Positive experience: Friendly staff, great price and love the use of the spa facilities which include massage chairs, red light therapy, spray tan etc. The gym itself caters more for beginners as there are no squat racks available and certain other machines missing. Some of the pin loaded machines jump up in weight too much with no way to add just 2.5-5kg extra. I am therefore a member of this gym for the spa facilities and go to a different gym to do my proper workouts and to use the sauna. Being able to bring a friend during staffed hours is another great plus. All in all, very happy I joined as a 2nd gym. Thanks PF Chermside.

Positive experience: Good for those getting started/back into the swing of gym things. Doesn't cater for weight lifting, doesn't have racks etc. Overall not a bad gym and conveniently priced. Please enforce the towel rule though. There were ALOT of times where I was a member, it was busy and so many people don't use towels/wipe down equipment after use. Love people getting out there, getting it done, no judgement we all sweat. But please enforce the towel rule .

Fantastic experience: Definitely one if not the best gyms on the northside! Not only are the staff wonderful and inviting, but there is loads of equipment that's clean and new! And all of it works!! (Snap fitness step yo' game up!) I have the bla k card membership and I tell you it's worth every dollar! The hydro beds omg so good after a long day and a big workout, the wellness pod is relaxing and you can get a spray tan!!A SPRAY TAN!??!!? ...yep as well as many other amenities there are classes, I can't wait to get to one.. but just the atmosphere alone.. its not a gym, it's a fitness club! And there's plenty of room for you, to "fit'n'disclub" big up yo selfs planet fitness chermside!

Fantastic experience: The price is amazing for what you get. Great staff, well-maintained equipment, free water, and extra features like massage-chairs and waterjet-beds for just $5 extra per week. The only issue was the fact there are no free-weight bars, just 4 smith machines.

Fantastic experience: I love it here! I thought the low cost of membership would mean a low-grade gym. But let me tell you - I was wrong! The staff here are so warm, so helpful and even considerate!!! It’s clean! There is so much equipment, if you run past the singular barbell weights, use the smiths. Love the functional section, the 30 min room and the classes included in the membership The facilities are just awesome, especially for the cost. I see the staff clean and fix up/organise equipment. Members clean after themselves (mind you there will always be a few stragglers). Only thing I have to whinge about is that PF needs more gyms central-south. Thanks PF-Chermside for an exceptional service.

Positive experience: Love this gym, it has better amenities than other more expensive gyms I use to go frequent. It gets busy but that's understandable, being a budget-friendly gym. However, where it loses a point for me is that I wish that the front staff had chairs to sit on. They're extremely helpful and friendly but I feel tired just looking at them standing constantly. They can perform their jobs just as effectively if they have a chair to sit on when taking calls and doing admin work. Really enjoying my membership and the perks ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym now for 2 weeks, I had been a member of a different gym for 2 years and was quite nervous to leave but knew I needed a change. At first I was a little skeptic as I didn’t think there where enough machines or cables but after being there for a while and seeing that I can make do i definitely give this place 10/10 !! All the staff I’ve met are so friendly & just give your time to anyone that needs it, I went from a gym that ignored customers coming in and charging you for just wanting to talk to someone to staff that’s just so friendly, and there postive attitudes reflect on to the customers random people walk past say gidday and are friendly, not thinking there better than everyone else. The music is at a good volume and the place is very clean. The only thing that I don’t really like is they let teens in for free which is cool but I’ve noticed they film and take pictures of them self and other people who don’t want to be can be in the picture. But besides that I’m very happy to be with planet fitness and think I’ve found my new second home

Fantastic experience: As a "average" fitness sort of person it has been great to find Planet Fitness at Chermside. The staff are very open, friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. The equipment is very good and there are lots of options to chose from. But for me the most attractive thing about going there is the lack of egos from the other gym goers. It is just normal people, acting real and trying to improve their health and fitness.

Positive experience: A fantastic gym, I love the equipment and the general environment. Lots of lovely people come here. One small gripe - the female manager has never said hello or goodbye to me when I’ve come in and out. Pretty awkward considering the other staff are all amazing. What happened to ‘lead by example’?

Fantastic experience: I love PF Chermside! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The classes are fun, varied and challenging. It has a great atmosphere but also people mind their own business so you feel safe and not judged. $10 a week for the black card spa is awesome. I can’t leave without using the massage chair!

Fantastic experience: This my new home gym, moved here from the Morayfield area. Place is similar, just a bit differently shaped. I wish stretch classes were 30 minutes, the place would be a bit bigger, because it gets busy. Staff is really friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Planet fitness is such a wonderful gym. I recommend them to everyone as they are so affordable and have so much benefits. They have an app that really help me get out of my comfort zone and try new machines as someone who’s quite shy at the gym, this has helped so much. The selling point for me is the spray tans that come included in the black card spa membership. No where else are you finding a beautiful and easy weekly tan for that price.

