Fantastic experience: BEST GYM IN BERWICK - I have been a member of Fit and Firm Berwick for the last 2.5 years. (before Covid hit was a member for 1.5 years before having to cancel my membership) It has everything I want and need from a local gym with a large variety of different equipment. Most of all I feel very comfortable with training at this gym as there is a great vibe among the members. It genuinely feels like your own community within the 4 walls. Based on other gyms I have worked out from over the years, this Gym is right up there and offers everything that these other gyms have to offer (besides a sauna) at a cheaper weekly rate. Only Issue that I have ever had with this gym, was in the past, sometimes equipment would take a little longer than I would like to get fixed which would be frustrating at times, however the current manager Liam is always on top of this and things get done straight away and this is no longer an issue. I also do believe that he has really taken this gym to the next level with making sure that he is there to assist you and help you with any of your own fitness goals and needs. Always friendly and happy to assist with anything!! On Liam himself as a personal trainer, I have had him train me for the last 12 weeks and I have found him to be an awesome personal trainer. What makes him into a good personal trainer (comparison to others that I have used over the years) is he will make sure to understand what you want to achieve and how far and what limits he can push you too, without breaking you, rather than pushing you too hard and you then not wanting to return to next week’s session as it was just too hard!! He has now given me the programs/tools that I can now use on my own moving forward!! Thanks again Liam!! Highly recommend Berwick Fit and Firm!!! 10 out of 10 Gym!!

Highly recommended! The workouts are fun, the fellow members are inspiring, the workouts are led by personal trainers who are really awesome and helpful, they make you feel really comfortable!! I am certainly satisfied and have been blown away by my experience at this facility!!!

Fantastic experience: Joined this local, friendly & fun gym a few months ago & can’t rate it highly enough. The manager Liam is a gem with my 8yo son as well as the clients of all ages & fitness levels who attend. The men & women attending the group classes have been welcoming & we all share a laugh through the pain & breathlessness. If you feel daunted when joining pls know I was 104kgs just 6yrs ago so know how it feels to be unsure as you embark on the journey of improving your health…… But is SOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!! Fantastic experience: I joined Fit n Firm in July, after a relapse in my health condition (P.O.T.S). Previously, I’ve never enjoyed going to the gym, but Liam created a series of programs dedicated to getting my health back on track. My experience at Fit n Firm has been excellent, and I’d never go anywhere else. My physical and mental health are better than they’ve been in years, and my husband has now joined up too. I would encourage anyone to give it a go.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to FNF now for about three months and it's been a wonderful experience. As someone with no gym experience I was hesitant when joining, but from the minute I walked in I was greeted with care and compassion. The gym is clean and well maintained, with new equipment added regularly. I have been working with Liam through a PT program where I have just signed on for another 3 months, my program is custom fit for me and he ensures that every exercise is catered to my injuries, my needs and my goals. I have had a great experience during my time here and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Walking into the gym is like coming to see a friend, always happy to see you and proud to see you smashing goals. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The perfect place to start your training journey. michael liam and James are legends knows how to push u hard and makes u challenge yourself to your highest standards. I started train over a year ago and loving every bit of challenges. I've been doing personal training with michael for over year and michael has seen me grow from when i firststartedtill now. What you waiting for in going for for goals in health and fitness. Lastly you have friends for life who makes u feel great about yourself.

Negative experience: I initially signed up for a 3-month free trial gym membership through a Facebook ad, which did not mention any additional terms. However, during my consultation with Liam at the Berwick location, I learned that the offer was actually tied to a 12-month contract, not a standalone promotion as advertised. Liam also mentioned that such an offer would not be feasible for the gym financially. When asked how other people react to this "disclaimer", he indicated they are fine with it because they understand the value of it. Additionally, I received numerous promotional text messages, which were attributed to a newly introduced system. The language used in these messages was also misleading. I’ve attached screenshots so you can judge for yourself. I find this misleading advertising quite disappointing. Other gyms offer shorter trial periods with no strings attached, whereas this one seems to use deceptive tactics to get an edge over others. I asked Liam to have the business owner contact me for clarification, but it’s been a month with no response. This lack of follow-up indicates a disregard for customer concerns. I'm writing this post so future customers can ask the right questions before stepping into their gym.

