Fantastic experience: I recently visited this gym and was really impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it easy to feel comfortable right away. The gym features modern equipment that’s well-maintained, providing everything you need for a great workout. The ambience is fantastic—bright, clean, and motivating. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a positive environment for members and visitors alike. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

Fantastic experience: Did a good workout here. Saturday afternoon. Pretty new weights and machines. Lots of equipment available. Not too busy, but it was a nice day and so I think people were probably at the beach. Staff seemed friendly too. Visiting from out of town.

Fantastic experience: I left my keys behind at the gym and was immediately helped by Jason when I contacted the gym. He kept them safe until my arrival no questions asked. Amazing customer service.

Fantastic experience: Been to more than a few Anytime locations and this is the best I know of. Space, equipment, organisation, cleanliness, layout etc are all exceptional. I first visited the week it opened, and a few years later it looks exactly the same. Visit the bay every year and I look forward to training here as much as I do the holiday. Only downside is it’s not my home club- so a week every year is the best I get.

Fantastic experience: AF Salamander Bay is absolutely amazing ! Being a Sydney Resident, it is so refreshing to come to a different club and be welcomed by the amazing staff :) Cody and Gabby welcomed me in as one of their own members and Jason was so keen to have a chat on the floor which was very comforting on my first visit here. 10/10, wish I could move up here and train here all the time ! I will definitely be back :))

Negative experience: Disgusting service. Been a long time member of anytime fitness and never had any issues Australia wide. Attempted to train with a friend who was willing to pay a casual fee as we always do at multiple AF clubs. Met at the door by a staff member who advised not to worry about payment, to train, and that it could be sorted later. Later received multiple harassing phone calls by the owner and staff demanding a large fee and accusing us of tailgating. Absolute crooks.

Fantastic experience: For 3 years I was signed up to another gym in the area, and rarely went. Since signing up to anytime a few months ago, I haven’t stopped going! For the first time ever I am consistent with my training, my motivation has stayed high & I’ve noticed so much progress in just a short time. The staff have been such a big part of that. Each and every one of them are so friendly, encouraging and helpful. And are genuine in wanting me to succeed. Cody, club manager, has given me so much advice and tips and even some exercises when I’ve been stuck! Doing it by myself at first was intimidating but he’s helped a lot. From Tanya with her classes, to Jason, and the PT’s, they have all also been great motivators and support! All other members are so friendly too, such a good environment. Love this place.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Salamander Bay is one of the best gyms i have step foot in. The place is clean and equipment is in great condition for members to utilise. The staff are friendly and take feeback well and are always happy to help. Cody the manager always is willing to help even to the extent of taking machines apart when car keys fall in the stair master. Overall fabulous gym! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Qualified & respectful employees. Large and organised facility with ample working space. Comprehensive collection of well-maintained equipment. Furthermore, ignore Chris Murphy’s biased and spoiled review found below. As he thinks being denied a free workout at a gym he has never been to before, counteracts everything this facility does right, down to a one-star review. Delusional and arrogant and used it to talk himself up.

Fantastic experience: Since my first day joining I have had nothing but positive experiences, staff are super friendly and caring. Facility is always clean and has everything required for your fitness goals.

Negative experience: Little disappointing, I’ve been in the fitness industry with the biggest company’s in the world for 10+ years. I Hold the record for most sales and have run the largest teams up to 30+. I have sold brands as a franchise manager to add, my first encounter was very disappointing, the service was extremely low and I was told I can’t get a trial pass if I don’t live in the area, found this quite odd as I told the employee I am moving to the area but regardless was told they dont give a trial pass unless I can prove I live in the area. Thanks anytime but I won’t waste anytime with your brand. Would give zero stars ⭐️ but reviews won’t allow it.

Fantastic experience: love love love this gym!! i came here on holiday and i thought i’d check out this gym, it’s got so much equipment, and one of the cleanest gyms ive been to. 10/10 amazing!!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely adore this gym!! amazing staff, variety of equipment and machines. As well as being the best gym in the bay, Anytime also care for peoples wellbeing and have a station where you can fill up your drink bottle and drink from the bubbler. As well as having a spacious table and mirror, you can use the hair straightener and blowdryer that is supplied for members. Anytime also provides personal sanitary items such as tampons. I think having pads available to those who don't use them would be a good idea but on top of that, they have emergency hair ties!!! I 100% recommend this gym. It's a fun and friendly place with staff members who care for their customers.

Fantastic experience: Amazing all round. Clean and up to date equipment. Staff are so friendly. Bathrooms are always perfect. Definitely stop by and do a class while your there. Overall can’t fault this gym :))

Negative experience: Well, I was asked to leave as I made a formal complaint to the manager about training as a group with my friends and if there was a problem. I was told there was not. Today, he owner/manager of Salamander Bay, Ryan said "I have a problem with you training as a group in the floor area of the gym". We always stayed in our spots, there was always room for other members. Ryan tried to speak to me/our group but was very unprofessional, had the door open to the office when it was a private matter with our group, talked down to me, hand up and was condescending in his manner and rude. He did not get to the point of the discussion as I asked him to tell us what the problem was. He dismissed me and TOLD me to leave the gym. There were no raised voices etc. How unprofessional. Thanks for the time Anytime, but your policy that you want friends to train together is not true. I am so disappointed in this club and he couldn't even take the time to sort it. Dismissed me and my friends and were all told to leave. End of an era. I am the least confronting person, and if he took the time to speak to me rather than talk down to me from his throne, maybe we could of sorted this matter in a productive way.

Fantastic experience: We were members of the Balance gym in Nelson Bay until it closed down during covid. We looked at a few gyms before we decided to join Anytime Fitness. The centre is so very clean, with staff cleaning and wiping equipment throughout the day. The equipment is very modern and well maintained, with staff on hand to help you or just have a chat. Other members are friendly and courteous. We love going to our gym, and haven't regretted our decision to join Anytime Fitness.