Negative experience: No help available at this gym. Only 1 pt and there is a 2 month wait for the program that is meant to come with signing up. Cancelled my membership after 2 hours. I was told cannot film yourself to get feedback from online pts or physios, for form or improvement, they also do not offer any assistance in usage of any equiptment. they said I have to do those thing at another gym or at home, because they don't allow pts at all including someone else's program, Adams words were "it's for beginners, so just meander around until you get the hang of it" was really after that community feeling of inclusiveness in a gym and its just not here. They refused to refund, even tho it had been 2 hours and I just kept finding out how lacking and restrictive it was. Used the tan machine and it leaves patches under arms, arm pits and inside legs. This gym isn't even worth it for the "perks" One star because reception was friendly, but all 3 were so il informed every single one of them told me something different and no one was able to give a tour either. I have never felt so intimidated and unwelcome at a gym befor, they actually unsold it to me, because I wanted to go from seeing it online, the actual experience was aweful

Fantastic experience: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PFC !! Around the gym you see the words 'You belong', 'No Critics' and 'Judgement Free Zone' and the managers Chrissie and Shane have done an amazing job of making them not just words, but the atmosphere you feel at PFC From when you come in, you are greeted with a friendly smile, a welcoming hello..and if you want, a chat. Every single one of the PFC Crew are amazing people who have never been anything but friendly, polite, and encouraging... a big part of what makes PFC so great. The gym is always very clean, and the equipment is great and everything i could possibly need. I've loved learning how to use all the various machines, which the staff are always happy to show me how to use The classes at PFC are so so good. Keri is an amazing, friendly trainer who always makes the classes a great workout but also a lot of fun. But she also gets to know you, so she knows your limitations to make sure you don't do anything that could injure yourself And after a workout, there's nothing better than relaxing in one of the Massage or Hydro Chairs, which I've never had to wait long for, if at all. They are so good at relieving muscle pain As long as PFC's vibe, atmosphere, and energy align with the words around the gym, im a member for life :)

Negative experience: Worst experience charges $20 for a trial and we couldn’t even do a workout cause they didn’t have any barbells or free weights like how is that even a gym and when we asked about it they said they don’t carter for weight lifting. Do not recommend if u actually go to a normal gym.

Genuinely left me speechless Josh showed me around and was very candid with me and explained everything super well, excellent guy. Give this man his commission!

Have to say very high about Bec she is so much fun and full of energy good laugh when she is around . Jess , Josh got to say all of you guys are amazing always ready to help . Positive experience: Convenient and cheap. If you're looking for cable weights and treadmill it will do you nicely, but very limited free weights or more functional machines. Not great for more advanced gym users, but if you're just starting out it will probably feel less intimidating. The weight machines lack some vital adjustments which become a bit obvious once the weights gets heavy, and the inbuilt timer is essentially useless as it counts the time of the exercise, but then turns off about 1 minute into the rest period (when most people actually care about time) Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the massage chairs and free tan are nice bonuses.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here since day 1 and a few things are worth a mention.. it’s always clean and welcoming. There’s abundant cardio machines, always plenty and the spa area is generally accessible to get the massage/ pod etc straight away most of the time, staff have been helpful and classes with Keri are a good time! Special s/o to Bek who literally brightens up a visit when she’s there! The banter and service go above and beyond with her (she will go out of her way to help you get the best experience out of a machine or massage chair..literally! There’s a couple of stand out staff members, wish I knew everyone by name (Shane’s a good one too!) the only thing I ever disliked was the lack of rainbow display during Pride Month.. other than that it’s a great place to belong Edit to respond to PF reply here, I did speak to management first obviously.. I brought it to their attention at the beginning of June, nobody “expects” everybody to be aware it’s Pride Month, but once it’s been brought to their attention it’s a choice to take action or not.

Positive experience: First time attending no one offered to show me and my disabled client around or how to use machines until I approached staff and asked. Not a very good, not a courteous start. We'll see how the second visit goes. I do like the purple equipment.

Fantastic experience: Just recently joined, so far so good. Excellent value for money. Have the black card access, the hydro beds are the best. The staffing hours are great, very early morning to evening. Plenty of parking and equipment, admittedly some machines are not as plentiful e.g. chest cable machine. Overall good value and clean.

Negative experience: A staff member who was working out before her shift was very rude to members, so much for the “you belong” that they always say. The male staff was very polite though

Positive experience: Everything about the gym was awesome - the only downfall was a rude staff member. I was using a guest pass with a friend and I haven’t been the gym in 6 months and was checking in the mirror to see how much muscle I had lost. Instead of being polite and informing us of the rules in an informative way, we were essentially threatened to have a strike recorded against our membership. We weren’t rude but the staffer gave us a crazy amount of attitude which has completely turned me off from purchasing a membership there.

Positive experience: Nice new gym. . But please turn the bench/squating rack please haha. Would rather face the mirror instead of looking at a runner on the tread mills haha.