Fantastic experience: As a cleaning operator who cleaned the gym recently, I am very impressed with the owner's attention on hygiene and cleaniess of the gym. All machines and facilities are in a great condition as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been apart/attending this gym for 5 or so years now and it has always been great, staff are friendly and welcoming always! I attend early morning classes during the week and are always enjoyable, different each day and always working on different parts of the body. Fit n Firm staff always are taking on feedback and improving in ways they can, especially with opening up another morning class during the week due to high demand. This gyms prices are affordable and better than places in the area. Would definitely recommend this gym and anyone interested in group fitness classes.

Positive experience: i attended this gym before moving away, i did enjoy my time at it, however i cancelled my membership and said they would still charge a month which is fine but the money stopped coming out of my account at the end of that month but all of a sudden for the last three or so weeks, they’ve started charging me again and everytime i try to call to see what’s going on, there’s no anwser at all. it is very frustrating

Fantastic experience: A very welcoming and friendly gym, which is very professionally set up with excellent quality equipment. Staff listen carefully to members , establishing their individual needs for exercise. Individualised programs are provided and staff give useful guidance. Group exercise is also available and is very popular here. The personal training is of an excellent standard and has helped me to maximise my results. My health and fitness have greatly improved. I would highly recommend this gym.

The energy, equipment and super helpful and engaging staff make it an easy place to kick some fitness goals and stick at it. Special shoutout to Ash, a trainer there. I swear he works there the whole 24/7 schedule, and always has a smile on his face is ready to help. Big appreciation to him and the whole team ️❤️

Negative experience: I only signed for a 6 month contract a year and a half ago and I am still being charged to this day. Tried to cancel and wouldn't let me cancel unless I go in with their limited staff hours and I am working fulltime. Blocked payments after weeks of no help and now a debt of $300 is trying to be taken from me by a debt collector. I only went a handful of times as the staff are rude and the gym itself is very average for the price..

Positive experience: 1 hour in a zim a day keep the doc away

Negative experience: Lucky theres no button where you press 0 stars. So dissatisfied with the treatment from the staff and boss. I canceled my membership by signing it with one of the new staff members saying that it has been fully paid and cancelled. Then, I got heaps of calls saying I haven’t cancelled anything and I still have to pay 100 bucks, although an amount was coming out of my bank account monthly. They wouldnt even explain why I needed to pay an extra. They give you a good offer to start with, then STEAL YOUR MONEY. I’d also like to add onto that, that my airpods and credit card were STOLEN IN THE GYM. I asked cameras to be check but they said they saw nothing.

Positive experience: I'm not one for going to the gym but I thought maybe I should give it a go as I am overweight and getting older, my daughter also decided to join me. They offered a free two month trial which we thought would be a good idea, unfortunately it was on condition that we had to sign a 12 month contract. So should we decide we didn't like it (which we don't) we still have to pay the weekly charge of $14.95. (This in itself is an incentive to keep going, I suppose.) The gym itself is very good for a smaller gym. It has most of the usual equipment that larger gyms have, just not as many. It is conveniently situated at Parkhill Shopping Centre and is available 24 hours a day, which suits my daughter and me. Although I must say that the music that they play is too loud. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Fit N Firm gym for anyone who enjoys working out and getting fitter.

Positive experience: Good trainers/staff good equipment and overall just a perfect gym for me only reason it got a 4 star is because on the welcome pack it said 10 family visits but when I got there they said the family members need to be over 18 than my family left because they couldn't try any of the equipment.

Because it's a smaller gym, we find it a comfortable space that's not intimidating and the staff are really friendly. It has recently recieved all brand new equipment so it's essentially a brand new gym. Keep up the great work F&F! :)

Positive experience: Loving the new updated equipment. This has been my fallback gym due to convenience, but now no need to go elsewhere. Those training provide a welcoming atmosphere, hopefully the staff follow suit.

Negative experience: I called to ask about prices. After getting what I want and let the know I was just looking, I then continued to receive multiple calls and messages (atleast 6), even after explaining as well as opting out to marketing messages I still continued to get more. It may be a nice gym, who knows. But this way of getting customers really isn’t working for me, I feel harassed. Sorry guys, but this has to stop. Giving two stars rather than one, as I can’t comment about the gym itself, maybe it’s ok.

