Urth Fitness Belmont

Negative experience: Good Gym Awful music. Has crowd DJ but if you go when either of a certain 2 male staff members are on they monopolise it with dated , boring , repetitive anthemic American heavy metal. OK to have a mix of music but 40 minutes of this stuff has me out the door. Screaming electric guitars are not relaxing. Extremely irritating when exercise is meant to be relaxing. Why are staff allowed to monopolise the music for over half a hour when paying customers are here to enjoy exercise and maybe want to choose some music. It’s very arrogant and selfish.

Fantastic experience: I was in the fitness/gym industry for 12years and have visited, as well as managed, quite a few. This facility is one of the best I have come across as it caters for all, especially those who may feel intimidated at more hard-core gyms. Well worth a look

Negative experience: This gym is definitely dodgy, I’m not sure if it still is but it was when it was planet fitness. I wasn’t under contract and I decided to quit, they kept charging me. And refused to let me quit without a written notice despite not being under contract. When I went to give written notice they mysteriously had none of the forms for it, I wrote on some random paper instead and then apparently they never received it. They then forwarded it on to a debt collection agency who I told I had quit and the agency accepted that.

Fantastic experience: Down from QLD & joined my dad today in gym- what a fabulous facility!! I’d be straight in for that tanning machine!! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Clean, well maintained, friendly staff. Equipment is serviceable and gets the job done, well worth the very economical membership fee. Machines are great quality, the outside free weights area is nice but the barbells and plates are a bit limited in quality and quantity if that matters to you.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE. I'm 14 years old and they don't let me sign up. I rang 2 others and they said aslong as I just do cardio it is alright. Kylie the manager is a very mean person! Stuck up and plain rude.
