visiting a friend who attends this gym, and signed up to the 5day trial + paid for 2 pilates classes. The gym itself is great and has a vast array of amenities. Yet, the pilates classes I have attended were not great whatsoever. The studio is beautiful, but the instructor was unqualified. I am an instructor personally, trained by Barre Body, but I felt very disoriented and confused in these pilates classes due to the instructor’s instructions. I had verbalised I needed assistance multiple times in the class, and was only provided assistance from fellow classmates. The instructor had looked my way but did not assist whatsoever. I needed help setting up the reformer, as it was a type of bed i’d not used before, but she did not assist. I found this incredibly disappointing, as I had paid $40 for two classes, and had been ignored both classes. Additionally, she did not explain positions thoroughly and I found myself having to look around the room and copy others, as some moves she explained were not with pilates terminology. This can lead to injuries. Disappointed.

Positive experience: Great range of equipment and amenities, however it's over priced, and recently the cleanliness has been pretty piss poor. The previous janitor, a lady with tattoos and a bubbly personality kept the place in fantastic condition, now the time schedule is stupid, the place is the dirtiest I've seen it, and even something as simple as making sure the auxiliary bathroom is unlocked and available when they're cleaning the main bathrooms doesn't happen. Also the soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms doesn't dispense soap OR hand sanitiser?! What's with that.

Positive experience: Awesome gym with heaps of equipment, but for the price it charges just for a casual gym membership is ridiculous! You’d think for the price they charge you’d get some complimentary coaching and classes included. The equipment is good and it’s cool that it has a pool and sauna and a ladies only gym area, but not much different from what you’d find at other gyms, just more of it. They had lots of drink options and a little cafe, but as expected that was all really expensive too. Cool to checkout as a day thing but no way would I pay for their monthly membership. I would recommend getting a membership at a cheaper gym, which has just as good equipment and facilities.
Hello Ella, just to make you aware, general membership includes all classes on the aqua and main timetable which is over 30 classes a week. Positive experience: Great gym with plenty of space, new equipment, a wide range of classes and a creche. My only criticism is that the Les Mills classes don't seem to always run as advertised on the timetable depending on staff availability, but all the classes I have attended have been enjoyable nonetheless

Fantastic experience: The staff at World Gym Bundaberg are fantastic. My kids live it and I’m enjoying the free time to do my work out while they do their workouts.

Fantastic experience: The new mega gym is incredible, it has everything you need! A membership here should be mandatory, haha! It's clean, spacious, and the staff are lovely, apart from one guy that I've never seen smile, but no real harm is done there :)

Fantastic experience: So I signed up the 5 day free trial. I had never been in a World Gym before as I thought they were just too intimidating for someone like me (53 year old woman). I could not have been more wrong. Firstly I was greeted by the loveliest and polite staff at the front counter so I immediately felt at ease. Then there were the facilities! It’s like it’s own little city, everything is catered for. I am disappointed that I cannot access everything on offer but I just don’t have time. Everything was easily accessible and easy to use. The only thing I would suggest is to always ensure there is paper towel available at all times and encourage the wiping down of machines after use (just good hygiene). Thanks World Gym for my very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Everytime I come to Bundaberg on holiday I train at World Gym Bundy. With a load of other gyms in Bundaberg available I always come here because the staff are always friendly, the weights are always heavy and the pumps are always maximal!

Fantastic experience: The best gym iv ever been too unlimited supply of mechianes to work out on, areas for boxing, stretching, yoga z weight lifting cardiovascular mechianes, weight mechianes cable mechianes , the owner is respectful and polite, the place is clean, music for moderation, can not fold the place I've been to a lot of gyms in qld and its number one

Fantastic experience: Bloody huge gym, plenty of space for a lot of people to be in there at once, and even for my wheelchair. Lots of different equipment. Ben is the owner and is a great guy.
Positive experience: Great gym in all aspects... But, only one short bar for over 12x pullies. Let's remember there is high demand for this at almost all hours.
