23W Essendon

Fantastic experience: I have just joined 23W and have attended the 2 hot mat classes thus far which I enjoyed. Got a great workout at both, with Allie using bands and Harper using weights. Both classes were different but being in a heated room got me sweating and activating different muscle groups. Both instructors were encouraging and supportive which I appreciated. So I look forward to attending more classes. I also completed my body scan and mapped my goals with Korina. She was so welcoming and walked me through the studio and answered all the questions I had which was just super I look forward to being part of the Essendon 23W community and achieving my health and fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Hot Mat Pilates class. Allie brings an amazing intensity and vibe to the class. Loved the challenges and modifications. Definitely worked up a sweat and felt incredible afterwards.

Fantastic experience: The brand new 23W Essendon gym is the most incredible female focused gym! There are mommy classes, heated mat pilates, heated yoga, weight training and more. So excited to try more! All the trainers are so accommodating and friendly, highly recommend!

Having Strong (if you haven't tried this class yet you really should) and Reformer Pilates in the same place provides GREAT diversity for training - Both very challenging in their own way. All the trainers are wonderful, facilities pristine and equipment is new. Highly recommend giving this studio a go

Fantastic experience: I started reformer Pilates at Sage Essendon 4 months ago after suffering from bursitis in my shoulder I am so happy with my results with a full recovery and my body feels stronger, longer and more balanced! At 55years of age I love the challenge and am feeling pretty good especially after Deans kick arse classes! Highly recommended this beautiful studio and the wonderful caring staff! Fantastic experience: All of the instructors and classes are wonderful at Sage. The instructors make an effort to learn your name, which makes it a lot more personable. The studio is also very spacious, which makes it feel like there’s a lot of room between you and the other people in the class!

Fantastic experience: Calming studio space with highly experienced trainers. Classes offer a good variety of flows and skill progressions/ regressions to meet you when you are. Always a joy training here!

Positive experience: Beautiful new studio, nice to have mixed reformer and mat classes! My only suggestion would be to offer more options for each move to scale it up or down.

Fantastic experience: I've tried many reformer and Pilates studios using ClassPass and often never stick to one until Sage. The classes are fantastic, well thought out, great layout and the teachers are so nice and great at leading beginners to advanced people. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to start or looking to change up their usual studio.

Fantastic experience: Sage definitely deserves 5-stars (or more). The studio was spacious and clean with well-maintained equipment. The class I attended (Fusion) was well thought of. It followed a challenging but fun flow. The instructor Sophie was also really friendly and encouraging. The Essendon studio had great amenities too (hot room and sauna) which I look forward to trying too. I initially tried the Brunswick studio and met some of the team there, which were all so friendly and welcoming. More than the great experience in class and studio, the team behind Sage also deserves 5-stars

Fantastic experience: About 3 months ago now I made the brave (for me) decision to try pilates. As someone who suffers from chronic migraines any type of exercise can cause me anxiety before I even start, but I knew I needed to work on my strength and flexibility. I reached out to Ania at Sage who from the start was SOOO supportive. I had a 1:1 session with Esther to get myself started and then I have been hooked ever since. I’ve noticed such a difference in my day to day life since I’ve started and my overall health has been feeling amazing. I never thought I would get up to doing 4 classes a week, but I am so motivated with how reasonably priced my package pass is. I love every single instructor, and I love when they comment on my progress! Dean, Rhylee, Em and Soph have probably been my consistents and I love how different and motivating they all are. They give off such a a family vibe and I love my evenings at Sage!! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been enjoying the classes with the team at Sage for a little over a year. I’d never done Pilates before, am a bit older than I’d like to admit to anyone and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. From my first conversation with the amazing Dean before I even started, I felt comfortable and confident that the team really love what they do and know their stuff. Every single one of them make sure we as clients are learning constantly. I’ve also found it’s helped greatly with my flexibility and strength, which can sometimes start to go a little sideways as we get older. Every class is different and every instructor has their own style which keeps things fresh and interesting, while offering great challenges that they will help you achieve. I can’t recommend the Sage Pilates team highly enough. Yes, the space is incredible and the cost is very reasonable, with packages available to suit every budget, but it really is the team that will draw you in. Everyone is welcome and for beginners or if you’re older, you won’t find a better team to help you achieve your goals at your own pace. You just need to give it a go! Also, do yourself a favour and make sure you do a class with the fabulous Rhylee, her classes are excellent!

Fantastic experience: I have been training with the team from the start , first under the FS8 banner and now as Sage Essendon. I cannot recommend the studio, trainings and the incredible team highly enough. The trainings are super effective, alternating days that either involve weights and pilates (reformer beds) or other props like rings and balls and Pilates involving reformer beds. The trainers are amazing and the studio is just beautiful. The fact that there’s a class almost every hour of the day from 5am and an easy online booking system makes it super flexible and impossible to find a reason not to train.

Fantastic experience: Sage Essendon is genuinely the best Pilates studio for so many reasons, the space they have created is so wholesome and relaxing it always feels like a place you can’t wait to go to not somewhere you have to force yourself to go to! The whole team is absolutely amazing everyone is so friendly and welcoming and give off the vibe that they all genuinely want to be there and help you the best they can, each coach brings something different to every class in their own way! The way the classes are designed is phenomenal you can tell everything is thought out purposely to help you and your body not only in the class but I’m everyday life and the trainers do an amazing job at educating and explaining that to you during classes! In the past I have felt with other Pilates programs I wasn’t getting enough out of them but sage has an amazing attention to detail with their programs and I can easily say I leave every class feeling fulfilled like I have worked every part of my body and feel stronger and stronger every single week! You guys genuinely just do such an amazing job and I couldn’t thank you enough for giving me a place I enjoying coming to :) ❤️

Fantastic experience: I had an injury that had me upset and down which I thought would had prevented me from going back to my normal exercise routine, but with the guidance and encouragement from the fantastic, cool, professional FS8 TEAM I was able to gain strength and im pretty much back to normal. Classes are always fun and I have never done the same class since I started from opening day. I love the combination of the different mats and pilates exercises, it carters for an overall body workout . I love that balance exercises is included as it is so important ,especially to some of us young girls that are more wiser and mature . I would recommend to everyone to be part of the FS8 TEAM. It is fantastic for all ages, all form and shape and all levels of exercise. I LOVE IT. ❤

FS8 is a one of a kind studio located right at the heart of Essendon with plenty of car parking.FS8 is well equipped and incredibly clean. Fantastic experience: Normally someone intimidated out of trying gym or classes on my own, the staff here have made a massive difference in helping me get back into exercise post baby. Really nice people that always say hey and remember who I am and to offer alternate exercises for certain things. The classes themselves are well structured and would suit people of all fitness levels. Would recommend giving it a go if you’re considering it

On day one, I was welcomed and shown around. The facilities are amazing. Fresh, light and always pristine. I love the classes and the fact that they combine pilates, yoga and strength training. The team are amazing and know all the participants by name. They’re always so friendly and helpful and make you feel comfortable while providing useful feedback and corrections to ensure proper technique. The classes are fun and I walk out feeling ready to tackle the day. I’m seeing great results and feeling much healthier. I’m able to get through my days feeling energetic and positive. Fantastic experience: What an experience. The team at FS8 Essendon are so much fun, but such professionals as well. Always with a keen eye on your form, so quick to help you with a modification for those of us who need that. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. Fantastic experience: A gorgeous space that's inclusive and calming, whilst also leaving you sweaty and sore in the BEST possible way! The great balance of reformer and mat pilates also makes classes fly by. It's pilates.. but with jazz hands and I don't know where else you'll get that!
