Negative experience: Cut my self on the seat staff didn’t have first aid and they didn’t ask me how it happend When I told them the problem they didn’t want to do anything about it and she was rude

Negative experience: I would not recommend this gym. The toilets and showers are not cleaned regularly. The staff are very rude, equipment is old with half the machines broken at any one time. The building is about to collapse with the roof leaking every time it rains. When I approached staff about these issues, I was told to look elsewhere for my training needs so I suggest everyone else do the same.

Negative experience: After submitting an enquiry to potentially sign up, I received a text tell me to come in anytime during the staffed hours so that I could be shown around ect. I went to the carlingford store on Friday the 5th at around 10am. I walked up to the door and rung the doorbell 3 times and no one answered. I went back to the car and proceeded to call the store number twice and was met with the answering machine, so I left. I later contacted the number that had originally contacted me and told them that I had gone to the gym and no one answered the door or phone. It has now been almost a week and I have heard nothing back from the store or the worker I was texting with. Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Will definitely be going a different gym

Negative experience: This gym is incredibly unclean, and most of the members don't bother to use towels. Placing a can of deodorant at the front doesn't solve the issue. It's unpleasant! Update December 2023 - See picture attached. Need COVID?

Negative experience: I joined Anytime Fitness because they have much cleaner bathrooms. Additionally, I frequently experienced disruptions during my workouts and encountered poor customer service at Carlingford Plus Fitness. This review is intended for other users only, so please refrain from commenting on it. You guys only cover your tracks with excuses

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Carlingford Plus Fitness. The gym members continuously harassed me to put the weights away during my workout. When I asked the staff for assistance, they flatly refused, claiming it was not their responsibility to clean the gym and re-rack weights. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise against joining this gym. I have switched to another gym where I am being treated properly.

Negative experience: You won't find a peaceful and quiet workout environment here. I experienced disruptions while using two machines during our session and had to deal with the inconvenience of re-racking weights in the middle of my workout. It's important to note that there is no mention of the requirement to put weights away in the contract. Everyone understands the significance of re-racking weights, but it shouldn't occur while we're actively exercising. Moreover, offensive and discriminatory language was directed at me during our interaction. The gym owner hired a supervisor responsible for tasks like re-racking weights, maintaining cleanliness, and effectively communicating with customers. Unfortunately, Chloe (or whoever was on duty on 18/9/23 at lunch time) was unable to address the issue and failed to carry out these responsibilities properly.

Negative experience: The worst most disgusting gym you could possibly go to. Very much like a dive and as such attracts that kind of clientele. If you are a woman, you are definitely not safe going out there, especially later at night. Rude patrons use the gym, swear the whole time, and talk disgustingly about women and that is why I left. They then did not honour what they had told me. When I said to the guy working there why I was leaving, his answer was "sorry you feel that way". What he should have said was " that is unacceptable and I will send out an email blast to all members telling them that that behaviour is not acceptable". Instead he thought that that was ok behaviour and had no intention to do anything about it. As a woman, I felt really unsafe and too scared to be alone with a group of men acting that way. Also I was told that the money I gave for the key was a bond and when I handed it back in, I would get my money back, now they refuse to give me my money. Their excuse is that the guy who use to work there, doesn't anymore and he told me the wrong thing so too bad. Stay well away, especially if you are a woman. There are much better, cheaper and safer places to go.

Negative experience: my Y10 child had membership for some time, upon cancelation request, they suggested to pause it few months, then without any notice, they been charging to my card while my child never went back a single day. for my refund request, they say they are not responsible, no refund can be given while my child never attend since. emails sent up to their instruction saying the owner is in Queensland, no response at all. I strongly not recommned here

Negative experience: Never on business hours also they receive calls, i wanted to pause my membership for some time once i was able to do that easily with just one phone call, this second time they says you have to visit in person during staff hours. Regarding this in email and phone received different answers.neither they have send or showed me their updated terms and conditions furthermore they don't have any flexibility in anything, if someone has already contacted them way long ago and kept consistently everyone aware of the thing i want, they have only and only their way in their terms and conditions. I would like to say to them they aren't the last gym on the planet. And more interestingly they even appointed a third party fund collection agency to get the money out. and lastly A/C's and fans are almost always turned off or too low .... and lastly in the joining form despite clearly writing my name and phone numbers they never ever are able to find me on the system, they had misspelled my name while adding twice.... unprofessional

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!! I have been going for almost 4 years and it’s really amazing. I love the set up of the gym and how the machines are spaced out and how there is a separate room for floor work, cardio machines deadlifts and the common gym area with all the other weights and equipment. Great customer service and communication. Staff are super friendly and really accommodating. 100% recommend!!! So far been really happy with this gym :) Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: Vince and the team at Plus Fitness Carlingford are just awesome. Beautiful clean gym, great equipment and helpful happy staff. One of the few Plus Fitness locations with not one but two lifting platforms. Great atmosphere for younger lifters too, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym. I recently joined from another Gym nearby and can say that this is much better. The staff are great and there are no ego's. It is good to see people in the gym training hard. It is always kept very clean and they have good rules on re racking weights and using towels.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, good shower facilities. Has plenty of essential gym equipment for cardiovascular and strength training. There is some space for floor exercises as well. Be wary of the gym rules, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking right at the door, however it may be hard to access during peak hour traffic.

Negative experience: This gym ripped off my daughter to the tune of over $2000. She cancelled her contract and they kept taking the money. Taking this to NSW Obudsmen.

Fantastic experience: It is a private and spaced out area their are meany machines to use, but their is always someone private you can go. Their is a shower, bathroom and vending machine

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, staffing hours are a bit vague as they can disappear for hours. Some gym goers are loud and obnoxious and it is rather small (especially in empty space for stretching) but decent gym. Needs more cardio range beyond treadmills though. Edit: Giving them an extra star because they updated the gym with big fans and more equipment.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and friendly members. Regulars are just as happy to go about their business as well as help with any questions. It's a great space to work out. Opening up out the back has made a massive difference. There is heaps of parking downstairs if the upstairs parking is full.
