Positive experience: Great staff, but the equipment is really getting dated. The premises are very dated, stains on the ceilings, air conditioning barely doing its job, very cramped and needs a top to bottom revamp.

Negative experience: Card got scammed day before flying out. Got charged a $10 late fee on top of quarterly fee. (Debitsuccess knew why my old card couldn't be charged) Told Good Life Cottesloe I didn't have a card for a week. When I did I paid immediately their email came in. Reply on the $10 query was... sorry part of contract. No way to override. Poor outcome Good Life management.. Clearly no flex in the ' computer' system. This may well cost them a membership next year.

Negative experience: The financial management of one of the memberships that I have paid for has been appalling. Management have not taken responsibility for mistakes nor compensated me for their many errors. I would rate 0 stars if Google would let me. 1. First promise was that I would not be charged anything if I was to freeze any of the memberships I was paying for. I froze one membership and then was charged. 2. I was refused to transfer the remainder of one of the memberships to the other memberships I was paying for. I was told it could not be done but it could be assigned to a non-member. Put simply, it was about selling another membership rather than rewarding existing and paying customers or customer satisfaction because they can easily extend your membership if you refer someone to their club. 3. I then took steps to transfer the remainder of one of my memberships to another person (as this was my only option). This process commenced in June 2024 and to this day they have still got it wrong (despite all the emails and conversations). Despite wasting my time and incorrectly charging another person they refused to immediately cancel the membership (and cease charging someone) or offer the people who have suffered detriment one month free membership. 4. Due to the gross mismanagement of one of the memberships I requested the membership be cancelled. I was informed I would have to pay Goodlife for the privilege. That is, I have to continue to pay for a service that they have not delivered as agreed. Further, they informed me that I had been using my personal membership after it has expired and I am required to pay per entry even though I was in Italy at the time I was purportedly using my Cottesloe membership. This is one of many poor management examples and no one seems to know what they are doing and there is no management responsibility or accountability. 5. The gym is not well cleaned, the floors have multiple sweat drops on the floor at 5.55am in the morning (and prior to the start of the class) and the water fountain is very dirty. 6. I have arrived at the gym at 5.55am and the gym is not open because no one turned up. On other occasions the fitness instructor has not turned up and the person at the front desk does not have their phone number to call them. 7. I would avoid becoming a member of this gym. Once they have your bank details the service and sales pitch ends. I paid for 4 memberships and look how they treated me.

Fantastic experience: I had a couple for free personal training sessions with my yearly gym membership and Bruno the PT helped me a greatly with my shoulder issues. I highly recommend him, thank you Bruno. Just gave four stars because the gym use to offer discounted personal training session packages and I wish they still had these.

Negative experience: Disappointing service from the managers. Consistently overcharging my daughters for their membership, and now double charging one of them. Manager refusing to call me to discuss, resolve or refund. Strongly recommend going elsewhere guys - unless you’re happy to be ripped off that is. Plenty more options on the Highway

Negative experience: I used to be a member of this gym and looking at joining up again. Scared off by all the reviews over what should be easily resolved administration matters. No responses either from management on here. Very poor. It’s an issue of trust and I’m worried about direct debuting my card with this location. Scared off and looking elsewhere for the moment until the “newest” reviews don’t throw up so many issues.

Negative experience: I used to come in this fitness club during my years in Perth, I lived in Cottesloe and this gym was close to my home. I went 2 weeks ago, It’s stacked in the past, nothing new, no new equipment, same sowers (old now). Only positive thing is the reception staff; really gentle. It needs a generous renovation And location of course, in Cottesloe which is the best area of Perth.

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, good price and lots of classes that you can attend. The changing rooms and showers are great and I love going there! The gym is spacious and has lots of equipment and they are open for long hours to suit everyone’s needs

Negative experience: I found the gym to be wonderful. Due to personal challenges I wasn’t using my membership. I cancelled. All good right? Wrong. Goodlife Cottesloe debited my account for 3 months after cancelling. Multiple emails and phone calls had to be made to rectify. Shifted blame to the debiting company. No accountability. I would use with extreme caution. It’s been 6 months since I cancelled and I still had to spend my morning waiting on hold and arguing with a worker who would not provide me with her full name. Which I requested because I do not feel like there is accountability or staff stand by their word.

