Negative experience: I been using plus fitness gyms all around Sydney. This is the worst one on all levels. Small with limited equipment and horrible customer service, I was told to leave for wearing work safety shoes. What a F joke. Horrible experience

Fantastic experience: The gym is fantastic. I've been working out at Plus Fitness Ashfield for almost two years now and I've never encountered any problems with staff or other members, with all my interactions only ever being positive and friendly. The membership pricing is fair and reasonable - being slightly cheaper than what my friends pay at anytime fitness. The equipment is high quality and incredibly clean. Only slight complaint is I wish there were higher weight options on the chest press and midrow machines. Overall a very great gym that I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Gym is pretty clean and in good condition. But I do have a point that I want to make that I had to pay a late fee because the payment was due on a Sunday and I couldn’t call anyone and the log in portal was nuts. I had to pay 11 dollars because the company that plus fitness contract with said so ! That is ridiculous i pay plus fitness not some company and it’s not about the money I just felt I was paying for something silly. And what more ridiculous is that the staff said there is nothing we can do about it, bro !!every company can deduct and discount every one knows this fact it is not a secret, at this instant I really did not feel my loyalty rewarded.

Negative experience: They made it extremely difficult to cancel my membership. They provided no ways of cancelling without physically coming into the gym. I find this very unethical. People have all sorts of things going on in their lives and you can’t expect them to physically attend to cancel. That is how you scam people. Make it difficult to cancel so they keep paying. It’s 2024, digital contracts exist. It shouldn’t be that hard to cancel. I will never return to any plus fitness branch because of this ridiculous policy.

Negative experience: As a customer of Plus Fitness, I was disappointed to find out how difficult they make it to cancel a membership. Despite being treated well as a member, when it came time to cancel, I was met with obstacles and inconvenience. Their motto of "keep paying us and don't come to the gym" felt all too true. To make matters worse, I had to travel 70 km to physically go to the gym in person to cancel. There was no other way to cancel, and I was left with the choice to either keep paying or make the trek. Furthermore, after all this, I was questioned harshly if I left a negative rating or feedback. It felt like they didn't care about my experience or opinion. I urge new members to be aware of these practices and to consider their options carefully. Your time and money are valuable, and you deserve better.

Negative experience: Was asked to buy a towel by one of the staff member. I was the only girl training and every other men around me didn’t have one but was not asked to buy one. I guess the girl working felt like I was the only one that had to respect the rules, a lot easier I guess to confront another girl - great environment !

Negative experience: I wrote an email for cancellation of my annual membership after a year because I rarely went to the gym. They firstly asked me to come to the gym location itself for cancelling the membership due to their “cancellation policy”. When I went to the location today, they say that the membership will only be cancelled after a month even though my yearly membership has already expired. Overall experience throughout the year was good but the cancellation policy is terrible. Now, I have to do 3 more payments even after cancelling my membership today!!

Negative experience: Run away from this gym The staff are the rudest people ever The guy Casey told me to leave today and never come back when I was asking about the text message I have received regarding a weigh left on the machine and they called this action as an OFFENCE! Seriously do not you think this is a very strong word?!!!! Offence. Also they have emailed me in different circumstances for stupid reasons like no pass scanned while entering the club with my partner. If you can recognise a member by their face, so you know they are member , this is very very disrespectful.

Negative experience: Lady at the gym working there was do rude to me when I was explaining to a nice lady that u don't need a gym to work out. Elastic bands and walking plus stairs are all things you can do to exercise. But I was cut off on my talking. I even called her a nice lady,,,,, before she cur me off.... Worst customer service ever. Never go here....

I have had to put my membership on hold a few times and cancel once due to personal circumstances and the staff were so helpful and understanding when I needed to do so. I've recently started seeing a personal trainer Callum at the gym who is great!

Negative experience: Not part of the fitness passport program, which was a disappointment

Negative experience: The Gym is alright bit cramped and they would charge me then refund me the day after so I am forced to pay the late charge fee even though I paid on time.

Fantastic experience: One of the best Plus Fitness gyms in inner west. Sometimes it’s really crowded tho. All the equipment are always cleaned up regularly and work well. Car space in the basement sometimes can be full during the peak hours but better than nothing. Cheers. Staff are always nice

Fantastic experience: Went in enquiring about membership, had to get processed in order to speak to membership chick, got a tour and will sign up as a result. Clean, good equipment, wasn't busy when I went mid morning, AC blasting, good selection of free weights which is what a good gym should have. Loads of parking too.

Negative experience: Edit 9/5/24 - guys, I moved a *year* ago and you're only replying now? Yikes --------------- Gym itself is fine but the staff interactions were the biggest downfall. When I needed to cancel due to moving and being too far away from the closest branch, I felt like I was being interrogated. Cancelling shouldn't be difficult and I shouldn't receive attitude from the staff because I don't want to disclose where I'm moving to. That is the only time I have spoken to the staff, they might as well not be there during staffed hours.

Negative experience: Staff unforgiving in personal circumstances and lie multiple times on making contact when they never did. Also went as far as to call me up and ask me to come into the gym for alleged not putting one weight plate back which wasn't even me. It's also full of school kids walking around shirtless until 9pm. More of a gym for kids and not professional adults wanting peace and quiet. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: So glad to have stumbled onto this gym after illness, it's given me a chance to slowly ease back into exercise in a clean and friendly environment. There's always room between machines, free weight space and benches. Parking under the building is exactly what I needed and its always pretty clean and stocked with wipes.

Fantastic experience: The nicest Plus Fitness gym I have visited.

Positive experience: New 24 hour gym. Not too busy when I go there, which gives me the chance to finish all my exercises with minimal delay. Machines are clean and new. Only thing making this review 4 stars instead of 5 is there is only one pair of 12.5kg+ dumbbells. I'm used to there being 2 pairs of each. This can sometimes decrease the efficiency of your workout as you have to wait for someone to finish their exercise.

Negative experience: A gym is not a library. If you want members to keep noise to a minimum, establish a gym under a residential building. Also, don’t threaten members to have their membership cancelled if noise is not to a minimum. It’s a gym. Think next time where you build a gym
