Anytime Fitness Geraldton

Fantastic experience: Okay ..I’ve been a member for about 5-6 months. It’s very clean with plenty of room between equipment. Staff are attentive and friendly. I have recently had a major knee surgery and was offered a “timeout “ if I required one ( I decided to try to work through). The members are friendly without being “too friendly “ if you get my drift. It turned out to be a very good experience.

Negative experience: Spacious gym where the equipment stays broken for months, and the drink fountain is out of order most of the time. I couldn't care less about the water, but now I've been trying to cancel my membership for 6 weeks and I'm still getting charged weekly for my membership fee. I've contacted AF Geraldton by email, instagram, have contacted AF customers service. AF customers service responds within 24 hours but says AF Geraldton manages the membership, yet AF Geraldton has ignored all of my emails except once asking if I would like to freeze my membership instead of cancelling. This has become extremely frustrating and feels rude. When my membership is finally cancelled I will be sure never to sign up again. I do not recommend AF Geraldton to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined this gym and couldn’t be happier with my choice! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making every visit enjoyable. I really appreciate the unisex bathrooms, which is such an inclusive touch for all my non-binary and gender-fluid peeps. The gym is always clean and spacious, with all the basics you need for a solid workout. I’ve only encountered one machine that wasn’t working, but there are plenty of other options available. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and well-equipped gym!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Anytime Fitness Geraldton since December 2023 and my experience there has been nothing but good vibes and a great atmosphere. The new staff there are doing an absolutely amazing job, you can really see them putting in effort to get the gym back on track and they are very friendly and always assisting members with any questions. 100% recommend, Huge gym and an amazing community of people here!

Fantastic experience: Awesome Gym, the staff are so lovely! Always quite busy, but that just says how great the space is. Even while it's busy, I don't feel like I'm fighting for equipment or squeezing past people.

Negative experience: A lot of the equipment needs repairing and had been out of order for literally months. They struggle to keep cleaners so it is often filthy, especially the showers and toilets. I emailed a complaint and have not received a reply and found out today that admin told gym staff they are ignoring my complaint. And today there is another hazard formed where the floor is lifting. Maybe the owners will change their mind about repairs and maintenance when someone gets injured due to poor upkeep of facilities and infrastructure.

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP!!!! This gym is by far the worst maintained gym I’ve ever been to. The equipment is is so poorly maintained with lots of the equipment remaining “out of order” for months at a time. Complaints about the gym through the anytime fitness website are NEVER responded to and issues never addressed. Promises of “will be fixed before the end of the month” are often thrown out there to soothe your frustrations only to be even more frustrated at months end when it’s still broken. Finally they’ve employed a cleaner to clean the gym, prior to this the place was an absolute state. Anytime fitness are forever offering special offers and discounts on the social media pages but never actually compensate their customers who have been paying for years and dealing with the constant neglected equipment and poor staffing. I’d highly recommend considering the other gyms in Geraldton.

Positive experience: The size and look of the place is fantastic, bigger than my usual gym in Perth and had extra equipment that i dont have access to, but the machines in Geraldton are old, run down and outdated and would suit more a home gym than a professional gym.

Fantastic experience: Lovely environment, staff is very nice and welcoming and overall great experience.

Negative experience: Free weights are great, PTs are fantastic. Gym maintenance remains poor, equipment is left in poor condition for months without attention.

Negative experience: How long will three of the crucial machines be broken for this time? 3 months? 6 months? "Parts have been ordered" signs everywhere for months on end. Are they shipped by row boat?

Negative experience: Totally agree with comments from Dan Leunig, and despite anytime fitness assurances, nothing much has changed, broken and poorly maintained equipment, toilets filthy and out of paper, faulty locks, no cleaners again. Soon they will need to place signs on the machines that actually work as faulty ones will out number those that work or safe to use. Patrons in bare feet, no towels used, no manager onsite. Albany, Bunbury and Mandurah were professionally run but Geraldton is a shocker. $18.95 per week is not value for money. The convenient location to me is why I have persevered, but will have to cancel my membership if things are not going to change.

Negative experience: EDITED: IT HAS BEEN MONTHS SINCE I POSTED THIS REVIEW AND MORE EQUIPMENT HAS BROKEN AND NOT YET BEEN FIXED, THE WATER FOUNTAIN DOESNT WORK PROPERLY. But hey at least they fixed the lock on the disabled toilet I have been a member of anytime fitness before moving to Geraldton, the clubs in Perth are fine. However the Geraldton franchise is sub par at best. I was hoping with the opening of the new gym at the start of this year I would have my opinion changed. However the new gym has a fresh look with the same old issues. Old equipment which is either faulty or completely out of order. -Cable machine has been broken for 6+ months - leg extension machine has broken handles - dip machine is not working - reduced to one adjustable bench for the whole gym - seated row machine wobbles on one side - toilet lock on the disable toilet has been broken for months with a new lock ‘on the way’ - water fountain has now stopped working - cross trainer out of order - padding on lots of different equipment has exposed foam There is probably other broken/faulty equipment I have forgot to list. I have emailed anytime fitness directly more than once to address the issues and have not even received an acknowledgment of my concerns. I am a very patient person however it’s got to the point where it is ridiculous and myself and my friends are looking to cancel membership and move to Snap fitness, I’d encourage anyone looking to join to look elsewhere. It would be nice for the gym to look after long term members rather than ignoring issues and continually offering specials to try and attract new member. Retention is just as important as new members.

Positive experience: I joined this gym about 3 months ago. Overall its a nice gym with great showers, toilets etc however, I have noticed in the last few visits that several machines are now broken and not usable. Not such an issue if you have more than one of each but as a small gym if a machine is broken it is noticeable. I feel a bit ripped off to be honest as I had to lock into a contract and now have equipment I can't use. When will this be resolved?

Negative experience: Equipment is still falling apart and visibly degrades with each visit. The carpark outside has less dirt than the rubber inside and blatant false advertising regarding "state of the art facilities" when the only new additions are a few squat racks and dumbbells. Anytime Fitness, please remedy the issues in your geraldton club. Clubs in the city have a much nicer and wider array of equipment that should be the standard across the board.

Fantastic experience: Brand new gym with a modern look, great equipment and plenty of space. Due to a lack of supplement stores in Geraldton I would suggest maybe getting some supplements to sell and perhaps a vending machine for members.

Negative experience: Toilets are discusting and need regular cleaning, equipment is not maintained and as a new member to Geraldton i hope the new gym opening in a few weeks will be better managed.

Negative experience: Hopeless customer service, emailed these guys 3 times over the last month about canceling my gym membership as I’m not located near a anytime anymore. No reply, and still taking money out.

Fantastic experience: The people here at Anytime Fitness Geraldton are so kind and helpful. They answer all my questions and queries. The cleanliness of the gym is amazing and the gym has all the equipment I need to train.

Positive experience: Overall a great gym, needs a little TLC here and there and some machines need a bit of fixing up to do but apart from that it’s a great gym, got me out of my comfort zone and the staff and other gym goers are all friendly and helpful!

Fantastic experience: You will not find better customer service anywhere in Geraldton! Angela, Tim, Tane are all great! Genuinely nice, Genuinely care. Gym is a bit old but they do their best to get stuff fixed for us. E.g ceilings can leak a bit but that's not really the gym teams fault, they got equipment reupholstered. I imagine it's a tedious and long process but the staff in the club always try to help and update us when you speak to them and bring questions or concerns to them just think the place needs an upgrade.

Fantastic experience: Amazing spacious facility with the best equipment, supportive staff (Tim and Angela are the best!). I love training here and highly recommend this gym for people of all fitness levels!