Negative experience: Such a bad experience for me, Tate was really nice when he was trying to get me to sign up and then as soon as I was a member that was the last time anybody was helpful. I asked about cancellation fees and was told there were none, yet when I cancelled there was suddenly a month cancellation period I was never told about. Fine, no worries, can I please cancel. Confirmed twice it was cancelled and was still charged for 3 months after the one month window. I called to get a refund and was given 5 weeks refund. Called again to get the other 5 weeks and asked 3 different times for a confirmation so I knew what was going on and didn’t have to keep phoning. By the 6th time calling they knew my name and were annoyed that I was calling even though its been 6 weeks waiting for a $180 refund. I work as a hotel receptionist, I know that refunds are not this complicated…. Really poor service, I’m only leaving this review because the guy I just talked to, (Ethan I think?) was so rude and impatient even though I’ve remained really calm and nice through the whole process.

Negative experience: I would avoid this place, they’ve got a line in their agreement where they can change times of open/closing at their discretion without being able to terminate your agreement. They just changed the times from 9pm close to 8pm close without informing anyone after joining a few weeks ago, which is integral for my work times, what a joke.

Negative experience: I emailed Goodlife to pause my account whilst I was going international, not only did they not action this, they never responded. I emailed again to cancel the membership 4 weeks later, as I was permanently relocating, no response. I emailed again, no response. After 3 months of them continuing to debit my account I get a phone call to confirm my membership would be cancelled, nothing about all the charges that had been taken during this time. I then get an email asking me to pay a cancellation fee, to which I responded querying it, did I get a response in return? No. I have now got an email from a debt collector with a fee 8 times the amount. Of the “cancellation” fee. Besides the fact it’s an average at best gym, the staff are completely incompetent and the businesses couldn’t care less about its clientele Avoid at all cost.

Negative experience: I hope that the management reads the reviews from dissatisfied customers and decides finally to change their attitude. The people at the front desk and the blonde manager lady are AWFUL. Rude and inconsiderate. I initially signed up for the membership without even trialing the gym - they were super happy to take my money! But when I visited them in person within the 7 day cool down period (before the membership even commenced FYI!) and said I wanted to trial the gym FIRST on a 5 day trial AND THEN sign up.. they told me that won’t be possible because I’m technically already a member!! This was literally before my membership even started and it was the first time I even stepped my foot onto the gym.. all I wanted was to check the equipment and the classes were a right fit for me! Before becoming a paying member.. They said no! And cancelled my membership.. What a way to antagonise a customer! Way to go guys! Soon you will upset everyone by your nasty attitude to people in the local community.. word of mouth spreads fast. I’ve been treated so appallingly I would rather travel out of the way than ever give a dollar of my money to go to these horrible peoples wages.

Negative experience: Has anyone seen the reviews for Snap Fitness? Not just 5 stars, but a response from the owner to every one of them! I want to go there. A gym is not a vending machine. Even if it was like a vending machine, the owner still has a responsibility to provide what has been paid for and respond to customers. I changed gyms because my last one didn't respond to customer complaints; basically watching money coming in without maintenance. I thought this would be different; more expensive and more restricted hours, but worth it. Again, I find out that the same customer complaints are just ignored. It's impossible to do HIIT on a machine at this gym. To change speed from 4 to 7, you have to hit the increase speed button 30 times. And another 30 times to decrease back to 4. Are you kidding?

Fantastic experience: Gee whiz - can't understand why there's lots of bad reviews for this gym. I've been going there on almost a daily basis for years. Easy to get to. Good value. Always found the staff friendly and attentive. More than enough and variety of equipment. Group classes are a bonus.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Perth about 6 years ago and joined Goodlife, Cottesloe 4 years ago I had never been a member of a gym before it was the best thing I ever did I enjoy going to the group fitness classes the instructors are really awesome and motivated and biggest bonus I made some really great close friends from going to classes regularly. Which is so important when you move somewhere new.

Negative experience: The gym is fine, but not well run. They charged for a service they could not provide, took ages to agree to a refund - and now months later, still not resolved... promises that fade away and a manager that seems to hide behind the front desk team.