Negative experience: I have never been to this place nor would I ever. Yet somehow they keep sending me “promotions” and offers for another clients name. Every time I reply with “STOP” as per the opt out option but that seems to do nothing. I have now had 6 messages from them. Can you please stop sending me messages!

Negative experience: I tried the 1 week trial here and it has exposed to me how predatory these people are. After trying to push me to sign a contract on the very first day, I refused and went about my workout. The gym is very small, overcrowded, and alot of the equipment is outdated. I left underwhelmed and not wanting to return. However, I received multiple calls and SMS messages still trying to convince me to return and sign up. I opted out of the SMS alerts and they still keep sending them! Avoid!

Negative experience: A fine gym, but really disappointed that there was no appeals process for contracts re:personal circumstances. I moved out of the area unexpectedly due to a personal crisis 2 months into a 12 month contract and was not offered any reprieve or even a discount for paying out the contract. I'll be going back to a no lock-in gym.

Negative experience: I am sorry to be writing this review, as I was a member of Fit n Firm for many years. However, the treatment that my family has received from Fit n Firm has been very dishonest and disappointing. I encouraged my family members to join this gym. My husband joined and after considerable time realised that he had been charged double for almost a year. Fit n Firm agreed and compensated by giving my youngest son a years membership which is still ongoing due to covid. My eldest son joined and after many months he started to see various random payments being taken from his account, in addition to the usual weekly amount. Once again, Fit n Firm apologised and assured my son this would not happen again. Our trust as a family of this company was waning. A few weeks later unauthorised payments were being taken out of my eldest sons account again. He contacted the bank who advised him to cancel his bank card at considerable inconvenience. Once again, Fit n Firm apologised and refunded the money. They had two accounts in his name for some reason. My son explained that he did not feel comfortable giving them his bank details any longer. They had broken the contract by taking unauthorised payments numerous times. He is in education, living at home, coping with a pandemic. Instead of apologising, maintaining customer relations, my sons account was passed to a debt collector. The amount has now increased to $290 which is the remainder of his membership and I presume fees. What kind of customer service is this?! They took numerous unauthorised payments from our family for months. We have tried to contact Fit n Firm, who do not reply. We are taking this matter further, but before you join this gym, realise that their customer service is not acceptable. If you do join, be sure to check your bank statements regularly!!

I enjoy my workouts and feel completely comfortable while l’m there exercising. Being open 24/7 is so convenient and means l don’t have to wait to use the equipment and can get my workout done quickly when l am short on time, l highly recommend this local gym.

Fantastic experience: I joined in April 2017 and have since participated in two 12 week challenges as well as attending 4-6 times a week. I have lost 10kg and made many new friends. It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with knowledgeable and motivating PT’s. I love the group classes but feel comfortable just going for a workout whenever I have time. Close and convenient is also very important to create a lasting, permanent change to your lifestyle

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the gym since Jan 2017 on a consistent 4 to 5 day per week basis. I have heard the term "Community Gym" used to describe Fit n Firm and I think that is the most apt description. They Gym community is representative of a broad cross section of the community; from young ladies getting into shape for their special day to young guys and girls undertaking fitness training to support their other sports such as football, soccer and swimming amongst other sports. Then there are those like me who after several years of abusing their bodies have decided to do something about it. I have found that the gym community there are both respectful and support with a fantastic atmosphere. The biggest challenge in keeping committed to a fitness regime is just turning up. With a brilliant location, plenty of parking and 24 hour access therefore, it is so easy just to turn up, the rest then takes care of itself.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member from the beginning and find that this 24/7 gym is extremely convenient, modern and friendly. The staff are very good at thinking "outside the box" and go out of their way to support members. As a participant in the first 12 week challenge, I highly recommend participating in one of these if you want extra support to achieve your goals.

Fantastic experience: After rupturing my ACL 4 yrs ago I became very unfit and overweight so I joined Fit n Firm in Jan 17. I was off to Greece and had set myself a goal to lose 20kg's by the end of June '17. With a lot of hard work, encouragement and guidance by everyone at Fit n Firm I lost 17kg by June and am feeling awesome!!! I absolutely love it there and have met some amazing people. We are like 1 big happy family. Thanks guys!!!
