Anytime Fitness

Negative experience: I purchased my membership on your website on July 17th. I chose to start my membership on July 19th, and planned to go to the gym that day to get my key and set up my membership. However, your gym caught fire on July 19th. No one responded to my calls and emails. I went to another Anytime Fitness and told them my situation. They told me that I must go to your gym to complete my membership setup and get my key before I can work out at another gym, or ask you for a refund, otherwise I cannot use it. When I tried to contact you again, no one responded to me. My money has been paid, but I can't work out. I need you to refund my money.

Negative experience: I was a member of the East Keilor gym before having to use this one for a month while in between houses and I've gotta say... I'm shocked that they are the same price. I understand it's a franchise but they really should charge based on the quality of the gym. Equipment is old and out dated (for example the treadmills), and due to how small the gym is there's a large amount of equipment that they don't have, including an abduction machine, shoulder press and leg curl machine, which is basic gym equipment. There's no air conditioning just a couple of fans, so it's always too hot to get a proper workout in, it makes it so uncomfortable. The gym mats are old and tattered with literal chunks of foam missing from them from how old they are, and the vending machine has no snacks or drinks, just a couple of cans of solo and pepsi. Can't wait to go to a better location, this one needs a major overhaul.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym and great staff. The gym is on the smaller side however all the equipment you would typically need is available. The gym is very clean and everything is put back in the right place so you don't waste time collecting what you need. The gym doesn't get too busy and the members are generally very polite, as such even though it is smaller than other gyms in the area it is actually more efficient to work out here. There is a good diversity in weights and machines so you don't need to wait around for someone to finish. The staff are really helpful and responsive.

Fantastic experience: Nice little gym. Not the cheapest but I live super close and there are so many anytime fitnesses so it’s worth it. Has all the basics you’ll need and it’s never super busy.

Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn and Natalie are super friendly and amazing at the front. Always feel welcomed. Gym is clean and equipment in good condition. I wish the gym was a bit bigger so that it can have classes or a punching bag. But overall, love the gym and the people there.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, the gym is not just small but there’s a lot of equipment that is broken or falling apart. It’s a shame that the manager or owner hasn’t taken the opportunity to invest in uplifting the gym. On the positive side, the staff were very polite and friendly. (Home gym is Sydney but was visiting for a week).

Positive experience: Nice, clean little AF! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is small, so try to go at non-popular times so you have some extra personal space. Convenient location in the plaza.

Negative experience: My experience with this gym left much to be desired. Initially, I cancelled both my membership and my girlfriend's at the same time, or so I believed. They assured me that my membership was cancelled, but they strangely couldn't locate my girlfriend's records. I provided her name as it appeared on their files and assumed it was resolved. However, for four consecutive months, they continued to charge my card without any prior notice. I would have caught this earlier, but circumstances compelled me to travel overseas, where my credit card bills were being sent to my old address, making it impossible for me to access their online portal. While I accept some responsibility for not being more vigilant, I find it laughable that they consistently shift the blame onto me, insisting that it was entirely my fault for not double-checking. The gym's failure to follow through on their promise to cancel my membership was the primary source of this issue, and now they refuse to provide a refund. Their proposed solution was a 6-month free membership, which, unfortunately, doesn't serve me well since I now reside in a location without any Anytime Fitness branches. To compound the issue, the gym itself is severely lacking. It's incredibly tiny, making it virtually impossible to engage in any effective workouts. If you're looking for a gym where the owners consistently pass the blame onto customers and offer subpar facilities, then this might be the place for you.

Negative experience: Really good staff but the gym itself is very small. The equipment is pretty old and everything is rusty and unclean. Would prefer to pay the same and go to a nice looking gym such a Derumit or Snap. Not everyone's cup of tea, i would say.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with lovely hospitality, the manager AJ is a top bloke who is willing to provide assistance with anyones fitness. Great people and plenty of equipment for your fitness needs. Definitely recommend!!

Positive experience: So hard to get this crew on the phone, and I have to chase up all the shabby billing. CJ is NOT an honourable manager, When I phone from the carpark to receive the message he's too busy to answer but I see him scrolling his Facebook inside and I was 3 extra weeks into charges because he NEVER RETURNS calls and emails. Time to switch

Fantastic experience: My ‘irregular’ membership. The staff are attentive and it’s a very clean setting with multiple clients of all shapes and sizes. It’s not a competitive vibe between clients using the gym. Facilities are on par with the franchise and easy parking!