Negative experience: Gripe of the day. People in Goodlife health club Cottesloe who think that lockers are for other people. And staff who are too afraid of confrontation to politely explain to them that they need to use a locker. Bags create a trip hazard, take up room and add confusion over if someone is using a piece of equipment or just not bothered to move their bag. I have reported this many times over the years but nothing ever changes. Just wish there was another similar gym close to home. Alternatively the management could do their job……

Negative experience: ***Do not join, beware!*** Staff unaware of deals advertised by head office. When trying to use the “bring a friend deal” introducing a number of potential new customers for the gym, I was questioned everytime and told this “wasn’t a deal” (had to show them every time on their own electronic billboards inside the gym that it was) After becoming fed up with the incompetency and rudeness of staff I asked to withdraw my membership. Was told I needed to give this notice a month in advance so waited a month. In the meantime moved across the country and noticed was still being debited 3mths later. After contacting the gym and explaining the situation I was met with the managers “aww sorry bro but we don’t have your request to leave on file so you’ll have to wait another month” needless to say that month didn’t work either. It was like leaving a pyramid scheme or Scientology. $500 out of pocket. Tried multiple times to contact higher managers and explain the situation but they also brushed me off. Don’t join, been a member of multiple other franchises across the country and this is by far the worst I’ve ever joined.

Negative experience: I made several attempts to contact head office to make a complaint about the manager, Jayme, who repeatedly screamed at me to get out of the club when I calmy and politely pulled her and her staff up on huddling together (4 or 5 of them) behind the counter during to tightest covid restrictions right before gyms were shutdown. A trainer, Adrian, then mocked me as I as walked away and continued loudly mocking me even when I was outside the doors. Utterly disgusting and professional behaviour. And appalling that head office has ignore my complaints entirely. Goodlife sure knows how to pick their managers!

Positive experience: Well equipped gym with weightlifting and cardio sections. What I like most about it is the CrossFit area, however where circuits training and PT sessions take place.

Negative experience: An ok small club. They have, in the past, taken equipment out and not replaced it, ie, a punching bag. Very disappointing. The club Manager (Dan) has NO skills in replying to member's repeated enquiries or feedback (7 attempts) also not great... No pool/spa/sauna wet area either.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, i stood outside and ate Pocorn Chicken, taunting their lycra clad forms, watching Pavlovian responses. For dessert, Ben and Jerrys ice cream Favourite flavour? Aged Smegma Slightly melted? No Brablem Blue Poles, it was not Yet as i used a fit pack spoon to flick the ice cream against the glass, i became aroused I lifted my shirt and rubbed my flab against their transluscent shield and right then, i saw the love of my life... The half empty ice cream carton Ben and Jerrys Bj Now i call her Fifi Sorry, incorrect Fifi1 Now calling fifi22! Thank you Goodlife

Fantastic experience: I've seen some comments around contract and state of gym and have to say both are misunderstood or unfair. Contractual stuff is part and parcel how most gyms work and the manager (who was lovely and helpful) was very clear up front with what options were available and what the commitment would be. The state of the gym is perfectly fine - its far from tired and has everything one would need to get in a solid session in the gym. Lots of trainers around to help out and no need or pressure to force yourself into the "cult of the circuit community (F45, Cross, Orange etc)" which isn't (necessary or needed) for everyone. If you're a self starter and have a fair idea on how to navigate a gym... this one is great.

Negative experience: I have been using this gym for the past 3 years and have finally got to the point of saying enough is enough, it is time to find a new gym. Goodlife in Cottesloe is tired and worn out, with older equipment that is tatty and it is in need of refurbishment. Just like the shopping centre it sits in. It doesn't open early enough on a weekday and it has short hours on a weekend that are a pain. On the plus side some of the classes are good and enjoyable.

Positive experience: Well I love this place because it is convenient and it is a familial gym but, they need to work on the cleanliness of this place and maybe think about renovated a little bit . Also I know personal trainers are for people who pay for it but when someone ask a little help about a machine just to know how it works please don't say you don't know . I pay a membership and I don't know how all the machines work.

Fantastic experience: Just found out about Brendan Thompson's passing. It's management's hiring of employees like him that make this gym a six out of five star place. I'm deeply sadden to learn that I will no longer see such a wonderful person at the counter anymore. I'll always remember the legacy he left behind as such a helpful gentlemen.
