I live in the northern suburbs, so not only is it convenient but it’s also the most beautifully structured gym that has you motivated to go everyday. Okay okay the features are all pink and cute but the community is where my heart lies. I just love how safe it feels being around fellow empowered women who are all striving to achieve better health and fitness goals. Fantastic experience: This gem of a gym may not be a typical massive gym but it sure has a lot of heart; from the friendly staff, the energising classes to the clean space, it's easy to find support and friendship here. The rate for Personal Training is actually quite competitive considering you have qualified trainers currently studying for their masters expanding knowledge in health and exercise science. Highly recommend this gym if you're looking for a gym that will actually know your name.

Fantastic experience: Cosy 24 hour gym. They even have safety lanyards if you are there after hours and feel the need for extra security. Technique Workshops are available to help you with your workshop. Great Team of friendly staff that are there to assist or if you have any questions. #womensonlygym

Negative experience: Very unhappy with fernwood preston I don't recommend to anyone they are money hunters even though my contract ended and I gave prior notice I don't want to continue they still took 2 debit payments discusting attitude and money hungry never ever again!!!

Fantastic experience: A small but mighty gym! I’ve been a visitor (reciprocal membership) on and off to this gym for 6 years and throughout have been very happy and highly recommend this gym. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive and the gym has a great culture. The first time I visited (I always introduce myself as a visitor) there was a little pressure to transfer my membership but not too much at all and I have never felt overly pressured to join. The gym and cardio room have always been clean and I think they might have the nicest bathroom of any Fernwood (although the placement of the toilets is a little awkward). The culture of the gym is great and I can see great relationships between staff/PTs and members.

Negative experience: Be careful before you sign their membership I was unable to attend the club and went oversea when I saw they took my money $140 and another $140 With Covid situation they still got the money out of me I thought they try to help people but obviously not.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of many gyms prior to joining Fernwood Preston back nearly 3 years ago. I was a member of a Leisure Centre where I felt I was not getting the motivation required to work out and was going on and off. I live locally but when I moved work to a few doors down from Preston and really needed that change, I walked into Fernwood Preston and asked about what was offered. Saw that there was a variety of classes and it had all facilities I needed. Took me all of 24 hours to decide to become a member. Once I joined up back in September 2019 I have not looked back. The team at Fernwood Preston are the most amazing inclusive gym I have ever belonged too. Their classes offered are amazing. Body Combat has fast become my favourite. Being an all women's gym I feel so comfortable no matter how you look you are made to feel comfortable regardless of your fitness level. MT and her team are the absolute best team and during lockdown helped more than they could know with keeping fit and motivated on a mental health level and continue to do so. You are made to feel part of Team Preston instantly. If you are looking for a gym and are not sure and live locally then this is the gym for you. Not to mention 24 hour access! You will not regret it. If I could give more than 5 stars I would :) You will be supported every step of the way for whatever your goals are.

Fantastic experience: Fernwood Preston is by far my favourite gym in Melbourne!! An incredible gym that's well managed thus offers great fitness classes, gym equipment and supportive/friendly staff that makes you feel like second home. I've tried many other gyms in and around Preston and Melbourne, and this gym is still by far the best!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Fernwood Preston has been amazing. The team is friendly, welcoming and very passionate about helping you achieve your fitness goals. Claudia is an amazing PT, she is motivating, very encouraging and always makes PT sessions enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to anyone starting at Fernwood. The circuit classes are one of my favourite group classes, Tash does an amazing job motivating everyone and there is always a great vibe during the class.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! Friendly staff members make everyone feel very welcome and the personal trainers are knowledgeable and genuinely care about your results. It's also a very comfortable and positive atmosphere with a supportive and non-judgmental environment for all women of all ages. The 24hr access is awesome and it's a clean space with quality equipment. There are anti-bac wipes available at many stations in the gym and a staff member is always wiping all the machines down. I feel very safe and comfortable exercising here. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: All the staff are so encouraging, inspiring. It is such a pleasure to walk into a gym that makes you feel comfortable and motivated. All the coaches are professional and tailor the classes to your fitness level, was a bit sceptical about the new virtual PT classes but Natasha has taken them to another level, absolutely love them. Awesome workouts and all the virtual classes are wonderful, helping me to stay fit and motivated in this Covid world of lockdown.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for over 2 years now and I am so glad I made the decision to join. ALL the staff are amazing and I know for me, when I walk through the door, they know exactly how I am feeling. As for my PT, Jess is the bomb!!! I do training with Jess and Zoe the most, both know what i'm capable of, push me to beat myself and don't ever let me give up. This place is my therapy, I spend so much time here and the relationship I have with everyone is definitely evident of that. I highly recommend FERNWOOD PRESTON. Best decision I ever made!!!

Fantastic experience: The gym has handled the Covid-19 situation very well and have implemented a range of alternatives to help members stay active. Personal training is offered online and so are group fitness classes. This is not common with usual commercial gyms so this is what makes Fernwood Preston stand out in this time. Highly recommend at least giving it a go!

Negative experience: Not a great gym , seems like its one of the worst ones in the fernwood brand. staff are amazing, and its at no fault of theirs that i did not like this gym the gym is very small, and very cramped, and is lacking in equipment and proper space. the free weights area is basically non existent, and is also on a slant? Can't expect people to be lifting weights on uneven ground. the cost of membership is high, thats what happens when you go to female only gyms, usually i think it can be justified, but for the preston fernwood unfortunately not.

Positive experience: Parking is a major issue, if a class is popular make sure you turn up 5 - 10 min early. You won't be let into a class late. Maybe park as far away as you can to leave parks for people who can't come early. Maybe park at Beaumont Tiles. Their group fitness/non machine area could be bigger considering their focus is on a cross fit vibe. Stretch "area" almost non existent as a consequence.

Fantastic experience: I recently did a 30 day trail at Fernwood Preston. Such a fun and comfortable environment to work out, and for someone who has not experienced gym life before (or done much exercise), I really enjoyed the classes and the facilities that were provided for me and for other members. All staff members are very helpful and always present themselves with a happy and welcoming manner. Unfortunately, I cannot join full-time at this stage due to work and study commitments, but will 100% consider joining when the time is right!

Negative experience: It was a bad experience for me and i will never do a contract with Fernwood again.

Fantastic experience: Coming to the end of a year of changes and being a member of a gym was high on the list. Could not have asked for a better group of trainers and operators. Very supportive and always encouraging and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Preston Fernwood for ladies of all ages and stages of life.

Negative experience: Updated from 5 stars to 1 star ... Sorry I do not like the owner she is very bossy .. I hate this gym and I can even force my self to go ... I do notlike the atmosphere .. Advise try to go to other branches they are better thousand times... .. today I met the manager and karina they were super nice and great persons . Excellent ..starting from ladies in the reception super kind, nice and welcoming ... chaning room very nice and clean .. classes super good with Kat and Julia ..machines new and about 30 channels u can watch ... My membership in the city but coming to it at weekend or evening .. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT ...

Fantastic experience: The staff at Fernwood are very nice and helpful, also there is the option to buy a after hours pass so that you can use the gym any time 24-7, which is great and the centre is very secure so you feel safe even when you go and work out at night. Great gym, highly recommended.