Fantastic experience: A compact sized gym which has exactly what’s needed, and always kept immaculate. Staff are great too, especially AJ, who is always handy and up for a quick chat incase if we need anything.

Positive experience: I’ve started this gym 2 years ago! It’s good gym people very helpful. Didn’t know much about gym stuff. Then I met Ricky PT since they reopened after lock down. He’s very helpful and really motivated. He pushed me a lot to achieve my fitness goal. Definitely Worth checking out

Fantastic experience: Great environment, great manager (AJ) and GREAT vibes. My Mrs. went for a trail and sign up instantly once it ended. When I asked her why, she responded with "why wouldn't I? this is the only gym where I can actually workout without feeling judged and the workers are so friendly, it would be stupid not to join." Great job guys! keep up the good work! Big shout out to the manager AJ for creating such a safe and welcoming place for all to join.

Negative experience: Poor response. I moved to geelong and when I called geelong Club they said the club transfer is in Hours or max one day waited for 10 days no response. They don't care about the people who want to change the location. When I want to leave the gym there is no key return and no money back for the key paid when I joined. During the time when I joined they mentioned the money will be back if I return the key. But now they are saying just throw the key in the bin...no money.. not good and not worth it . Worst ...other gyms are less cost and better space ..

Positive experience: Amazing Customer Service from the Management Team. Service with a smile. A great gym to start with. Limited machines for workout but then again it's a small gym. The team will assist you to utilise each and everyone of them appropriately. Highly recommended :)

Negative experience: Although I'm a member of the gym, hate that unhealthy environment. Minimal space and a few unorganized equipments create an anarchy. I wish there was a better 24/7 franchise near my place.

Although I would love that they find space if possible for a punching bag so that people can do boxing exercises and that they offer exercise classes to those who need one? Overall the staff is friendly and I enjoy chatting with them.

Positive experience: I find this outlet cleaner than the Footscray Anytime Fitness, but smaller. It still has a good selection of equipment for it's size however. I found the rowing machine chain to be quite slack but other equipment/machines seemed well-maintained. It's in a decent location at Central West, so plenty of parking. Would happily visit again during quieter periods.

Negative experience: Worst anytime fitness around. All the equipment just crammed in there. You definitely don't want to stuck with a 2 year contract there

Fantastic experience: New management has turned this little gem into a very friendly and clean gym to train at. Floor space isn’t the greatest but if your looking for convince and a local gym to train at then this would be it. Just pick the right times to train at and you can have the whole gym to yourself.

Positive experience: I go here frequently, good commited husband and wife staff with large range of equipment and space. Unfortunately some of the other members can't follow simple rules which isn't the gyms fault as they do their best by displaying rules and guides while also cleaning up after everyone. All in all one of the better Anytimes I've been to.

Fantastic experience: Loving the changes and the energy that the NEW manager is bring to this place. Yes it is compact, however the manager is is very experienced in how members can get the most out of equipment and utilising the current space and wellness overall. Love how you can use the gym anytime once you have signed up. The manager is on site during noted "open" hours and is very approachable.

Positive experience: The range of equipment is good, however floor space is limited. There are a number of newer Anytime Fitness locations in the neighbouring suburbs.

Negative experience: Such a horrible nasty man running the west Footscray anytime fitness. I was going to join, however after meeting and speaking to this man I will never, ever join an anytime fitness in Melbourne. He was so rude and I plan on going above he's head to complain. Not generally one to get someone in trouble, but I'm absolutely disgusted in the way I was made to feel. If I could rate 0 stars I would!

Negative experience: Management staff are always unavailable. They don't even pick up phones. Don't believe them if they have given you an appointment.

Negative experience: Worst gym and staff I have ever seen .they just know to rip you off and not at all cooperative and Mat the manager at gym is completely rude and just focus on making money ..I don't say anytime fitness first is not good but the staff at west footscray is worst .THEY SAY SOMETHING AND DO SOMETHING ELSE ,really disappointed
